"Probably not gonna have a lot of luck tracking a flying ogre. I mean, I'm no track-ologist, but..." Izzy shrugs. "It just seems like it might be kinda difficult."

Fargrim sees the knight from the temple talk about the goblins motives and remembers something he heard. He approaches and says "Glad to see you all alive. This was clearly not a gratuitous attack. At the gate towers I overheard a goblin say 'Sinruth has everything he needs to make us whole again'. Or at least that was what I could make out. Does that mean anything to anybody?"

"Dunno, never heard of him. Hey, did you see who it was that the ogre took off with? That might be kinda important. This whole deal seemed more organized than gobs are usually prone to be."

[to Malik:] "Hey, you and me both. You buying? ...yeah, the ogre had one-a those flying potions like the shaman had. Did him better than it did her, though."

The battle ended, Hraken spends the next few minutes searching the battlefield for lost crossbow bolts and searching the goblin's for any "prizes." What were the goblin's doing in town again? he wondered. Once done with his search he returns to his new friends, Malik and Oloric. Arms crossed, he remains silent, though he offers a slight nod towards Oloric.

The captain sees Hraken step out of the darkness. "I knew with goblins to slay I would find my friend." He graps Hraken arm. "I must see to the fires and the people but in the morn if your friends could meet at Brindol Keep I will bring the towns thanks and would have words on what transpired this night. This was no simple goblin raid. Whoever planned this found it worth sacraficing an entire tribe of goblin women for."

Oloric will try to get to know the rest of the new heroes assuming they are willing to share info. He will ask about blackarrow and otherwise will plan to meet tomorrow.
He also searched corpses for anything of use. Anything else needing done beforehand? Otherwise ready.
Malik will offer the first drink but otherwise will not stay with anybody long leaving with a " I've satiated one vice today and that's enough."
Otherwise also ready

Paelias says: "They were after the old magic user and historian who knew everything about the battle of Brindol, which occurred a decade ago. They took him and abducted him, I think. The goblins who escaped to the south also took the tribe's heraldric signs with them, which were on display in the Hall of Great Valor, as well as some other legendary items of the battle of Brindol. So I think they're about to do something evil involving the foul monsters which fought at the battle of Brindol, a decade ago." Paelias searches for any scrolls or spellbooks which may have been left behind by the shaman.
OOC: as we're now level 2, do we roll for second level hitpoints? Or do we get max hitpoints? I haven't rolled yet. Hitpoints healed after the short rest: d6 rolled = 4. Pealias is now at 7 hp. Pealias can select 2 new spells for his spellbook at level 2. He gets them only after a long rest, right? (Wizards are supposed to be versatile with many spells in their spellbooks, that's why Paelias is always looking for scrolls or spellbooks).

"One of them had tried to take the old banner at the inn. She was screaming about reclaiming honor for their tribe, before I snapped her neck." Hraken said, stepping forward.

"So, they didn't get everything they were after, then? The banner at the inn's still there?" Izzy waves Almok and Wordwise over to the gathering crew. "Hey folks, this is Firebug and his horse. Perhaps we should bring this over to the inn, since we're getting free rooms and all. We can probably swing some free drinks, too!"

"If it didn't burn up in the fire, I suspect it's still there." Hraken replies to the rogue.

Blackarrow clasps both mens' forearms in return "You have my thanks. Be careful out there, the Lions need more of your sort." and he then vanishes into the alleyways and rooftops.
As he moves through the city back to his residence, he thinks Something about this attack doesn't make sense. I may be mistaken, but I've never heard of a gender-exclusive goblin raiding party before, especially not exclusively female. If only I could go back to the gate...well, that may not be safe, but I could go back to the Hall if I play my cards right. That may have been their main target.
Blackarrow then drops off his bow, quiver, cloak, and mask, as well as shifting around placement of his belts, sheathes, etc., so that he can move throughout the city incognito. With the guards busy with other problems, they shouldn't notice another nondescript traveler in town for the festivities as he casually makes his way back to the ruins of the Hall of Valor.
OOC: If an Investigation roll's needed to search the area, he'll take 20 (he has all night). Findings of interest would be goblin ages (are they desperate enough to send youths and elderly, or only goblins in their prime?), potential clan identifiers (is this an alliance of clans, or entirely one group?), and anything particularly distinctive they've left behind. It's probably a longshot, but if he could find any tracks leftover from the goblins who fled southward, he'll see if he can at least find out how they got out of the city, considering that there wasn't news of the South Gate being attacked. Although, that'll probably be a Nature or Survival check after he initially finds the tracks, so I'll roll for that if it comes up.

Blackarrow- The noble walks through scenes of citizens gather loved ones living and dead, fighting fires, and digging people out of rubble. Arriving at the Hall of Great Valor he finds a group of citizens are helping a few Golden Lions line up the dead citizens and pile up the goblin bodies. This area and the gatehouse have the largest number of goblin dead. Looking at one goblin to another he sees they are all female and all past their prime. Each is wrinkled and weathered tough old goblin females. They look to be various tribes of the Elsir Valley. All are tribes that fought under the Red Hand of Doom a decade ago. He finds tracks from the Hall to the south gate and finds the south gate was attacked and held open by a ogre and a goblin crew until the group from the hall escaped.
The back room of the Hall was blown open and looks to have had shelves after shelves that lined the walls. Broken pottery jars are in the rubble as are broken containers of glass. As Blackarrow looks it over a Golden Lion moves over to him.
"The Lord Warden asks that citizens stay out of the Hall until the investigation is complete." He waves a tired hand at Blackarrow."If you would sir."
