Malik, after hearing further details, agrees with Hraken. "We must face the greater evil. While I hate goblinkind for their murderous ways, if a lich and her minions are starting to act, then we must act before their plans come to fruition. We should talk with town and inform them. We should let any who are capable join us. Let us gather equipment and all who are willing to head out."

Fiery and Wordwise look to each other. "It has been an honor to fight beside you, but we are not adventurers. We are singers, artists, dancer, and lovers. We fought for the city, but we also bury our friend." Fiery looks to the ground. "I'm just not that guy." Wordwise looks to them with sadness,"I feel my destiny is elsewhere. Good luck to you." Each one reaches to clasps forearms with each of you. Fiery clasps Izzy arm,"Keep yourself safe meat shield. You do know it's okay to leave them to die."

"...yeah, I'm thinking we might want to do a bit of re-negotiating, here." Izzy looks at Morrik. "So, how strong are Sanrith's forces, and what can you tell us about him? We really would like to avoid any possible misunderstandings! Those are always so awkward between new friends."
[OOC: if Hraken's been goblin hunting in the area, he'd probably know how far away this Rivenroar/Witchwood place is, yeah? Would he think that the raiders would have been able to make it back there by now?]

"Sheez, firebug, not in front of the newbs! You don't just TELL people you're gonna leave them to die, that makes it all awkward! You say 'Don't worry, I'm going for help! Stay strong!'" Izzy looks at the rest of the group. "Amateurs, I tell ya..."

Hraken knows the area though no one is normally insane enough to go there. It is 8 to 10 hours if you do not get lost. Since it is just following a river up the mountain it is not a difficult path to follow.

[So, given the current new info, what's the crew wanna do? Go dip ourselves back into the swamp of annoyance that is the council, or stock up on expensive gear and then ditch this place and go sell it somewhere else?]

[So they're probably already there with the kidnapped folks, or close enough that it doesn't matter right now,]

[Malik will want to head to Noel the halfling and to send word to the town we are heading to pay the lich a visit. He will want to move as fast as possible but will not push faster then Hraken wants to go since he will depend on his tracking skills while in the wild. He will look for horses and a warhorse]

[Oloric will not make suggestions and will follow the group. He is deciding what it would take for him to join everyone. Undead don't care to collect loot and he will need a bit of motivation to join. Ka ready to see the next steps.]

[OOC: Well, let's see if Morrik's got anything else in his info-dump panel before we hit the council up again. Malik and Hraken should probably be in charge of overall expedition logistics; if they wanna go over to see Lord Noel and start getting that stuff together while the rest of us go try and squeeze some more cash out of the council, that's cool. Transpo, shelter, and rations; see if you can get us some more healing potions; I'll need some more ammo for my hand crossbow and a couple more daggers; anything else we can think that we'll need? How's Fargrim with undead; the usual cleric schtick?]
"Well, this is escalating pretty quickly. On the one hand, lich equals super-bad news. On the other hand, lich equals super-magic loot. Also, I'm pretty sure that this is the kind of thing that'll let us squeeze the council for a more competitive reward. At the very least, we can scout out the area, see what kind of horrifying doom awaits everyone without the brains to run for the hills. And if we can pull this off, it'd be a heist for the ages!" Izzy looks down at the hobgoblin captive. "So, Morrie, what else can you tell us about Sanrith's forces and how the Baroness got him into this. Did he approach her with this, or did she come to him?"

"She didn't come for him an emissary did. A little grey man who didn't work for her but knew what she wanted and what Sanrith wanted. Sanrith has been talking about his tribe from one side of Klarn to the other. He remembers the day his father fell. He remembers the people who killed him. He always vowed he would bring his people's honor back. The grey man convinced him the Baroness could do it." Morrik states.

As you approach the Guild Street you see a busy group carrying supplies to a wagon in the middle of the way. In the drivers seat is the older halfling Noel calling out orders.
"Tell the Fletcher to gives us whatever he can. Do a round of the Shrines and see what they can provide. Remind them this is their town as well."
You can see when approaching they have stocked the wagon with food, feed, barrels, and kegs. You see spears, daggers, hammers, and tools. Noel seems a man who knows how to outfit a party.
"How did you do with the prisoner? Do we have a direction to point this wagon." Noel asks.
You see Captain Derrius coming down the road leading three horses.

Those who return the Council find most of the citizens are gone leaving a group of soldiers, The High Lord, High Warden, and Troyas looking over a map and a dozen reports.
As you enter the Lord Warden speaks,"How did it go with Morrik. Do you have a lead?"
