"Careful though. Even if they are thieves, if the media sees us opening fire on anybody, it could become a PR nightmare for the New Republic's efforts here. I'd say no blasters unless they pull out theirs."
Mechanics: Lodor assists Jessa's Perception check by adding a boost die.

As Jessa and Lodor assess the situation Loh'Khar explains,"See the markings on the Lekku. They are members of the Twa'Legra, a former noble that is now a crime family. None of the imperial workers have shown up in three days. They have already cut through the outer gate and obviously see this as the easy target we do."
One thing you also note is under his hood Loh'Khar's Lekku bear the same markings as the Twi'Leks he is pointing out.
You do not see anyone else outside of any buildings.

Pvt Lodor, Lt Jessa, Chief Loh'Khar, Chief Hasselock, Lt Arac. Warrant Officers (Chiefs)are not generally in the command structure. So Lt Jessa and Lt Arac would be top rank and you are the tactical officer.

"I want Loh'khar running a distraction for us at the front gate." Jessa turns to Loh'Khar. "Take off that NR uniform. Put your lekkus behind your head. Keep 'em busy. Tell them that they're needed elsewhere and that they should pack up their things. I'm not any good at making up stories. It's up to you, just keep them busy." Jessa addresses the group. "I'm going to give our flyboys something to do. I want an X-Wing laying down suppressing fire on the other side of the gate if they try to get through it, as well as snapping any shots of opportunity. The X-Wing will take a while to get here, so we're going to pin them down until the X-wing arrives. While Loh'Khar's distracting, the rest of us are getting into position. I'll be taking the west point. Hasselock, Arak, go southwest and get ready to hop over the wall by amplifying the repulsorlifts on my command. Kintor, hook around and get to that north position covering the inner gate so they don't breach it. You have permission to fire and take out their speedercraft as soon as Loh'Khar gets out of the way. Loh'Khar, we're going to put you on a one-way mic, so everyone can hear what you're saying to them. Once everyone's in position, I'll signal Loh'Khar with a light. Loh'Khar, either you find a peaceful diplomatic solution that will get them to leave, or drive away and move to cover on the east side. Don't get off your speeder until you're out of harm's way. If they come out themselves, so much the better because they won't have cover. After Loh'Khar gets out of the way, Kintor, lay into them with the speeder guns. You don't need to hit anyone, just get them away from that gate... Okay, actually, hitting the thugs would give you bonus points. When the X-wing shows up, I want Hasselock over the wall. The thugs will be suppressed to the north wall of the gate while you'll have cover from high above and effectively flanking them. Tell them to surrender immediately to the New Republic. The X-wing nearby should give us extra leverage in that department. If Hasselock's speeder goes down, I want Hasselock and Arak to surrender. These guys are common thugs, so we can always negotiate your release with money. We can't let them past the inner gate because we'll lose our ability to pin them down. If the inner gate goes down before an X-wing gets here, then the plan is off and we retreat. The thugs would be on the inside at that point, with many vantage points covering one entrance, so we'll have to retreat, regroup, and reformulate our plan. Alright, I'm about to call FarStar. Any questions?" Jessa wipes her brow. She realizes that being inside of the speeder with Hasselock would improve their chances, but Jessa didn't want to risk her own life. All of these New Republicans are expendable to her.

"Sounds like a plan to me. I love bonus points. Also, I have a feeling I can take a few hits more than most of the rest of you, so I'll try to keep them focused on trying to take me out until our air support arrives."
OOC: Do we know the name of that type of transport? If it's squishy enough, I can try to use it like a grenade and end this fight very quickly if violence becomes necessary.

Loh'khar flips his hood up on his robe and pulls it forward on his shoulder patches (the only thing New Republic about his clothing). He pulls another robe from his speeder. "Maybe I take Lodor with me. He can look Twi'lek and would give me a more intimidating presence?"
Dr. Arac looks off to the sky with a tilt of his head then look back suddenly,"The transport speeder is an older model. It should be able to clear the wall with the adjustments the mechanics made to it, but by my calculations it will be tight." Hasselock and Arac agree and begin to drive causally around to the southwest.
Jessa contacts Lilith at comms who patches through to Ciro. With a brief explaination he agrees but with a change in ships. Ciro believes the Defender with the turreted gunner and better atmospheric abilities will be able to provide a better support with less chance of collateral damage. He states it will take about 4 minutes for it to arrive.

"I'll see if Loh'khar and I can talk these guys down, but I'll park my speeder behind the buildings nearby for an extra quick getaway and bonus firepower. I'll throw the robe over me so they just see the lekku. Maybe we can convince them we're part of this fancy crime family and act like we're warning them about the incoming NR strike and tell them to scatter. We don't even have to lie about the strike part."

"Let's not waste time. I'll park your speeder for you. Go now."
Jessa takes Lodor's speeder and drives off. Jessa calls the FarStar, gets herself patched through to the pilot, and briefs the pilot to triple check the targets.
"When I give the attack order, kill when you've confirmed that they are not us. A few of us are not wearing our NR uniforms. We've got two Twi'leks on our side, but the rest of the Twi'leks are the thugs. Your weapons are a go to provide suppressing fire (or warning shots), but I have not given you the order to kill yet."
Jessa takes off her NR jacket and flips it to the reverse side OR she takes it off and is just wearing a black tank top... and pants.
Mechanics: When she flips it over, if it doesn't look like an NR uniform anymore, then she'll wear it, otherwise she'll ditch it. It's just a jacket so I assume it's fine.

To jessa over comm: omega flight defender one inbound to your position. I copy, begin supression fire on positive ID on hostiles and your command. Will not target to kill.
Keeg yanks the throttle to full enjoying seeing the scenery blur just below him as he heads out.
"PAsh, looks like you get to prove your a bad shot. Take over the etheric rudder to help you aim the craft we we get there"

As Loh'Khar and Lodor walk confidently through the already opened outer gate Jessa and Keeg receive a comm message from Cap. Ciro.
"We had to receive clearance to operate in the atmo from the locals. The former INN has a report of renewed New Republic action in the capital. They are probably sending a holonews crew your way. So finish quick or look good doing it."
The 2 thugs to the back of the transport strut toward Loh'Khar,"Hey, Schutta this is Twa'legra claim."
Loh'Khar strokes the visible part of his Leeku while his hood still hides his face. "I would know Twa'legra claims."
The 2 thugs lower their eyes,"Tualin (Twi'Lek for Noble), we will have gate open and a return of what was our soon."
"We will need to delay our return of what is ours to another day." Loh'Khar motions to the sky."A New Republic patrol is coming. We must wait to reclaim what is our until their ships are gone." (Mechanics; Deception 5 success, 1 advantage)
One of the thugs jogs forward to the Twi'Lek supervising the gate cutting.
Loh'Khar begins to walk away with Lodor before the leader can get a good look. (Cool check 0 success and 1 threat)
The Leader of the thugs calls for you to stop."Tualin, Where did this report come from? What clan are you Neera (brother)?"
Loh'Khar looks to Lodor and whispers,"Sithspit"
The Science team is positioned by the building next to the wall ready to make the "jump".
Keeg and Pash are 4 minutes away.
Jessa talked them into a blaster and is in her hidden fire position.

Jessa hides behind cover and holds out a small blade to get a visual on her crew.
OOC- What does Jessa see? What is Jessa's range to the gate? What are the stats for the speeder bike? (same as core rulebook?)

Since their backs are facing the thugs, Lodor whispers "Just act really defensive and insulted, like you're shocked that they wouldn't already know. I'll try to look scary and angry enough that they don't want to make us angry. Threaten them with discipline from their clan leaders or something of that sort."
Mechanics: We'll try to Deceive them again with a boost from Lodor. At the very least we can cause enough confusion and strife to delay them.
