Malik, seeing Oloric fumble with the horse jumps on and decides he better lead it to the destination. Hoping his non martial skills may be of use

Fargrim reluctantly agrees with Paelias' reasoning and climbs onto the horse: "We'll meet you again later, master elf. May Duin watch over you!"

Fargrim and Malik- The Acolyte looks to Fargrim,"Battle is not my way. It is yours though and was the High priests," She passes the mace to Fargrim. "Use this on any goblin you find." (+1 Mace)
She looks to the Paladin and hands him another vial,"Take this, I have more in the clerics private stock to use for emergencies. Today would be an emergency." (second healing potion)
Izzy- The chest looks perfectly safe. Fiery is looking around the area as he watches the door. Opening the heavy chest he finds bank bonds for the church and bags of various coins. 100gp, 234sp, 2,422cp. It would be a about 50 pounds of coinage to carry around. There is also a ornate ring with a small spider engraved on it.
Fiery has placed the hairpiece over his hair. The piece molds to his skull and replicates his hair but looks perfectly styled. Izzy notes that Fiery looks more confident, commanding, charismatic, maybe even a little taller than he did before. (hairpiece of charisma +1 to charisma checks)
OOC: SO Oloric and Malik on one and Blackarrow and Fargrim on the other. Paelias follows on foot and probably passes the weezing dragonborn bard pretty soon.
Izzy stays and steals from a dead cleric in his own church (I believe that puts you in the special hell with child molesters and people who talk at the theater.)

Malik takes a swig of the potion and urges the horse forward with a "Heeyah". He remarks "These potions just don't pack a lot of bang!" (OOC: Heals 5 again so i'm at least useful-ish but can't roll for crap).
"Go, Go, Go" Oloric urges wanting to catch up to the beautiful female rider.
Off as fast as the horse will take them.

(Hey, it ain't like I was going to the good place anyway! And if homeboy had had the sense the gods gave a kobold, he'da kept himself and the acolytes inside the church and ambushed the gobs as they came through the door.)
All right, so Izzy skims half the gold [50 gp] and silver [100 sp], and the ring, and two of the vials. Then he closes and locks the chest, and the hidden compartment, and the cabinet, and then looks over at Almok. "Suits you, firebug. Divvy up on the roof; this place is starting to smell like incoming civilians." And then he heads for the ladder to the tower.

Izzy- As they climb the ladder he hears the acolyte returning to the back rooms. On the roof Firey looks to Izzy. He has his bag open and a look that says,"Please sir may I have some gold please."

Izzy splits the gold and silver with Firey [25 gold, 50 silver] and says, "There you go; don't spend it all in one place! ...or, y'know, go right ahead. What do I care?" Then he looks out over the town, down toward the street to the south and says, "Hey, isn't that your horse wheezing off into the night?"

"Yes it is," He begins to jump, flip, crawl, and basically halfling down the side of the temple,"Hey, Wordweeze wait for me."

Paelias hustles as fast as he can after the others.
OOC: I made 4 athletics checks to see if Paelias can move faster than normal: results: 4 - 19 - 9 - 14. I assume he can move at least 60 feet per round with the dash action. So this is for extra movement on top of that, during the first 4 rounds he's moving towards the Western gates.

OK, so the party (in all senses of the word) seems to be moving westward, to the gates? Well, this has all worked out pretty well for Issarion so far, so he'll tag along. [Athletics roll total: 22 to climb down the tower wall, and then another at ...ugh 5, to try and catch up with the rest of the do-gooders. Yeah, that'll help. How far away is that whole shebang? Any loose horse action going on around here?]

Izzy- roll perception (DC13) or investigation (DC10) to find a horse tied up or wandering nearby.
Did Izzy try on the ring or just put it away?

He'll try the ring on later, when there's less going on. He figures that if somebody recognizes it then, he can always claim to have taken it off a goblin. As for the Search For Horsey, well, I don't think my [Perception roll total: 6! Six, can you believe that? What're you doin' to me, dice?] is really gonna help much, so it looks like it's "shank's mare" for Izzy for now.

After Fargrim mounts the horse, Blackarrow lets out a loud "Hyah!" and urges the horse to charge forward at a full gallop. The roads near the Cathedral Square are a winding, indirect path to the gate, so he'll cut through the grass by the remains of the Hall in order to have a shorter path.
Ride Check: 18.

Arrival times after 2 rounds of travel. round one- Hraken, Fargrim, Blackarrow, Alys round two- Malik and Oloric round three- Paelius (will be exhaustion level 1 (DC10) endurance check or short rest to reduce exhaustion. round four- no one round five- Wordwise and Fiery round six- Izzy The marketplace is in shambles. The east bridge is aflame and looks partially collapsed. The west bridge gatehouse has been overrun by goblins. A dead ogre lays under the gate his body holding it from being fully closed. The towers have goblins on top firing down at golden lions below. Two ogres stand in the midst of the battle at the gates their clubs swinging wildly as Golden Lion archers fire upon them. There are 2 groups of lions left. Each group has a line of 4 soldiers standing their ground to protect the archer behind them. Swarms of rats have gathered drawn by a goblin shaman-witch are flanking and harassing the archers from behind. On the north side of the bridge units of Golden Lions have returned from the Orchard and are working their way down the bridge. You will arrive on the south edge of the map. The squares on the map are 20 feet and the tokens represent larger numbers of goblins and soldiers except for the Ogres that are just one ogre each. Attachments:
