For the brief moment before the shroud of darkness blocks his line of sight, Blackarrow fires a shot at a battling goblin. The arrow flies true, and it pesters the goblin as the horse's path is mostly hidden by shroud. "With any luck, that shroud disguised our position, so secrecy is still ours."
He then reholsters his bow and refocuses on guiding the horse. He didn't want to admit it, but that was a lucky shot, and one he wasn't confident he could replicate.
Ride Check: 19, so hopefully steering with his knees is working for 60 more feet. Attack Check (Disadvantage): Lower is 17. Damage is 7.

When Paelias enters the square, he immediately takes cover behind one of the market stalls.
OOC: enter at BB 49 and hide at the same round (round 3). Stealth roll 10+2 = 12.

Hraken, using his night-vision, can easily see to goblins and rats fighting against the golden lions. They is at the limits of his crossbow range, but they seem to be losing so he takes a shot anyway, sending arching down the road (11/24 disadvantage) to land in the dirt at the goblin's feet. Never stopping his charge, he moves down the road to close some of the distance. (1 or 2 spaces north)
OOC: Not to be nit-picky, but Blackarrow, I don't see how you could possibly have shot at the shaman from your position on the map. It is within your long-range to be sure, but there are about 5 tents, some goblins, a large tree, and an ogre between you and the shaman. I feel like if you had wanted to shoot from that far away, you should have stayed on the road instead of moving into the market on your last turn.
Again, I'm not trying to be nit-picky, I don't want to feel like we are taking too many liberties with our actions, and make the fight too easy.

OOC: Yeah, I honestly hadn't planned to take the shot, but in the action recap the GM mentioned that Blackarrow was readying the bow for a shot, so I figured that meant that there was some open line of sight that I wasn't seeing. If I misunderstood that intention though, I'm fine with having the shot target some opponent that's a clearer shot, or even taking the Dash action instead to bring the horse closer to the towers. Whatever everyone thinks is more reasonable.
EDIT: Just wanted to give the heads up here that I switched it over to another available goblin, so it looks like that shaman's still around. Sorry about that!

He can shoot at a goblin in combat with the female token unit of golden lions and take out one of them as his horse passes between the tents and stalls. The Shaman is never in a line of sight anywhere in the route. It is of course a shot with disadvantage.

Hraken- Closing in the darkness the battle takes no note of him. Hraken rushes forward arches upright and fires into the darkness missing goblin, rat, and soldier. Alys- Spurs her horse forward and it responds she charges calling to her god a massive flail forms and smashes into the Ogre on the right then swings back striking him again. (Spirit Hammer) The Goblin Shaman calls and a group of batwinged spirits swirl around her creating a barrier guarding her from attackers. (Spirit guardian) Fargrim and Blackarrow ride between stalls and tents some burning as they pass moving north. Blackarrow waits for the horse to pass between stalls and tents looking for an opening. He fires barely seeing if his arrow struck or not as the mount continues forward. Fargrim has his crossbow ready and fires as Blackarrow does hoping to hit goblin and not soldier. (disadvantage 15 and a 20 rolled) He strikes true on a goblin. Two goblins suddenly fall with arrow and bolt coming from the unknown assailants causes the 14 goblins remaining to break ranks and begin looking for the attackers. This break gives the Captain and her 7 remaining soldiers the advantage and they take down 3 more goblins. The rats still claw and bite and one soldier falls beneath goblin blades and rat bites. In the darkness 6 soldiers are back to back trying to keep the goblins and rats away. The 12 goblins and rats loose only one as they drop half of the soldiers. The mounted golden lions on the bridge split to one side of the wagon and trample Goblins before them. Their leader the Paladin Captain Derrius charged the other side alone his warhorse crushing the goblins as his greatsword strikes again and again. The goblins on both sides break and run before the onslaught racing back to the gatehouse. On the towers Goblins taunt and fire on the charging lions on the bridge. They begin to sing raising the spirits of the goblins and causing the goblins on the bridge to gather again and fight. "We burnt this city, We burnt this city down to the ground We burnt this city, We burnt this city down to the ground Say you don't remember, or recognize this place Say you don't know what happened to your favorite mace Knee deep in the ashes, smoking in the night Only two hours left, until morning's light Manrend plays the banjo, Listen to the songs he sings Don't you remember? We burnt this city, We burnt this city down to the ground!"The first ogre assailed by the spirit flail swings his boulder in his hand at the flail trying to grab and crush it between the rocks. His attack passes harmlessly through the spirit weapon. (ogres are dumb) The second ogre tosses his stone at Alys and her mount. The stone strikes her mount across the legs crushing them. Alys goes head over heals over the front of her mount, scraps and bounces along the ground and lands prone before the ogres. Malik and Oloric ride forward and catch up to the Hraken as he stop to fire his crossbow. round three: The not exhausted Paelius arrives. Wordwise, Fiery, Izzy and their militia continue forward. Fiery looks down from his post on Wordwise's shoulder. "Well I did give him a little extra umph to his mojo." Izzy notes that Fiery's hair is messy again but the long mane like scales that flow behind the dragonborn look extra thick and shiny. "I was actually hoping it would give him hair." Attachments:

Round 3: Malik urges the horse forward using the Dash action to move 120'. His eyes blazing with hatred for the goblin scum.
Oloric shoots a bolt of fire as a goblin finally is in range of his spells (15 total attack for 9 damage). He states " Just get me close enough to hit the ogres and drop me off. They are our deaths if not removed. We can use the horse for cover from archers! "
Knowing all too well the trouble ogres can cause, Malik agrees "I'll get you close enough golden man but I'll need the horse."

OOC: Paelias enters on the south side at Z 49 and dashes forward (60') to Z 46 ?? If every square is 20 x 20', then 3 squares is 60'. But if the numbers represent 10' increments, then he gets to Z 43.

Not wanting to waste another arrow, Hraken races as fast as he can toward the battle, and toward Alys.
OOC: I'll take the dash action, but hopefully remain hidden as well? Just have me move as far as I can without being seen.
Blackarrow, I'll admit, I didn't catch that part where the admin mentioned you readying your bow.
Admin, is there something else we can call besides admin? lol. Is your name Stephen?

OOC: Stephen, Dm, Artteach (I each art among other courses. I have taught 5th grade, art, PE, specialized reading, and math over the past 25 years. So technically I could be gymteach, mathteach, or just teach), currently my best description would be stunned and disappointed Bears Fan. I'm looking for my paper bag to wear over my head out of shame.

OOC: Paelias, I'm thinking 10 feet squares? Blackarrow and I dashed twice and moved about 12 squares. Disappointed Bears Fan could confirm, though.
Fargrim says "We're getting the goblins' attention, Blackarrow, but the singing is keeping them from breaking. I think we should stick to your idea and make it to the gates posthaste, but if we can keep our distance and lure some of them greens into the tents in the process... we can give our allies an advantage."
Fargrim doubts he'll hit another lucky bolt, so instead he cups his hands around his mouth and, with a bit of magic, begins to sing the first song that comes to his mind as loudly as he can, his voice booming three times as loud (OOC: using Thaumaturgy cantrip). It's a particularly raunchy song about a womazining goblin slayer. Fargrim doesn't sing very well (but hopefully an improvement over the goblin song).

Hraken- Hraken races on all fours 80 feet in the darkness he is still not noticed by the enemy. Alys- Alys charges between the ogres and calls to her god the Shaman spirits disappear. Her spirit hammer continues to pound the Ogre. (Spirit Hammer) The Goblin Shaman is shocked as her protection drops and she calls a curse causing Alys to be wracked with pain. Fargrim and Blackarrow ride between stalls and tents some burning as they pass moving north. Fargrim calls a loud and lusty tavern song projecting it over the songs of the goblins. Blackarrow fires missing the goblins as they flicker in out of sight from the ride through the tents. 11 goblins refocus on the Captain and her men they down 1 more but damage all of them. The Captain and her 6 remaining soldiers take down just 1 goblins. They work to keep the rats from eating their fallen. The rats still claw and bite on living and dead soldiers. In the darkness 3 soldiers still stand. The 6 goblins and rats stay to finish them off as 5 goblin race into the marketplace looking for the singer of the lusty tale. Another soldier drops leaving just 2. The mounted golden lions on the bridge race past the Goblins leaving them for the next wave of soldier who fire a flurry of arrows at the group. The Paladin Captain Derrius keeps the goblins attention on his side leaving the group of mounted soldiers to continue to the gatehouse. On the towers Goblins stop singing and the east tower continues to fire on the charging lions. The west tower moves south and is looking for the source of the song. They fire into the general area and arrows fall around Blackarrow and Fargrim on horseback. The first ogre continues to attack the spirit weapon. (ogres are dumb) The second ogre moves on Alys smashing her with his club. The cleric drops to the earth her spirit hammer disappears. Malik and Oloric ride forward Malik drops Oloric behind Alys dead horse. The sorcerer takes a shot at a goblin and downs the creature taking the number attacking the female captain down to 9. Paelius arrives and moves forward through the stalls of the market. Round four Wordwise, Fiery, Izzy and their militia continue forward. Attachments:

Paelias moves forward and left in a dash, staying among the market stalls, but ending at a point where he has a clear view of an ogre or a goblin, if that's possible.

Hraken, not taking his eyes of the battle continues to race forward in a rage as he sees Alys fall.
OOC: continue dash. For reference, I want to be within throwing distance of an ogre, and throw a goblin-spit jar at it. How close do I have to be for that? Would the jar splash onto Alys? When I am in range, would I be able to throw it at the one that was being attacked by the spirit hammer to avoid splash-damage?
