Oloric reports his findings and the Council. The group burst out all at once.
"The Baroness has not been seen for decades."
"She would not work with goblins."
"There are no Red Hand tribes. The last of them are dead and being burned as we speak."
"She can't be a threat to us. she does not leave Rivenroar."

Izzy heads over to the Council building. Sketching out a quick bow, he smiles, and says:
"Hey, so it looks like you've got some kind of ancestral doom-foe action going on here! Apparently the kid of one of your old goblin pals took the part where you wiped out his dad all personally, and then some mook working for your undead lich-queen neighbor offered him some kind of 'ultimate power' deal, and now you're all in for a kicking, looks like!" He looks around the mostly empty council chamber. "So, hands up; who wants to run for the hills? ...anybody? No? Ah, well, we can't all think ahead of the game."
He looks down at the map. What's it of?

Oloric looks to the council, "You sound like you know the baroness well. How is this so? Clearly she has some new interests. If not, it is still our only lead. How do you suggest we deal with her as we clearly need to confirm if this is rumor or not. "

Fargrim thanks Noel again for his generosity. "I hope to put 'Tussel' to good use. And I'll take good care of it as well. Makes me want to give my own mace a name... I never thought about it before, honestly. Now if you would kindly go over that loading sequence again...?"
OOC: Hey guys, Fargrim is ready! What time is it, Stephen? Maybe we should leave in the morning if it's getting late.

"Also, to address your points individually: well, just because you haven't seen her for decades doesn't mean much IF SHE'S A LICH. It's not like she's gonna get old and die; she already kinda did that. Next, SOMEONE'S working with the goblins, and keeping them supplied with some pretty heavy magical support. Shapechanging magic and flying potions don't just grow on trees. As for there being no Red Hand tribes, I think the events of the last day or so kinda put that one to rest. There's enough of them left that they could throw an awful lot of lives away to get this mission done, and it looks like they might have actually gotten enough of it done to move on with whatever they're planning next. And as for leaving Rivenroar, if she's got swarms of goblins and hobgoblin mercenaries, she doesn't exactly have to leave, now does she?" Izzy shakes his head. "Pretending this isn't happening isn't going to help much, folks. Pretty much all that's going to accomplish is to make sure she succeeds at whatever she's planning to do."

Its possible to get there today with the wagon?
Oloric only wants any suggestions they have to minimize trouble (as if that's actually possible). He is only here for a payday and some reputation

Whatever the Baroness wanted with the Jairo's, Hraken was sure it was something to do with their lineage. They were nobles once, and there was likely a significance to symbols on the crest. He makes a mental note of its features, but leaves it behind. He returns to the group, to see they are nearly prepared to go.
"We should leave." Hraken says. "I will go on ahead to scout the path. Blackarrow will have no trouble catching up to us I'm sure."
With that he leaps away, scooping up a javelin from the wagon as he passes by and slings it over his back.
OOC: I'll keep posting over the next few days, but it's likely to be a lot slower because of the holiday. (Nature 9 vs DC8) as requested for leading the caravan. Barely made thar roll

No Problem, I expect everyone to be slower this weekend.
Could you roll 8 nature rolls for Hraken. He would be leading the group so I would think he will make the checks to not loose your way. It is an easy check (unless you fail one and get lost).

Fargrim will walk beside the wagon most, he likes to hike and it keeps him a bit away from the horses.

So would the marching be like below? Maybe Fargrim has a 50/50 chance to be on the wagon or off.

[OOC: So, I'm guessing that's it for Council Meeting Part 2, the Re-Councilling? Did they have anything to say about the further info, other than desperate denials that it could be happening? Any chance of squeezing some more money out of these jamokes?]

He looks around the mostly empty council chamber. "So, hands up; who wants to run for the hills? ...anybody? No? Ah, well, we can't all think ahead of the game." He looks down at the map. What's it of? The Council left does not share Izzy's humor except for the normally calm and cold Lord Troyas who is just cracking up,"Well said friend. We may need to run for the hills. If the hill north did not have the Lich, the hill south did not have the dragon, east have orcs, and west have desert wastes and who knows what. The hills are the last place we can run." Looking at the map of the Elsir Vale they have been looking over Izzy sees they are marking the hobgoblin and goblin movements. They had predicted they would be south west which is the opposite direction of the Witchwoods, Giant Shield mountians, and Rivenroar. Wordwise enters with a few rolls of parchment. "My greetings lords. My friend Morrik was nice enough to mark the path of the goblins and hobgoblins for us." He rolls a map out showing the trail from Brindol to Rivenroar. "Morrik believes his mercenary company is still encamped just north of the Witch Crossing. They refuse to follow their leader into the Baroness lair. Morrik believes they will celebrate this victory heavily so you could catch them in no condition to fight." "Excellent! When Alys returns with forces from Dennovar we attack." the Lord Warden states. Wordwise turns to Izzy and Oloric,"I gave a copy of the map to Fargrim and Hraken, Marik, and Fargrim where heading out of the city gates. You may want to catch them." On the way out Blackarrow drops beside them.

"Heh, those kids, always in a hurry...Yeek! Hey, aren't you somebody famous?" Izzy smirks at Blackarrow. "Can I have your autograph?"
