Keeg's laser cannons catch the unaware shuttle with the full four bolts on the rear. Dasha locks his previous targeting information and follows with a full barrage of her own. The shuttle falters and drops downward. You follow and must pull up as it crashes with a ball of fire that ignites something in atmosphere causing the flames to burst out for half a klick. Your team skims over the tops of the flames.

Ranna pink, Pash Blue over the top of the lower map. TIEs are scattered and will not have minion bonuses to attacks until they make it into formation. Ciro- Blue, Gabby- Green Blue outlines are hazards/ tops of rock formations.

It is the toxins from 300+ years of ore processing mixed with the natural nastiness of this planet. You note your X-Wing is being covered in what looks like little metal grit that is scouring the hull as you fly through. Brophar will be less than pleased at the conditions of the X-wings. Disabling in the atmosphere is hard. Once they make it to space no problem.

You receive a message from the New Republic's secured comm. "Pilots, this is Ensign Sivu of Team C. We have commandeered an Imperial shuttle and are leaving with the mission--the mission as successful as was possible under the circumstances. Do not fire on the shuttle leaving the third base, I repeat, do not fire on the shuttle leaving the third base. We will alter our transponders and regroup with the rest of the crew once we have left the range of enemy cannons. Please avoid approaching our position and compromising our deception. Ensign Sivu out."
In the atmosphere, you have no way to be sure this shuttle is from the third station or another.

Ciro weighs the odds of getting through the mess ahead. He knows he could probably pilot his way through easily enough, but not sure if Gabby can handle it. "Don't want to loose a pilot this early in the missing, and my brother will kill if I waste an X-wing. But we need to stop that shuttle."
"Gabby, don't take any unnecessary risk in this garbage. I am going to move on ahead, keep me in your sensors and follow. But do not worry about staying on my tail. Just stay close enough to deliver a follow up shot."
Flipping over to his internal comm, "Okay Krayt. Angle shields forward and let me know if you detect any new surprises while I see if I can out-maneuver that Imp pilot." He then punches the engines full forward to catch up "Krayt is going to hate this," he says to himself as he knowingly strains the engines
Ciro pulls ahead at full speed.
Mechanics:Pilot Check for flying around obstacles: (3P1A vs 2D) = 3 Net Success (Using Improved Full Throttle to Push Speed to 6, suffering 1 Strain. Skilled Jockey removes 2 Setback due to hazards) If close enough, another Pilot Check to Gain Advantage: 4 Success 2 Advantage 1 Triumph. Otherwise Gunnery Check for Target Lock (2P2A) = 3 Success 4 Advantage

Krayt beeps and chirps in response. The translator unit displays "How in Skrag am I supposed to know?"
"Krayt, I talking to myself. But why don't you see if you can detect anything abnormal about it's transponder code, see if it's fluctuating any. I'll try nudging it out of the atmosphere so we can get a better look"

The shuttle has angled shields aft. It is only 400m away from you and it is flicking it's exterior lights on and off and wiggling to the left, right, then left again. It is transmitting an imperial code.
From your 120 four cannon burst blast well wide of you striking the mountains near you. Another cannon burst strikes much closer to Gabby as she pulls down into the mountain peaks to provide some cover. Krayt tracks them both back to the same spot which is one of the stations.

I am going to draw their fire off of you" Ciro pulls up and around, flying evasively, hoping the Imps will forget where Gabby went. Kaiya then sends a general comm on the secured line. "This is Commander Adrimetrum of Team B. The King and his brother are safe, and the base is under our control. We have heard of Team C's situation and are currently preparing to disable their weapons with our own. What is your status report Team A?"

You detect the station that fired on you has been fired upon by another station. 3 of the 8 stations guns are leaking energy and blaster gas. One burst in a pocket of flammable atmosphere. 5 are still functional.
Lodor replies "Hey Commander, this is Lodor with Team A. We've got control of our station, and we'll give more details after we take down these Imps who think they know how to use real guns!"

Ranna thrusts forward giving her X-Wing the full throttle. She is pressed into her pressure seat and her flight suit pumped up the prssure to compensate for the high g thrust. She covers 800m in 6 seconds coming up on the surprised TIE breaking the atmosphere. Her cannons blast hitting it squarely with for blasts and leaving nothing by a firey ball.
Pash is not able to keep up as he angles off to the second TIE. A line goes red showing an overheat in his systems as he targets the TIE and fires. His cannon clips the TIE but the atmosphere directly below bursts and consumes the TIE in a ball of flame.
The other two TIEs do not detect them until they have fired. One TIE is well ahead unable to target the X-Wings, the second attempts to fire in the burst of the second TIE. His blasters miss arcing into space.
Station fire blasts past Ranna. Pash is not as lucky the cannon fire clips the wing of his fighter. (2 hull damage to Pash)
The firing allows you to target the laser cannons easily (2 boosts to fire on a station cannon). They are 3d from Ciro and Gabby and 4d from Pash and Ranna. They are also 4d from Keeg's group.

Gabby come in low using the thick atmosphere to hide his approach. While the gunners are busy trying to take potshots at her commander. As she approaches the cannon, she squeezes the trigger and twin beams of laser streak towards the unwitting cannon, scoring a direct hit and sending it up in a big explosion. She quickly pulls up and spins her x-wing to avoid the expanding fire cloud. She pulls away from the danger, but her fighter can't take the extreme motion in this thick gas, causing her maneuver thrusters to almost sputter out. "Not like the bongo's back home," she reminds herself.
As Gabby's target goes up in flames, Ciro banks down towards the second firing cannon. Fortunately, it's gunners had there attention on the other cannons exploding, and didn't detect him coming toward their gun. He opens fire with his quad cannons and easily scores a hit and send fire and shrapnel into the atmosphere. "Good shooting Gabby!" he calls out. "Alpha and Omega squads, report in, what's your sit?"
Mecahnics: Gabby - Gunnery Check1P2A2B vs 3D = 2 Net Successes scoring 7V damage. Pilot Check. 2P1A v 2D1S = 1 Success 2 Threat (cause 2 strain on the ship )
Cire - Gunnery Check 2P2A2B vs 3D = 3 Net Success 1 Advantage scoring 8V damage. Use advantage to give boost to maneuver to pilot away from explosion Pilot Chack 3P1A1B vs 2D (use Skill Jockey to remove Setback) = 2 Success 2 Advantage 1 Triumph

Ranna and Pash manuever toward the 2 TIEs when for X-Wings come up from the atmosphere behind the TIE.
"Surprise!" Keeg states as the cannons for 4 TIE aft and 2 TIE forward catch them in a crossfire. The TIE are slagged quickly.
You continue to scan the area but are not finding any other Imperial ships.
From Station C (the last station not under control) comes a message from the Shadormen that they have assumed control of the station.
OOC All missions will move posts to this thread until you return to Kolatill and the arriving FarStar.
