...y'know, when I left, like, five minutes ago, this seemed like it was under control.

Seeing the goblins at his city gates sends Hraken into a frenzy! He dashes as fast as he down the side of the main road, trying to get within range of his crossbow.
OOC: Since it is so far I'll just continue to use my dash command until I'm within crossbow range of one of the ogres, I think that's about 15 squares or 300ft but correct me if I'm wrong. Just let me know what round I'll be in range.

OOC: Paelias arrives at the south side of the map at round 3. He's not exhausted. Exhaustion roll: 10 + 2 con = 12.

OOC: Can you clarify,? These are riding horses right? Not warhorses?
So they get 60' movement

A riding horse moves 60 feet, you can of course do dash with them (which I am assuming you are for 120 feet of movement in 6 seconds). If you use your riding skill you may get them to move faster. Of course, If you don't have riding skill you could push them too hard and exhaust them. Quarterhorses have been clocked at 40 to 50 mph for short burst so they can go faster than 120' in 6 seconds. You are moving about 700 feet to get from the temple to the marketplace. They do need to weave through buildings and such so it is not a straight sprint for them. Hraken is a panther and can drop to four on the floor and move at panther speeds. So once on the map you can ride 6 squares a round.

Izzy- The ogres tossed the goblins onto the outer gatehouse and they opened the gates then they fought down the bridge and opened the inner gate just a couple of minutes ago. Half of the Golden Lions where out at the orchard fighting hobgoblins. A quarter are too drunk to fight from the festival, and the rest are rushing around from fire to fire.

Can't leave them kids alone for a second, can I. Well, Izzy choogles on back up the road to the marketplace, I guess.
[So, we're leaving that other batch of gobs that headed south to their own devices? Dang, how many emergency-type situations have we got going here?]

OOC: Ok so I'm assuming we're just good on the order and i'll wait til "Round 2". The plan for that round is to dash forward on the horse still. Animal handling = 16 to try to move as fast as possible.
I'll just assume we worry about movement and thus starting now and not getting here. So once others have posted just assume we're dashing on Round 2.

OOC: How tall are those towers?
Blackarrow surveys the scene ahead of him, noting the Ogres, the rats, and, most importantly, the goblin archers. He comments to Fargrim "The battle cannot be won while the goblins control the gatehouse. If we can use the chaos of battle to our advantage, we may be able to move past the Ogres and take the fight to the snipers in the towers. They'll lose their advantage and their escape route. Still, if you see a greater threat, I will divert our course to meet it."
OOC: Unless somebody tells him to do otherwise, Blackarrow will maneuver the horse between the huts and the fiery huts in an attempt to stay relatively hidden. Since we're far away, it should be safe to Dash with the horse as well.

The towers are 30 ft tall, if I remember right. Arrow slits on the outside facing walls, windows on the inside wall facing the town. Also, I think their escape route's already blocked; there's a mess of Golden Lions heading across the bridge from the far side. I think the main worry at this point is them rolling over the handful of guards in front of them and then tooling through the town.

Fargrim lifs his crossbow, trying to keep his aim steady on the moving horse. If they're seen and attacked, Fargrim will shoot. "You're right, the close quarters will help us even out the odds. Out here we are outnumbered and likely to be overwhelmed. You really think you can get us close?"
OOC: Are the towers independent or connected somehow? Can we see the entrance(s)?

OOC: The towers are 30 feet, the wall to the gate is 25 feet tall. The gate is a metal portcullis that is pinned opened by the dead ogre body. Hraken- rushes forward and his crossbow targets would be rats and goblins enaged in meleee with the Golden Lions. Closing in the darkness the battle takes no note of him. Alys- Is charging the middle of the road the cobblestones sounding with her horses hoofs and her call to her god for protection. A golden glow outlines her frame. The Goblin Shaman begins her own screeches to the gods of the goblinkin and fires a bolt of blackness at the unit of Golden Lions. The unit (male golden lion) is shrouded in darkness but Hraken can hear their screams and smell fresh blood spilling. Fargrim and Blackarrow ride between stalls and tents some burning as they pass moving north. Blackarrow steers the beast with his knees readying his bow. Fargrim begins to sneeze and his eyes water. The natural dwarven allergy to the mount affecting him. OOC: Dwarves use battle wagons in combat and travel because horses make them sneeze. The Goblin and rats are at a stalemate with the unit lead by Captain Leia (girl golden lion token). The other unit is covered in a darkness and sounds to be losing. The goblins on the towers are hitting as many goblins as golden lions and are now turning to the north to fire on the Lions coming down the bridge. The golden Lions on the bridge are moving toward the gatehouse but 2 units of goblins have moved to the spaces on either side of the burning wagon. The ogres are unable to find an opening to club the lions and the shaman barks orders to them. Both of them pick up large pieces of rubble and take aim at the attractive cleric messenger rushing down the lane at them. Round 2- Malik and Oloric arrive at bottom of the map (you choose where on the bottom). Wordwise sees villagers huddling and hiding. He stops works to catch his breath and calls out,"You hide and wait for you town to burn around you. You hide and quiver hoping the goblins do not find you. Did you people hide when the Red Hand stormed your town a ten year ago. No, you stood strong. Those to built the Hall of Great Valor would be ashamed of you. Those who lay in the graveyards are being mocked by Grithstane god of the underworld for the meekness of their kin. Get up and fight! Fight the flames, fight the goblins, fight the fear, FIGHT! Do not cower and die like rats. Stand like men and fight. Men and women come forward. Some join the fire brigades, a score of them fall in behind Worwise and Fiery. Izzy catches up to them as they continue on with there makeshift army behind. (OOC Wordwise will arrive on round six but he is bringing friends) Attachments:

OOC: Just put me on the right side of the main road around R,S,T ish. Malik will be urging the horse in a similar path to Alys and Hraken but on the right of the road instead of the middle. So on Round 2 Malik and Oloric are basically at the bottom correct or do they start at the bottom and have actions on round 2?
Either way if there's action on Round 2 it's a Dash towards the lower right goblin/rat/golden lions. If it's just arriving on Round 2 then that's the action for Round 3 (6 on Riding check)

They have the action and will dash 6 squares normally.

As he's jogging alongside Firey, Izzy leans over and says "Hey, your boy's pretty good at that schtick, isn't he?"
Then he starts pointing out handy rubble and pointed sticks and loose weapons for the mob to strap up with along the way. [There's gotta be a fair amount of that sort of thing laying around here.]
