Is there a way to see into those rooms with Izzy, the drakes, or the goblin room in front of izzy from up here on the rooftop?
I think they will need as much help as they can get down there, I have some of those fire-jars left and could try tossing them down at the goblins. Maybe if one or two of you could monitor the situation up here, the rest of us could try to aid those below from up here?

Also, what does everybody have in the way of spells? Is there anything anybody could do to try and persuade those drakes to attack goblins?
I have hunters mark(currently cast on one of the drakes), ensnaring strike, and cure wounds.

Oloric and Malik have nothing useful.

Blackarrow has Maneuvers thanks to Battle Master, so those are pretty similar to spells.
He's got Menacing Attack, Trip Attack, and Parry. So, he can't make the drakes aggressive, but their Wisdom's just middling, so he might be able to scare them away. Tripping them could be nice, especially if it's when they step on a trap, but considering their high Strength, there's only about a 50/50 shot of it working.

Well hopefully you guys get down here quick. Malik will try to hit a drake next round to see if he can save Paelius but its unlikely to end well without more help hehe.
Blackarrow is up but is there still a goblin up top?
Edit: I think tower 3 is clear so you guys are clear but the other tower ones are moving too. We probably need to get a defensive position to handle these numbers so they can't all get at us? Not sure there's a great spot though

The third tower would give them access from the ladder above and the door out to the gatehouse. The trapped room would slow them down. If you could move the drake back a little he would hit another pressure plate. Even throwing something at the nearest pressure plate would put him in the blast. Now this would also put Paelius in the blast.
The Drake beside you has taken 22 fire damage already from the room.
There are 4 goblins up top and 7 down below. Izzy is between 7 goblins and a Rage Drake.

Hraken could probably kill one of the drakes in a turn or two. He cast hunters mark on one already, that with colossus slayer he could do 1d10+4+1d8+1d6 damage in a single attack, for anywhere between 7 and 28 damage. I'll go ahead and try to taken them out (If I can see them) instead of gambling on being able to turn them.

It sounds like we could get shots on them if we're on top of tower 3 through the hatch as long as we keep it open. It probably only has line of sight on the main room though, so those goblins could still move about unhindered.

You would not have los to the gatehouse courtyard from the hatch to the tower. If you took tower four you go to the bottom of the towers and have a good crossfire on anyone in the courtyard. The barracks goblins and rage drakes would need to get to the courtyard. You could essily use the trap room against them. There are the last four goblins up top in tower four. You could run and drop down the bridges over the water to get to the lower level.

Those Drakes are going to be tough together but it seems the one is hurt some so hopefully we can finish him off before the other one is there. Two would just ruin our day but if we can finish that one off we might have a chance. I actually thought they had damage resistance but that's not the Rage ones so the first one should fall now that he's somewhat injured. We really need to get out of there with 7 goblins and the traps!
To be clear the other drake is on the other side of the 7 goblins in the barracks correct?
And before Malik goes Fargrim is in melee range with the Drake to heal Paelius (who's still grappled I assume) and Izzy is also now in melee range with the Drake correct?
My hope is Malik can take out the first Drake as Hraken moves in and then once most of us are together we can tag team the other one. But worried about the goblins numbers since we're too much in the open.

Only one goblin below has a ranged weapon. Izzy is behind the wounded drake and fargrim and malik are in front. Paelius is in his mouth. Paelius slowed the other drake so he needs a save to move at normal. The other drake is on the west side of the trap room.

Izzy aka "Fargrim". Does he Fargrim have Bless? It's a HUGE spell for helping (giving 3 people 1d4 roll to their attacks). It's really a worthwhile spell for the cleric to keep up if possible. Maybe in some future fights if he doesn't have but it could make a huge difference in these fights. Paladins can cast it but I only have basically 2 spell slots and have been wanting to use for either healing or damage (was hoping to hit the drake and smite it dead but not this round at least hehe).

Yeah, Fargrim's got Bless, it's a domain spell for Life clerics. Hadn't thrown it up yet because it's concentration and there's only a couple of us down here. Think I should throw it up next round?

If others are around to make good use of it yeah. If Izzy and Hraken or Blackarrow are in the area then you can get us all beefed up some!

So, all the plans may change once the drakes and the gnome act, but I'm thinking that we may need to start a bit of a tactical withdrawl. While killing the hobgoblin hornblower bought us a little time, I'm worried that the fleeing leader may be going back for those reinforcements he mentioned. If so, this place is going to fill up with nasties fast. We may need to focus on pulling Paelias out of there, and then locking down the doors, grabbing the money, (hopefully) freeing the herbalist, and then hiding somewhere where the hundreds of soldiers can't find us.
Alternatively, if an army does show up and we can't get away, I'm thinking, with the hobgoblins being Lawful Evil and honor-bound and all that, we may be able to win our way out by having one of us challenge Sinruth to single combat. He'd look like a coward if he says no, and we could gain control of his battalion if we win, which could be infinitely useful. As a hobgoblin captain, Sinruth's CR3, so a one-on-one fight would be tough, but considering most of a captain's powers rely on being buffed via proximity to allies or buffing said allies in return, I think it's totally feasible as a fallback plan.
