Quoted so it can be seen on new page: Int Chetum, GM, GM, GM, Hraken, Keiale The Three cloaked figure jump on the table and rush forward at Hraken and Keiale. PC The first ducks as a blade spinning past sinks into the wall behind him. "Godsspit! I never miss." Chetum curses. GM The ducking flips the first creatures hood back revealing a goblin face painted in heavy pale grease paint. His own dagger flashes out slicing Keiale shoulder (5 damage) he rolls past and GM scrambles under the tables causes patrons to rush away. (Stealth 12) GM The second dives onto Hraken as he is rising from the chair. It digs it's dagger into his shoulder. (damage 4) GM The third jumps over the table misses Hraken his dagger buries stuck in the wood of the chair. He rolls past a customer and goes over a table heading for the fireplace. PCs turn the Goblin have a 13AC and 11hp. Hraken barely feels the dagger as he sinks his teeth deep into the goblin's arm (8 damage vs GM2), the sensation of the warm goblin blood flowing over his gums blocking out the pain. Mechanics: I wonder if I can make passive wisdom perception check to detect the hidding goblin GM1? 10+2+2 = 15? Am I doing that right?

OC Yes that would be how to find him.
Hraken bites down on the goblin's arm and finds the only thing worse than the taste of goblin flesh is the taste of painted and perfumed goblin flesh. He trails the wiggle of tables and see the 1st goblin is heading for Chetum under the tables. Chetum is just the right height to see him coming and has a couple of daggers in hand taking aim.
Keiale grabs the back of the goblin's head you are biting and slams in into the table cracking the table and his skull. The goblin slumps lifeless.
Ologold pulls a gnomish boom stick off the wall and targets the goblin racing to the fireplace. A patron dashes past spoiling his aim and the shot goes high. The roar of the gun causes more patrons to head for the doors.
next round
Hraken can take the first slot or reserve for another's action.

Seeing the goblin racing away awakens the predator within Hraken. He races after him leaping into air, pouncing on the creature. He only manages to grab a fistful of its perfumed robe as it dodges to the side.
Rolled a 7 and failed my attack. At the end of your next post, can I get a brief description of the positions of the active characters?.

I have an idea... If we label columns with letters and rows with numbers, we can easily describe positions and movement in our posts without having to update the map every round. For example, On my last turn I would have moved from K3 to J9 next to goblin, moving 7 spaces or 35ft.
Side note: It looks like I tried to move 5 more feet than my speed, should I just move into position K9 instead and assume I made no attack or failed a range attack instead?

PC Missing the goblin Hraken moves after the other goblin coming up beside the corner of the fireplace the goblin ducked behind.
GM The goblin stabs at Chetum. His blade finds the halfling as he knocks him prone landing on top of him.
GM The goblin by the fireplace tosses a jar of something from his cloak into the fireplace. The jar shatters and blinding smoke begins to pour from the fire. The thick smoke is filling the room.
Chetum stabs the goblin that has him pit and tries to stab him again missing with the second attack.
Keiale rushes over to Chetum she grabs the goblin off of him and swings the goblin headfirst into the wall.
Ologold is reloading his boomstick behind the bar. The rest of the patrons are rushing out the doors and windows.
In the thick smoke Hraken can not see the goblin but he can easily smell him.

Hraken, not letting his failed attack slow him down, sets up for another. The goblin's trick, however, proves more an advantage to Hraken's keen sense of smell. Unable to see through the smoke, the goblin is unable to dodge as Hraken comes crashing down the goblin's back (8 slashing damage).
Confident Keaile and Chetum could handle the other goblin, and knowing the value of questioning such a bold goblin, Hraken resists the urge to kill the little creature. Instead he directs all of anger and frustration directly at the back of the goblin's head in the form of a deafening roar. Hraken then, signaling to Ologold to hold his fire, growled to the goblin angrily in goblinoid "What are you doing here?"
Mechanics: Hraken's pounce attack knocks the goblin prone if it succeeds against a DC14 strength check. If it is knocked prone, hraken gets a free bonus bite attack.
I had wanted to keep the goblin alive for questioning, but because of my hatred for them, and my violent nature. I decided was going to use the bite attack (and likely kill the creature) if I failed to pass a Wisdom saving throw against my own charisma, trying to simulate myself fighting with my inner beast.
I rolled natural 20 for 20+2 for a resounding success, so either way he is kept alive.

The goblin glances to her hand and the old banner she had taken from the fireplace mantle. "We want our honor back, our people back, or tribe back. That is what we come for." She spits in his face.
Outside of the tavern you hear and explosion and people screaming. Dirt and two human bodies fly into the open windows. Through the smoke you can't tell what is out there, but you hear a deep loud laugh.

In the smoke of the tavern you are not sure what the rest are doing though you do hear slamming of a small goblin body into a wall as Kaeaile turns it into paste. Your combat is effectively over for the moment.

Hraken's mind races with anger as he remembers the years of suffering he faced at hands of hobgoblin tribes serving the Red Hand. "Your kind has NEVER had any honor." he hissses, snapping the wretched creatures neck before he barely knew what had happened. Without even looking back Hraken leaps up and slinks under the smoke out into the night to investigate the source of the evil laugh.
Not sure if there is enough smoke to conceal me until I get outside into a dark spot, but I thought I would try. I rolled 19.

You pad low under the smoke and notice Ologold and his kin are coming forward to fight the fire that is spreading in small patches on the floorboards. Whatever was in the jar the goblin threw was sticky and highly flammable.
The people that where trying to get out have now just ducked under the tables. As Hraken reaches the window he notes Chetum and Kaeile closing to either side of him. He sees in the street is an ogre pulling a wagon full of medium sized barrels. On the wagon are robed goblins tossing small jars like the goblin threw into the fireplace. They are hooting and screaming as people run away. The barber shop across the street looks like the site of the large explosion It is a blown out burning wreck that is spreading to the other buildings. Goblins and small fires lead all the way from the town gates to the inn and tavern. They are running, jumping, crawling, screaming, and chanting as they attack the town.
map will come shortly.

Hraken pulls out his crossbow and loads a bolt, sending it streaking through the air, right at one of the goblin's holding jars.
If we can't begin combat yet... scratch this post, otherwise:
I rolled 11 for my ranged attack so I miss unless I'm allowed advantage for being stealthed: my second roll is 18. If successful deals 7 damage.
Assuming the goblins are 13AC I also get extraordinary success in which case I throw one of my javalins (since I can't use crossbow again) at the same goblin if it is range. (Can I do that?) Javalin: 14 attack at 9 damage.
Am I allowed to pull out and throw a javalin on one action? I assume I can if I haven't used up all of my speed. Can I hold the heavy crossbow in one hand when I'm not using it or loading it?
PM me if there are any problems with this, and I will correct them.

Hraken moves over windows edge loads his crossbow and fires. The arrow flies wide over the goblin on the cart. He notes that a number of goblins are rushing to the cart and back for jars. The ogre is yoked around the waist to the cart and is throwing barrels as one of the goblin lights them for him. In his other hand he swings a massive tree trunk. "Wait a sec Hraken Should we be making the explosive tossing ogre mad." He slides out of the tavern and into the bushes. "Where are the Golden Lions." Chetum is climbing up then moving south down the side of the building. Keiale replies,"Halfway to the Orchard to stop it from burning down or at the Festival. By the time they make it here there won't be a town to save." She pulls a javelin from Hraken's back as he is reloading the crossbow. "Thanks for the loaner." The big woman stomps toward the ogre,"Hey beautiful how bought we dance." Combat rounds return PC 3 GM PC 2 GM PC the rest PC- Hraken fires again striking a goblin at the cart the Goblin is struck in the shoulder and bobbles his jar finally throwing in to the right side of the cart. It lands and burst into flame. Hraken drops his crossbow to the ground and pulls his javelin making a smooth throw at the Goblin. The javelin spears him through and the goblin falls dead beside the wagon. GM The ogre does not reach for the next barrel as Keiale approaches with javelin in hand. He sniffs the woman then swings is club viciously. The club lifts the large woman off the ground as it strikes her crumpled body 10 feet before the cart. She is not moving in the dirt of the road. The Ogre continues pulling the cart forward. GM The second goblin currently on the cart runs up the rope to the ogre's head. He is screaming in the ogre's ear to pay attention to the plan as he tosses a jar at Hraken. The Ogre nods and the jar goes long crashing inside the window and into the tavern. GM The next goblin turns back from his path around the dry goods store and tosses another jar at Hraken. (OC a 6 then a 5 wow) The jar falls short dropping in the street and igniting. PCish "This is a little too fatal for me," Chetum sees Keiale fall and decides dying is a bad idea the halfling heads away from the action. (OC failed morale) GM The goblin is behind the tavern doing something. GM This goblin is returning to the wagon to get more jars. PCish Keiale lays in the dirt and does not die. other- Goblins are heading around the town and two crawl back onto the wagon. Hraken starts to wonder if Chetum has the right idea. Next round.
