Back with Lodor and Loh'Khar.
Lodor thinks to himself and smiles. "Well, with this shiny grenade I can help with stunning him...and all of you, but you morons weren't very specific about your desires, so this is just a difference in interpretation." Lodor chucks the stun grenade he got from Loh'Khar. He lands it right between the group of them, blasting them all while Lodor ducks back into cover. Since he ducked back so fast, he's not sure if any of them are still standing.
Mechanics; Ranged (Light)- Guessing it's normal range since I snuck in closer, so 1P 3A 1B (surprise bonus) vs 2D. Net score is 4 successes, for a total of 12 Strain damage to each of the House Karadol men. Then Lodor uses his maneuver to take cover.
OOC: Just a reminder, since we just disguised ourselves as the Twi'Lek thugs, if any of the soldiers DO see us, they'll think we're just common street thugs, not anybody associated with the New Republic.

OOC: I forgot about that.
Lodor pitches the stun grenade into the midst of the four guards from House Karadol. The wave of force from the grenade blows them all backwards into various poses on the floor.
Ned'ix verpine senses process faster than human he sees a Twa'Legra thug lob a grenade at him. The Verpine is sheltered from some of the blast by his distance from them and the bodies of the guards. He is little shaken but not stunned. He rushes to the ship and a hatch opens from where you would never expect one.
Loh'Khar appears between him and the ship,"Ned'ix, friend, we are not you enemies." (Negotiation check to calm the Verpine)
The Verpine rushes past him without even a pause and the hatch closes behind him. The engines on the ship (or at least you think they are the engines) are beginning to warm up.
Lodor looks back from the crates in time to see the Verpine rush past Loh'Khar. Loh'Khar sees the look on his face and admits,"I don't really do violence young one. I have friends like you to do violence." He pulls a comm device out of his robes (which you believe to be a bag of holding).
As Pash and Keeg finish "entertaining" the natives the sensors detect an energy reading from the warehouse and a transponder code for a Ghtroc 720 transport freighter named the Fiz'Et.
Over the comms is Loh'Khar,"Lt Dejas and friends a ship is attempting to lift off with the last accurate astrogation charts on this planet. Please assist."
Keeg and Pash can see a hanger door open in the roof of the warehouse and the silhouette of what they would mistake for a pile of junk if it didn't have a transponder.

Moving to short range of the flying rustbucket. doing a gain the advantage maneuver, to get were i think the engines should be. For my action I am going to start scanning the ship to see where it's power source is located, engines, or Repulsors. Hoping to give pash some targeting information. (1Y1G vs 3P = no success, 1 advantage)
Keeg to Jessa: Omega defender one Lt Dejas, permission to fire on launching craft to disable
Keeg to pash: I guess if you put enough engines on a permacrete slap you can make it into a ship. I think that is suppose to be an engine, or a ram scoop (passing a boost die to Pash with 1 advantage)

The defenders computers can not designate the engine room because power is arching around the ship in all sorts of funny ways. Punching up the schematics for a Ghtroc you can see where the engines, repulsorlifts, hyperdive, and such would be originally on the vessel. So a nice aim boost to fire on your best guess. If you cripple his repulsorlift their is no way he can maneuver out of the hanger door.

"Granted, Defender, disable the ship"
"If you have any more product, we can sell that along the way as well. " Negotiation check.
"I've been helping ensure order to this sector, and I believe we can only achieve peace through the New Republic. If you'd like, when I get back from this expedition, we can talk about furthering the New Republic goals. Consider it a fundraiser dinner... a very personal fundraiser dinner." Deception check.

OOC: Well if i could find the engines, that would prevent it from moving away REAL fast and giving chase, or even crashing into something. by taking out the repulsors it wont go anywhere... but might hurt things below it.

The Plant Manager begins to negotiate price on a small tonnage until Jessa gives him the come hither look and he melts into a stuttering blob Jessa knows to be the average male around her."We have 330 tons of frozen product that is without transport. It a .. would be better to uhm have our product visible in the market. You make take it on for sale on any planet and we split the purchase price. I uhm ...heard the FarStar is not leaving today with the Republic Fleet... are you...uhm...free tonight?..?"
The two Doctors who approached after the Holocams left are smirking and Jessa believes she see a high five out of the corner of her eye.
Lok'khar comms hoping Ned'ix is listening,"Captain be reasonable. We have come to negotiate for a copy of your astrogations charts. We have no interest in your fine vessel. If forced though we can dig the astrogation computer out of the wreakage." (crazy Verpines are really hard to negotiate with)
"You no take ship! You let me leave!" The ship is starting to lift off through the hanger roof access. You do not detect any power signatures big enough to be a turbolaser. The take off makes the engines and repulsorlift identifiable by the large amount of power in those sections. (boost to aim, boost for point blank range, boost for his lack of maneuverability as he lifts off.)
Knowing what is to happen next Loh'Khar turns to run as far any from the hanger door as possible motioning Lodor to do the same.

In response to Loh'Khar, Lodor yells "Looks like a great idea to me!" and follows to just outside the hangar.

Loh'Khar hears a beep on his commlink that a data transmission is being sent. He connects to his datapad and a flow of astrogation begins to fill it. It is followed by a desperate plea,'Okay! You got charts no hurt Fiz'et. No hurt Fiz'et." Loh'Khar immediately relays the charts to the ship Communications. Lodor does notice he is not calling off the defender strike.

Lodor talks into his comm "Good news boys, we just got the charts. That means do not fire on the ship. Stand down. I repeat: DO NOT FIRE ON THE SHIP! If you guys really have itchy trigger fingers, I'll invite the both of you to the Gunnery sim after this for a bit of fun. Anybody want to take me up on that offer?"
Lodor notices Loh'Khar glaring at him "...What? You seemed busy, so I told them to stand down. Somebody had to do it." Then, with a sly grin on his face, Lodor returns to Jessa and the rest of the group.

"Come on Pash, pick something that looks like it might be a repuslor and fire on it. Look at that thing over there, it looks like the bottom of a LAVr QH-7 Chariot.. good enough for me"
Gunnery (since Pash can't make up his mind whether to fire on the weather vane looking thing or something that reminds him of a large Bang-pop maker) 2Y2G3B vs 2p (since i assume it is silouette 4, and has no shields) 2 success 3 advantage, with the Med laser cannons that is a crit, since i dont need the linking

The guns blaze into the ship and a cloud of parts burst in all directions. Pash swears he sees a refresher and part of a galley fly of the pile of sithspit. The ship shudders and falls back to the hanger bay smoking from the fire. (This vessel is a sad sad thing)

Lodor hears the blast and turns around to see the ship fall. "By the Force! How could those blaster-happy laserbrains do that?!"
He rushes to the wreckage in the hopes of rescuing the Verpine if it somehow managed to survive the crash. He throws a breath mask on his face to protect himself from the smoke and rushes in through the hole blasted into the ship.

Loh'Khar stands outside the smoking Fiz'Et giving Lodor a few moments before he considered him a lost cause and moved on. As he watches the charts upload he contacts the Defender,"Good work Defender. Sometimes the young do not understand that a little fear is required as well as respect to make a deal. In the future Captains will be much more cooperative to our cause."
AS he turns to leave a silhouette appears in the smoke. Lodor carries the unconscious Verpine on his shoulder out of the wreckage and places him gently on a crate. The Verpine coughs and sit upright. Looking at his ship he just slumps with his head in his hands.
Loh'Khar is already out of the hanger and sees the front gate has opened. Jessa and the science team are talking a group of worker who are returning to the plant. He walks through them and happily takes a speederbike back to town. He still needs a few seeds and other items to complete his and the Captain's lists.
Jessa finds the Plant Manager takes the concise answer well and states he will have the cargo delivered to the FarStar. The Biologist will be able to determine what marine life are needed for the tanks.
A fine first day of work for the former Imperial.
