The area around the Chatren and Sons Inn is away from the center of the festivities. All of the buildings have doors and windows opened wide to allow what breeze can be found.
2) Antler and Thistle Tavern – Ologold Trannyth built the Antler and Thistle from the ashes of another tavern that was destroyed in the first Red Hand invasion. 2a) Chatren and Sons Inn – Next door to Antler and Thistle – Chatren and his 2 sons worked in tandem with Ologold to build this inn next door. 2b) Alchemy by Adronsius – Catty-corner to Antler and Thistle – Content Not Found: Adronsius and his wife run this alchemy shop. 2c) Staghunter Outfitters – Across from Chatren and Sons – Seaben and Thoamros Staghunter opened clothing and shoe shops next door to one another. Their prices are reasonable and they have clothing for all climates
The Tavern has round tables for the playing of cards, rectangle longer table for larger groups of celebrants, a number of knife boards set to the side for friendly wagers, and a large stone hearth in the center that is currently just holding a large black pot of stew in the middle of the fireplace with a low fire to keep it warm without overheating the already warm room. Over the mantle hangs a large banner displaying the Red Hand of Doom a trophy from their defeat 10 years ago. The smell of the stew overcomes the smell of sweat and some unwashed workers that have come in to play some cards after being given a half day to enjoy the celebration. Others are cheering on a kinsman (halfling) who is currently beating other patrons at knife throwing using only his toes. At another table patron line up to arm-wrestle a burly woman who does not look fully human.

OC: What can you do at the Chatren and Sons Inn Get some stew and a brew from the Tavern (3 coppers for each, 5 for both). You must buy something to sit at the tavern.
Arm wrestle Big Keiale. ( Insight DC 15 to not be intimidated by her boasts, if fail you have a disadvantage on the athletics roll. Arm Wrestling contest Athletics DC 19 to beat Keiale.) The bet is normally 5gp to compete against Keiale.
Knife Throw vs. Chetum 4 blades. (Throw three ranged light rolls and add up the three results. If roll a natural 20 multiply the result of that roll by 2. Must beat a score of 45 to win against Chetum.) Normal bet is 5 to 10 gp to compete in the knife toss.
Play cards. 1gp ante with a pot of 5gp normally per hand. Roll either perception (count the cards), deception (Bluff your opponents), sleight of hand (cheat don't get caught), or insight (figure out if other players are bluffing) at a DC 15. During the game you could probe for some gossip around town.
Shop at the stores.

OOC: Before I post what my character is doing, I'm confused on the Antler and Thistle Tavern... Has it been torn down a second time and rebuilt? or is still torn down from the "newest hobgoblin attacks" or is that a future event? Sorry for the confusion.

The Antler and Thisle is alive the third time is the charm and it stands. It is where they are drinking, eating stew, throwing knives, playing cards, arm wrestling and basically staying away from the festivities.

Hraken doesn’t normally come into the town, but on the few occasions that he does, he always visits the Antler and Thistle Tavern. Ologold Trannyth, the owner, is one of the few that tolerate his presence. Hraken has earned a reputation as a goblin hunter, and since the tavern is a regular target of hobgoblin invasions, Ologold welcomes the black panther whenever he comes in. Hraken is often able to pick up new leads on goblin-wherabouts from the patrons.
As he enters, Hraken sees there is significantly more activity than normal and scoots to a dark table in the corner where he can remain relatively undisturbed. Hraken doesn’t normally like crowds, but he was encouraged to come to the Diamond Day Festival by one of the few that he considers a friend, the elven wizard Paelias. Paelias had known that it was during the Battle of Brindol that Hraken was freed from his slavery the the hobgoblin army of Azor Khul, and thought he should not miss the opportunity to learn more about his day of deliverance.
Perhaps he was right. Pelias was off in the Hall of Valor, but Hraken felt more at home away from the crowds. Besides, he was more interested in finding new goblin heads to roll than gawking over a few dusty trinkets from days long past. Most of the regulars of the tavern knew his reputation, if there was anybody that could offer him a new hunt, he knew they would come to him. There were a lot of new faces here to day though. If nobody came to him with any information soon, he might have to do a little asking around, but for now he would wait.

Hraken enters the open doors of the Antler and Thistle and recieves a nod of greeting from a busy Ologold. As he moves to the bar he finds a mix of smells from the normal smells of the stew, old beer soaked into the wood floors, sawdust, Keiale's oder of human and orc. Some patrons are not familiar scents at all. Some heavily perfumed halflings sit at a back table. There are many halfling entertainers in for the festival and this particular trio of robed patrons cause his nose to run their scent is so strong. He has a vision in his mind of grabbing the three of them rolling them out of their cloaks and into one of the rain barrels outside. He holds the beer Ologold slides to him close to his nose to try and lessen the smell.

Hraken slips a hand into his pocket as he peers at the robed figures over his mug. What is it about them? he wonders, trying to resist the urge to pounce across the room at them. "What can you tell me about those three?" He asks Ologold, taking a sip of his beer to hide the movement of his lips.
Mechanics: Insight check on each of the robed figures, attempting to learn what I can from their activities. rolled 15. Edit: if you need a different roll for each, my other 2 rolls were 14 and 8.

"Newbies to Brindol, I think they are some of those halfling entertainers. They paid for the drinks with some old coppers stamped with the southern empires first emperor on them. Their also not drinking enough to keep that table occupied for so long. Soon I'm gonna ask my boys to have them order another round or hit the road." Ologold rubs the bartop as he talks.
Hraken looks over at the robed figure. One reaches a hand out of his robe and you see he has mittens on. He spies a chin in the darkness of the robes and it is a pale flesh tone wet with sweat.
"Hraken are you gonna give me a challenge here?" Keiale calls across the tavern. She is leaning back in her chair running her hands through her greasy matted hair and attempting to flex her thick arms. "I've been looking to wrestle you for a while."
"What out Hraken I don't think she means arm wrestle.. ooorrfff." Keiale's arm jerks sideways her elbow catching the calling laborer Hraken knows as Jared in the groin. Jared drops to the sawdust scattered floorboards as the crowd roars.

The R are the robed drinkers, The R at the bar is Ologold. Chetum and a group are gathered at the table in front of the storerooms tossing at a wooden target on the wall north of the bar. Keiale is at a round table south of the fireplace with her group. Card players fill the other round tables.

Hraken chuckles quietly to himself. He likes Keiale. She is not so didn't from him: trapped between the worlds of men and monsters. Keiale however, though gruff, always seems full of life and joy. She gives him hope. Whenever he comes to town to collect on the bounty for goblins, she always reminds him he is not alone. She has been trying to break him or of his shell for months now; perhaps he will let her.
Hraken gets up and walks toward her. "Aha! It seems the pussy cat finally wants to come out and play!" She roars, drawing the attention of all those in the room.
"I can only handle so much of your squeaking!" Hraken growls as he dropped 5gp on the table, feeling somewhat vulnerable, not used to putting himself on display.
Though Hraken is strong, and they wrestled for several minutes, Keiale proved stronger. He wasn't concerned however, he gave her what she was loooking for, a contest.
Besides, he was somewhat distracted by the smell of the three halflings. It was a smell he thought he knew, but he had never smelled it on a halfling before.
Mechanics: 8 against intimidation. 17 on athletic wrestle with disadvantage. 23 for perception check in an attempt to identify the smell of the "halflings".

Under the perfume is a smell like a grease or paint of some type.
As his hand hits the table Keiale smiles and whoops. She pulls his arm and him closer over the table not letting go. She drops the pouch of gold on the table before him,"You can keep the gold honey. It was worth it to see the look on your face when I beat you." Her face is close as she says,"Let me tell you what I want you to do instead of the money." She leans into his ear and whispers,"The three small ones in the corner. Something is wrong with them I can feel it. Now look embarrassed as I let you go." She pulls back as the crowd hoots and hollers around them.
As you are wrestling a town guard, know as Golden Lions, strides through the open door. "Gillium, Dak, Darryl, and Dar you are supposed to be on reserve call."
Four soldiers attempt quick rising to attention and only half of them make it up without stumbling. "Yes, Sir! We where just parched sir."
"Your going to be more parched on the ride out to the Oswald Orchard. We have reports of a bush fire in the Orchard. Old man Oswald was the only one not in town and he swears he saw goblins in the Orchard with torches." The officer states,"So get a move on we are taking the reserves to put the fire out and route any goblins causing mischief."
The soldiers move out as Keiale stands,"That is our job boys. If the orchard burns down they are not likely to pay is to finish an irrigation ditch to dead trees. Let's go help put this fire out."
"But it's our day off," one follower whines.
"I haven't finished my stew."
"What if derr be goblins."
"We'll give the Golden Lions a head start then. Le them fight the little buggers then we will follow to fight the fire. We leave after the bells ring for the festival." Keiale gives in and returns to her seat.

Usually the first to volunteer to fight goblins, Hraken fought his urge to race out and hunt them down. It had been a long while since he spilled goblin blood and he could use the bounty, But he could not abandon his friends in the tavern; Keaile was right, something wasn't right with the robed men. What are they doing wearing robes and mittens in this heat, and why were they so intent on masking their scents. The mere thought of missing out on a goblin hunt made his blood boil, and then he had an idea.
Instead of feigning embarrassment at his defeat, partly because of his new plan and partly because of his own inner rage, he howled loudly: "I don't need your pity!" and jumped to his feet, tossing the table sending gold pieces flying at Keaile; "Keep your damn gold!" Then Hraken slung the chair he was sitting on into the fire. The flames jumped, licking at their new-found fuel. All the patrons looked at him in disgust, groaning to themselves. Ologold gave him a look of both dismay and confusion, as did Keaile. Hraken pushed past her though and made for the far corner of the room; as far away from Keaile as he could get... to the table right next to the robed figures. As he passed Chetum's table he scooped up a dagger and hurled it angrily across the room at the wooden target close the to bar. Through the growing flames of the fire, he could see the slightest grin on Keaile's face.
When he brushed past Keaile, he moved close enough to whisper into her ear:
"Let's make them sweat then."
Mechanics: 1 ranged throw at the target with dagger. I'm not sure exactly how to roll for that, so I'll let you do it. My goal is to impress him, or otherwise encourage him to come over to my table.
Other: I plan on making another smell check against the robed figures, maybe against their sweat, but only after the room gets significantly warmer. Feel free to roll that for me if you choose, or I will do it in a few posts.
Another hope is that it will get too hot, perhaps forcing some action on the part of the three figures.

Hraken sulks over and slams down into the seat at the table next to the robed figures. He notes they pull their robes tighter.
The men playing cards at the table barely notice his arrival and just keep playing.
Hraken notes that the chin of the halfling is sweating with streaks of green where the sweat runs. The lower run of his hood has small drops of what looks like pale paint on the edge.
Keaile stands and makes a swerving wobbly path across the room. Hraken has never known the big woman to get drunk. He did not even think the tavern held enough drink to get her drunk. "It my little pussy cat grumpy." She grabs another patrons mug off the table. "Heresss letsss mess get youzz a drinkie." She stands before Hraken and pretends to toss the drink at him instead splattering the robed figures at the next table.
The beer splatters as they jump the table top at Hraken and Keaile.
OC: Your not surprised roll for initiative.

Goblins? Hraken thought as he noticed the green skin beneath the dripping paint. Could they be goblins? With their hoods pulled tight covering their features, and the strong sent of perfume and paint blocking their scent, he could not be sure. Since when do goblins become so bold as to disguise themselves and hide among so many enemies? It didn't matter now, there was a battle at hand, and this was Hraken relished most.
Hrakens muscles tense with anticipation; He would not need his crossbow or javelins, he would fare much better in these close quarters with his natural weapons. Having been infected by lycanthopy as a boy, and forced to endure countless transformations during his decades slavery to the hobgoblin tribes of Wyrmsmoke, he soon became more beast than man. Being trapped in his hybrid panther form, however, came certain benefits he could not deny, sharp claws and teeth not being the least of them.
The robed figures, sensing the hostility from Kaiele and Hraken, had jumped to the ready. They would get the first move, but Hraken was confident he would get the last.
Mechanics: rolled 9 INT initiative against their 13 INT and Kaiele's 8 INT(as you said in PM)
