As the Aegis stabilizes, Stev makes his way towards the cockpit. From the look on his face, it's hard to tell if he's angry or amused, a confusion that he himself shares. "PD, there was no need to damage those K4s. With the ranks several of us hold, we could've just ordered those droids to stand down. However," he sighs "while I question your tact and whatever your equivalent of sanity is, I admit that you just showed off some impressive flying. Just, please, the next time you want to assault other members of the crew during a disagreement, please try to talk first."
He begins to head back to the passenger compartment, but he pauses to add "Oh, and once we're in hyperspace, I'd love to hear why this is the second time a squad of K4s has been sent to disable you. Solving that issue is probably in the best interest of the entire crew."

43:04:13 06:00 hours Ciro and Carne have been taking the slow road to Aaris III they send message to the Aegis to adjust its astrogation to jump beyond the effect of the Gas Giants and come in closer than they did dropping system. By the time the move in subspace across the system they will arrive at Aaris III just shortly before the shuttle. Passing by the Gas Giant of Aaris IV and V they note that the giants are moving to a closest passage they have in their orbits. In between the two giants is forming a gravitational disturbance. Running scans they see that the disturbance is pulling a massive amount of matter from each giant. Beyond the giants they find what scanner show to be a small asteroid field at first. As they close refined readings show the "asteriods" to be ships. Hundreds of capital level ships. None show power of life readings. Ciro and Carne wonder if they should investigate or continue to Aaris III? They have a long subspace trip (15 hours) and dropping to investigate will make it even longer. ------- PD13 receives the message from Ciro about the hyperspace effects of the gas giant and the coordinates of the jump point outside the effect. He runs the probabilities of staying the course or adjusting to Ciro's suggestions. OC- If PD13 is going to change the arrival point mid jump he needs a Astrogation vs. 3d check. If he stays the course they will be pulled out 32 hours in subspace from the planet Kotal III. If he adjust they will be 2 hours from the planet when they arrive. You also have 14 hours before you come out of jump.

"Carne, we need to make sure we have no more surprises for the Aegis. If they follow our transmission, they will come in close and avoid those dead ships," Noell calls over the com. "We need to complete the scans of Aaris III before the rest of rescue team arrives in system."
"Roger chief," Carne responds, "I will take point", Carne accelerates to front of the formation.
Turning over the comm channel to Hyperspace channel, "Farstar this Lt. Ciro. We have just past what looks like a ship graveyard in the outer orbit of Aaris. Please send some additional ships to check it out. We need to conitnue on to the Aaris III before the Aegis gets in system. Coordinates to follow," Turning to the x-wings internal comm channel, "Krayt, send the Farstar all scan details we've got so far"

43:04:13 23:00 Carne and Ciro spend the slow passage gathering whatever information their scans can pull in. They find the "graveyard" of ships are ships with early repulsorlifts, primitive ions drives, all the way to chemical thrusters and nuclear fission power plants. Krayt would approximate they are Old Republic or earlier by their technology. The ships configurations identifiy as Mandolorian designs, Kalvassian design, and some unidentifiable designs. Closing on the planet Ciro and Carne are able to make one mapping pass over the world. They find a hot wet world dominated by jungles and swamps. Their scans pick up many ruins of what was once a civilization that covered the planet. They also find remains of ships, walkers, speeders, fighters, tanks, artillery platforms dotting the planet. The yellow hexes with dots indicate areas with radioactive or hazardous wastes still dangerous after thousands of years. Two places show low levels of power. One is the MS-133 HQ which is still transmitting a signal to the orbital satellite and the other is the large ruins the team named the Place of Kastays. The Aegis drops in on the far side of the system from the gas giants and has traveled the way to Aariss III. It is coming into orbit as you finish the mapping.

Stev comms to the pilots "My thanks for the scans, if we flew into one of those radioactive areas, who knows how we could've been affected."
He then begins to issue orders. "Gammer, Analia, take positions at the two cannons in case things get hot fast. PD can man the autoblaster, and if anybody else has gunnery experience that I don't know about, feel free to take position at the missile launcher."
"Jessa, since Analia's at guns, I need you at copilot. This Aegis shouldn't handle too differently from the Lambdas you used to fly. Also, I want you up there to open up comms with the channel the messages came from. If we know where they are, this mission gets a lot easier. At the very least, try to access the local chrono so we know how long we have until nightfall, which is the most likely time for the next attacks."
"Everybody else, if we're going to pass off as Imperials, we'll need to look the part. There are supposed to be 40 suits of Imperial Armor on this ship, so if you can find a set that fits, it's yours. Everyone keep an eye out for especially large or small armor for Amura, Samarion, and Boom. This ship was outfitted by Imperials, not the GAR, so hopefully some of the sets will give us a little leeway from the standard clone physique."

PD13 over Comm: "Captain Kaiya; Aegis is in orbit around Aariss III waiting for the drop zone coordinates."
Thirteen says to Stev that it is illogical for him to try to talk it out with the K4's. They are programmed by the bully DD-19 to apprehend me and wipe my memory. They have been trying for many years but have only succeeded a few times.

With Kaiya light years away the drop coordinates decision comes down to the Mission Commander Stev. Theta looks over the scans of the area sent over from Carne and Ciro. "Top mission objective is rescue the Scientists at the mission HQ. We could split the group and drop teams at the shuttle crash and the Place of Kastays also which gives us the element of surprise or we could take one at a time with overwhelming force."
Analia comes forward,"I actually took a full inventory of every nook and cranny on this boat. We have 12 sets Spacetrooper armor for advanced zero G operations, 12 sets Battlement Power that Stev and trooper are suited up in armor, 16 sets Heavy Stormtrooper armor for anyone stormtrooper sized."
Red alerts sound on the X-Wings and the Aegis. The gas giants are flaring with a hyperspace storm. The effect is rapidly expanding and will reach Aaris III in 84 minutes.
"The two giants seems to be increasing the hyperspace disturbance exponentially." Jessa states from the sensor board."at this rate they are going to tear each other apart."
PD13 runs the simulation in his CPU and realizes the effect will damage ion drives, power plants, and hyperspace coils. He processes the time needed to reach the jump point and finds the Aegis can not make it in time. Running any possible scenario he finds that the planets magnetic and gravitational field would act as buffer greatly reducing the damage.
Kryat runs the same data on the X-Wing and finds the same conclusions. The X-Wings could run, but the Aegis has no escape but the planet below.

"Okay Stev, from what Krayt is sending me, you've got to land that ship quickly. Carne and I need to get clear, and we'll blow any chance of you coming off as Imperials. We'll be ready for an emergency evac."
Noell and Carne quickly accelerate to get clear of the the storm.

Carne and Ciro's X-Wings leave orbit and race to the jump point.
Kryat calculates a microjump that will put them beyond the effect. Once they jump out they will not be able to return until the effect is over in 2 days. PD13 believes the effect may cause the gas giants to rip each other apart leaving the cores, an asteroid field of debris, and nebula of matter. Once that has been achieved the hyperpspace disturbance should be gone.

"Thanks Ciro. Hopefully comms will stay operational, so I'll update you as much as I can."
Stev then sighs "This storm will complicate things. Jessa, we'll need the location of that team on the double."
"Everyone else, we'll want to keep as low-tech as possible. Estimates say the planet will 'greatly reduce' damage, but that definitely doesn't mean full protection. Powered armor of any sort could be as much harm as help out there, so until the storm passes us, I'd recommend the Heavy Stormtrooper armor. If none of the armor fits, well, start prepping bounty hunter backstories. The Empire's been known to hire bounty hunters of all species when they're shortstaffed, so that'll be our best cover story."
"Our drop point will depend on the comm. If we get a reply, then we know exactly where to go. If not...well, I'm open to suggestion for a drop point. I have a few ideas, but I've made enough decisions on my own. If we're going to be successful, we need to work together, and that means everyone gets their say."
What Stev doesn't mention is the serious danger posed by being stranded in an unknown wilderness facing an unknown hostile force without any substantial tech for two days. He's suddenly even more glad than usual to have Gammer on the squad.

Jessa moves to the coms and opens a channel using imperial codes. "MS-133 this is the Imperial Science Expeditionary Force, over. MS-133 what is you Situation Report?"
Jessa repeats the call a number for times,"Stev MS-133 HQ is still sending the same repeating message. Our message has also triggered and automated signal from an island north of the HQ. The signal code is automated but indicates an Imperial Supply Depot."
As she explains a message comes in,"The Emperor be praised you are here. We are down to just three members and night will be falling soon. They come at night."

Stev quietly mutters to himself "Finally, something goes right." "Jessa, you're the true Imperial here, so I'll let you begin dialogue. Just make sure you get their coordinates, and see if you can get more info on the hostiles." Stev then turns to the crew and announces "Everyone else, time to suit up!"

PD13 waits for designation of the drop zone from mission commander Stev. PD13 suggests using the planets mass to shield Aegis from the impending ion storm when the gas giants ar torn apart to mitigate damage the ships systems.
