Crew present: Captain Kaiya Admetrium, Commander Noel Ciro, Lt Carne Lopak, Ensign Stev, Ensign Sivu, Boom, Gammer, Sgt Sasha, Sgt Analia, Private Makio, Dr. Sigurd, Samarion, Amura, PD-13, Commander Theta, Lt Jessa Dejas- Advisor
The briefing room is furnished for 10 members. The 16 crew meeting fill the seating and line the walls waiting for Kaiya's mission briefing. Most have already hypothesized it has something to do with the bombed out safe and computer equipment brought back from Domaz by the Field Op team. What they found has been kept under guard in the science labs with limited access.
Kaiya begins by placing a datapad on the table and starting an audiofile.
"Emergency. Emergency. This is Imperial science team MS-133 on Aaris III. We are under siege. Please, anybody respond. The enemy has destroyed our shuttle, and we have no way of leaving. Our groups is down to six personnel, with unknown forces picking us off one by one. Mayday! Can anyone hear us."
"That was three days ago."
"Urgent, urgent! Imperial science team MS-133 on Aaris III. We are besieged. Please, someone to answer. The enemy destroyed our shuttle and we have no way to leave. Mayday! Does anyone hear us? " "... does anyone receives us? Kolatill mission HQ, we need help. We are under attack and we can barely contain them. It's terrifying. They come at night. They take us down one after the other. Emergency, emergency! This is, Dr. Brunou, of Imperial science team MS-133 on Aaris III. We are no more than three. For pity's sake, answer Kolatill. The are only three left my assistant Solla and myself, Dr. Theda was injured and his days are numbered. Help us, please. Does someone recieve me? "
"This is received today from a secure Imperial Channel. It is being sent by the Imperial Science Team MS-133 operating on the planet Aariss III. We believe the science team has discovered key intelligence about DarkStryder technology. Aariss III is 16 hours away from our position but over 2 days from where we believe Sarne forces to be. We also know this is a focused transmission just to the mission HQ on Kolatill. So my hypothesis is that Sarne is not aware of the problems of the Aariss III mission and does not hve the ability to make it there before us. Your mission will be to rescue the MS-133 science team with emphasis on obtaining Dr. Brunou. Dr. Brunou is a high level researcher for Sarne who has been working at least 3 years on DarkStryder tech. We need him. The science team discovered an ancient ruin called the Place of Kastays. If we have the ability we need to investigate the ruins, retrieve any DarkStryder technology, find the Gate of Kastay in the ruins. The team can also be a source of Imperial Intelligence. We need to search both MS-133 sites on the planet to find any data.
They doctor reports all imperial troops are dead, but we are going with the assumption resistance still exists. They also report native organisms that are hostile. Finally we found this in the security camera data from the MS-133 Mission HQ on Kolatill."
Kaiya brings up a holovid of a hallway in the research building. A Verpine is seen walking the hallway with a group of large aliens following him.
"Wait that is that the nervous little ship captain with the piece of poodoo ship." Carne exclaims, "What in the world are those things following him?"
"That has been identified as Kyli Ned'lx the captain of the said hunk of junk that left Kolatill 20 hours ago. The aliens behind him are the Jarell a primitive race from Oon Tien who sell themselves as indentured servants to gain passage to the stars. We are not sure why he was at the research building but are assuming he knows about and has traveled to Aariss III. Lo'Khar has also informed me that Ned'lx is a agent of Veild-Danol of the Danol Trade Syndicate.
The Syndicate provided the weapons and support for the House Shador prison break at the Rockport Station and the Smelting Pits of Kolatill II. They have been our ally during this mission but tht does not mean I trust them." Kaiya continues,"Noel and Carne will arrive in system first and scout to make sure it is safe for the Aegis to drop in system. If it is hot at all Noel jump out and signal the Aegis to drop to realspace. The X-Wings will arrive 16 hours before the Aegis so use your best judgement on how to assist the MS-133 team without endangering yourself. When the Aegis arrives we will secure the science team and complete any mission objectives.
The Aegis is being prepped and you will be wheels up in 2 hours. Questions?"
