The force is with you, Kaiya and Makio distract the Kryats to the north wall with the Bantha shadow puppets. It is only for few moments but it gives Stev and Samarion time to slide between the bars and into the room. Samarion drops to all four to incease his speed and races to the observation doorway. He makes it to the doors keypad before Kryats realize the Banthas are just shadows. The shifting sand and need to be careful make going slower for Stev. He crosses behind rock formation and is 6m away when the Kryats begin to sniff the air and turn to rush Stev. He strains to run and dive into the red zone before the beast charge.
The nobles stop wrestling as soon as the taunting begin. The stomp bare-chested and sweating from their exertions to the edge of the red zone,"Trooper leave Zedda and the girls alone. We will inform the warden of your mistreatment of his pets and you will be the next meat in the cart."
Baldric pushes Oric's shoulder and points to the running trooper coming toward them,"Someone be lost. Let's help Zedda find our little trooper. Zedda here boy! Come find some extra meat for your belly."
The two laugh at the struggling trooper (Stev).
As soon as Stev lands in the circle Baldric grabs him and pulls him up. "Been wanting to get hands on one of you for years." He punches Stev in the gut then pulls him back up. (8 minus soak)
Oric's fist cracks his helmet as it lands. "My wife said I always had anger issues. If a trooper like you didn't kill her she would tell me to think things through." (9 minus soak) He shakes his hand then hits Stev again."I've been thinking this through for 20 years." (9 minus soak)
The Kryats are rushing to the red zone (they can't pass it). Stev is in the red zone getting beat up. Samarion is at the door keypad trying to break in (3d vs mechanics or computers).

OOC: According to the Armor and Protection page, Stormtrooper is defense 1 soak 3, so Stev's Soak is 7 with the trooper armor. So, after the three hits he takes 5 total strain.
Well, Stev thinks, I'm impressed by how in shape these two still are, but I'd prefer to be impressed without having impressions of their fists all across my body. Still, I just need to stay calm and follow the plan.
"The mountain endures the storms. I believe that should tell you that I come as a liberator, not an oppressor. I am Stev, Sergeant of the New Republic, which you would likely have known as the Rebel Alliance, and my team and I have come to free you from your imprisonment. Please, hold your blows for the men who deserve them, and I will explain the situation we are all currently in."
Hopefully the two nobles are intelligent enough to piece together that no trooper would charge through a group of krayts purely for the sake of getting pummeled by two otherwise defenseless prisoners, and that same trooper would most definitely not know the secret motto of House Shador.
As Stev is trying to explain the situation to the men of Shador, Samarion successfully hacks the door's lock and opens it a crack. Since the Krayts are distracted with the men in the center, Samarion will take a moment to take a strong sniff of the observation room in the hopes of discerning if there are any living beings within. If not, he will give Kaiya the thumbs up and move into the room and close the door behind him.
Mechanics: Computer Check 2P1A vs 3D. Net result 1 success 1 advantage. Apply the advantage to his smell of the room.
Perception Check 3A1B vs Unknown. Raw score 2 successes 3 advantages.
If Samarion gives her the thumbs up and the nobles start listening to Stev, Kaiya will activate the button to tell the other teams their nobles are secured. She knows pulling off their collars could alert all the stations, so this is about as secure as the nobles will get until the messy part of the operation begins.

The Krayts prowl around the red zone.
Baldric pulls Stev's helmet off and Oric looks him over,"Your too pretty to be a stormtrooper. So Stev of the New Republic how do you plan to get us out of here?"
As Samarian works on the doorway you hear a voice projecting into the room,"Leave the trooper foolish enough to step into the Krayts lair to his fate."

Stev smiles "With a little leverage that the Warden was generous enough to offer. Himself." Stev knows that they'll need time to set up an assault on the Warden, so he'll start to slowly edge toward the outer portion of the red zone and keep the Krayts sniffing for him.
Samarion's question has most definitely been answered, so he motions over to Kaiya to back him up. Since all the attention is on Stev, Kaiya quickly sneaks over to the door and readies her blaster rifle.
Mechanics: Stealth Check 3A vs 2D. Net result 2 successes.
Kaiya nods to Samarion, and the two of them charge. Samarion rushes the dataport the Warden was using to access the speakers in order to shut down the energy emission alarm. Since he's done this before, he knows exactly where to look and finishes shutting the alarms down in record time, but he's unfortunately right in front of the Warden, making Kaiya's shot a tough one.
Mechanics: Computers Check 2P1A vs 4D (tougher due to limited time and combat situation, but reduced due to him doing this before and knowing where to look). Net result 2 triumphs 3 threats. Using threats to give 2 setbacks to Kaiya. Using 2 triumphs to make sure that this computer isn't giving us any problems.
Kaiya steps through the door and fires a stun shot at the Warden. She lands a solid hit, and the blast is potent enough to temporarily scramble any comms the Warden has. However, it also grazed Samarion, who lets out a slight yelp in surprise.
Mechanics: Ranged Heavy Check 2P1A vs 2D2S (assuming an enemy like this has at least 1 rank in adversary). Net result 1 triumph 1 threat. Using triumph to have the bolt disable anything he could use to send a warning. Using threat to give Samarion 1 strain. Warden takes 10 strain minus soak.

It doesn't exactly as planned. As Stev tries to draw their attention Kaiya begins to sneak to the south. She notices early that the Krayts have smelled her and gives up on stealth to break into a run (Their perception is pretty good 1d 2c). On the sands her chance of outrunning the Krayts quickly becomes impossible.
Makio pushes a cart of Bantha meat into the cage and then fires a quick burst at the Krayts. "Dinner time."
The Krayts shift focus from the prey to the attacker and spin rushing at Makio.
Samarian opens the door and finds a flight of stairs leading up. He rushes up the flight of stairs and at the top a bolt of blaster fire greets him. (He opened the door last round so still has his action this round) The blaster grazes him the Warden not expecting the attacker to be rushing on all fours. Samarian rushes across the room pouncing on the Warden. His claws sink in first followed by a burst of blood as his fangs sink into the Warden's throat. (1 wound and 2 strain for Samarian)
The Krayts are racing at Makio who plans to step back behind the bars when they get near.
Kaiya is still about 2/3 of the way to the open doorway.
Stev is in the red zone with the nobles.
Samarion is snacking.

Since the Krayts are busy with Makio behind bars, Kaiya runs into the observation room and closes the door behind her. She'll then move on to find the less-than-intact Warden, and she'll search the area for any ground collars or anything else that could be useful for the escape.
The Warden was kind enough to log into his computer in this room, so Samarion will go to the terminal and plug himself and Bifzik in. The two of them will disable all of the alarms in the system, and then will see what special features this console may have. Also, if the Warden has a private secure comm line that they can use to comm Bifizik and Teyjo without being detected, Samarion will open that up.
Since the Krayts may prove useful, Stev and Makio will set their weapons to stun and get into position to fire through the nostrils if they become dangerous, but if the Krayts prove to be no true threat then the two of them will hold their fire.

Kaiya makes it to the room and begins up the stairs.
Stev readies his weapon for when the krayts turn around.
Oric steps between him and the Krayts,"Your not going to kill them. These a magnificent noble beasts and deserve better than to be slaughter like Bantha."
Samarion rises from the dead warden pulls out a handkerchief and wipes his mouth slowly regaining control of his lower instincts.
He sees a richly styled room with couches, a bar section, and a control panel built into the cafe table before the couches. The wall to the north is transpersteel open to see the entire Krayt cell. Samarion notes that the holograph is showing a flashing red alert was pressed for this section by the Warden and that Trooper units are on the way. A general alert has not been given, but trooper have been called to this area. Samarion sees that this panel control all systems in the station not used for refining or propulsion. Over the PA he announcing to those below. "We have company coming."
In the Galley, Teyjo crouches and watches a 2 trooper units coming up the hall from the prison section and into the hallways toward the Krayt lair. "The sith is hitting the fan BifZik."

Stev gives Oric his rifle and says "I only intended to stun them for transport to larger facilities to help them grow, but they may be of help yet." He then gives Balduran his trooper blaster and grabs his vibroknife and officer's blaster for himself. "I have a feeling Samarion and Bifzik will help the Krayts eat well tonight."
"If my ally in the corridor is able to escape to the Observation Room, we should fall back with her to the far more defensible position. There is no honor in allowing oneself to be slaughtered when victory is only a few steps away."
Mechanics: If they have time, they'll aim and ready blasts into the corridor Makio's in and fire at the first troopers they see. However, if she gets away, they'll follow. While he won't say this to them, Stev will make sure he's the rear guard, since laminate is a whole lot better against blasters than flesh.
Kaiya frowns at the alarm and says "Samarion, you and Bifzik work on those computers. I want alarms and comms down, and cause whatever havoc you can to help us." She then lowers the observation window and sets her rifle ready. She'll give sniper support from the elevated position.
Mechanics: Same readied actions described for Stev and the Shadors.
Samarion kills the alarm and comms for the entire station, telling Bifzik "I will do what the commander specified. You may cause the havoc."
Mechanics: Computer Check 2P1A vs 2D (he's logged in as the Warden, so he just needs to find the functions). Net result 1 success 1 advantage.
Bifzik most certainly does. He lowers the bars on all the corridors except for the one Makio resides in, and will play a Bantha audiolog used to control the Krayt's movement for the needs of cleaning, training, and other times where a trooper may need to enter the area in order to lead the Krayts into those corridors. In Makio's corridor, he activates the fire suppression systems, and since Samarion cut all alarms the fire systems won't alert the rest of the station. He then locks as many of the entrances to the central area as possible, hoping to keep some slower troopers out, or maybe crush some faster ones.
Mechanics: Computer Check 4P1A vs 4D1S (crazier stuff, so harder). Net result 2 successes 1 advantage.
Makio has two possible choices: If all the Krayts leave the area, she'll run as fast as she can towards the observation room. If they don't, she'll ready an aim and fire on the troopers.

The bars lower and the bantha calls go out to all of the openings except the one Makio is at. The Kryats race out of the opening to freedom and possible food.
Teyjo readies himself to rush the troopers from behind and rescue his friends when a Krayt dragon slides into the corridor and begins to attack the troopers. Teyjo quickly closes the galley door and begins to push tables in front of it. "This is not stealthy. Definitely not stealthy."
"It is effective though," Bifzik responds casually.
Troopers turn the corner and see Makio in trooper armor. Then a Kryat head appears behind them biting one in half. "See yah would not want to be yah!" Makio says cheerfully as steps through the bars and back into the lair. Another trooper sees that as a good idea and follows her.
The nobles take the weapons and after Stev releases their collars follws him toward the observation room.
Kaiya opens an observation window and settles her rifle into position. She see a short trooper coming from the area Makio was at followed by a tall one and decides to shoot the tall one. The trooper drops in the sand behind Makio.
The nobles turn to fire on the short trooper but are stopped when makio pulls of the helmet and yells,"Not a trooper! Don't shoot."
Kaiya pulls out her datapad and touches the images of the king and his brother. The border around them turns green and sends a small data communications to the other teams.
"We have the King and his brother secured." Bifzik states to Teyjo.
"Yes, I just won 20 creds each from Gammer and Sasha." He hears the screams and blaster fire in the hall."Now if we can only survive to collect."

"Samarion" Kaiya says, "Good call making our comm signal the only working one. Now we finally won't be in the dark. Now search the Warden for anything that can get us out of this mess."
"Bifzik, if there's a way for the computer to unlock the nobles' collars, I want it done now. Otherwise, tell me how."
"Kem, I'm sure your team saw the light, give me an update on your situation and alert me when you're attacking so we can shut down all of the slave collars. Make sure you bring your e-web, things could get messy in here. Oh, and watch out for stray Krayt dragons, you can stun them with a stun bolt through the nose up to the brain, no killing."
Kaiya will then return to her sniper position while the rest of the group goes into the observation room and regroups.

The Nobles, Makio, and Stev make it into the observation room. They hear screaming, weapon fire, roaring and other sounds of chaos. "So what is your plan." The once and hopefully future king asks. Bifzik releases the collars on all of the prisoners. In the refinery below, Shadormen pounce on officers and troopers tossing them into the molten surface below. In the observation and security rooms Troopers and Officers begin the regroup to quell the riot. From the Ore Transport rush 25 armed Shadormen. The race out of the loading deck and split into teams of 5 that begins to clear the station on all directions. Kem looks at the schematic sent to him by Samarion,"I'll be their quickly and will bring my favorite toys." The group finds sniping posts and waits for any Imperials to reach the Observation Lounge. Teyjo and BifZik continue to hide in the galley. Kem pulls on his breastplate and his e-web and begins to follow a unit of five toward the Kryat lair. Gunthar sees his new friends flowing off the ship and onto the station, picks up his club, and ??  |

Forgot to mention Samarion has controls that electrifies the Kryats lair enough to stun a dragon. He can press a button and fry everyone in the lair easily.

Kaiya starts rapid-firing out orders. "Samarion, see if you can find any mouse droids or any other droids you can control and upload that bantha call into them. I don't want to risk our people getting the Krayts back in here."
"Stev, take the Warden's collar and the collar of that trooper I downed and bring Bifzik and Teyjo here, I don't like leaving them alone, and I can only imagine what Bifzik could whip up with direct access to the station's computers. Oh, and lead that Krayt over here with that Bantha call of yours so we have one less to worry about."
"I'm going to see if we can resolve this without any more bloodshed." She activates her comm "Kem, make sure nobody dies until I get an answer to this next question."
Kaiya activates the Warden's intercom so she can address the Imperials without having to open up any external communications.
"Imperial forces, I am Commander Kaiya Adrimetrum of the New Republic. I am sure you are aware of your situation. Your Warden is dead, we have taken control of all major systems, shut down communications, and you now have the combined wrath of angry Krayts and even angrier freed men of Shador directed towards you. There is no escape and no rescue. Thus, I ask that you surrender. If you submit to arrest, you will be treated honorably as prisoners of war, even if you did not extend that same offer to House Shador. We will remove the Krayts and ensure that none of you are harmed. Just announce your surrender through the intercom, and I will personally guarantee your safety. If you do not surrender, then I cannot make that same guarantee."
Mechanics: Coercion Check 2P2A vs ?. Raw score 4 successes 2 advantages, to be mitigated by opposing Discipline.

Samarion sees a comm arrive at the Warden's shoulder communicator,"Commander the assistant Warden is on the comm system trying to get a message through."
Samarion starts working to find a mouse droid or two and does find the a few servant/ protocol droids who can do the job. The other droids don't have voice modulators that can make the sound.
"This is Commander Adrimetrum can we end this conflict before more of your people die or are all of you going to end like your Warden bleeding out at my feet?" Kaiya states.
"We will surrender the station and the workers if we are allowed safe passage to the shuttles and your word we may leave without harm." The Warden states calmly.
Kaiya clicks off the comm for a moment. "What do you think? If we let them leave too early we could tip off the other stations. If we fight a lot of Shadormen will die."
"They will not walk away from this. We want a complete surrender." The King speaks then extends his hand for the comm,"Kirkland you will surrender to the men of Shador or I will drink my first toast of freedom from your skull. You have one minute to decide." He motions to Samarion,"Put me on the all call." His voice booms through the station."Men of Shador I am King Oric rightful High King of Kathol. I have given these Imperial 1 minute to surrender. If not we will slaughter them like they have our people for many decades."
Stev
The Kryat has moved to the mess hall and is sniffing the food out on the tables. Stev sneaks down the hall to the galley and knocks on the door. "Teyjo let me in."
"Whats the password." Teyjo says.
"I'm not going to say it."
"Come on."
"Danger Zone."
Teyjo opens the door and he and Bifzik come out to sneak back with you when the Kryats head jerks out of the mess hall and sniffs in the direction of Teyjo. "He must like my aftershave," Teyjo says as he races toward the lair.
Bifzik runs after exclaiming,"What do Lupi shave?"
Stev follows with his rifle ready.
You can keep ahead until you make it to the sand. The Krayt will chase you down on the sand.
Kem and Guthar
Kem and Gunthar look down the hall from the loading deck and see the 5 shadowmen are pinned down by the combination of fire from the north and 2 super battle droids to the east. Kem figures Kaiya said no killing so targets the droids. His e-web burst down the hall gouging the walls and reducing the 2 clankers to scrap.
The Shadormen cheer and increase their fire at the enemies to the north. The firing ceases for a moment as the king's voice booms his demands to the Imperial Forces. The Shadormen cheers almost drown out the King. After the enemy fire stays paused then continues.

Kaiya
Kaiya's going to give the Imperials one more chance. She knows there's not much of a shot, but she has to try. "Please Kirkland, do not be a fool. You know we cannot let an entire base filled with enemies simply walk away free, but we can make sure you stay in a condition where you CAN walk. Every moment you delay is a moment someone dies a senseless death. The New Republic knows how to treat prisoners properly, you do not have to worry about your safety. Please, for the sake of yourself and all of your men, stand down and accept a full surrender, not just a withdrawl."
Mechanics: Negotiation Check 2P1A vs ?. Raw Score 1 triumph, 1 success, 2 advantages (wow!). If the check fails, can the triumph be used so that some of the troopers break ranks anyway?
Stev
"If we try to run to the observation room, we're dead. Everyone, head for the entryway directly south of us, it won't catch up in 3 meters!"
Stev turns on his comm "Samarion, after we move into the southern entryway, close it, then shock the sand and take out the Krayt!"
OOC: If this needs a check of any sort, Stev will activate Shortcut, which gives him a boost in chases. Also, I don't suppose Shortcut could be used narratively in a literal sense of taking a shorter route than the Krayt?
