Characters Present: Stev (Pilot Speeder A), Scourne (co-pilot) , Tann (Gunner), Vallens (Gunner), Unda (Pilot Speeder B), Pvt Bifzik (Mechanic), Thanis (Gunner), and Biv (Co-pilot)
Equipment:2 landspeeders (standard type not military) , 1 Shoulder Launched Ion cannons (Vallens),1 PLX-2 PML (Scourne),1 CSPL-12 Projectile Launchers (Thanis), 2 e-webs quickly mounted to the landspeeders by Bifzik and tied into it's power cell for unlimited power), 5 Frag grenades,5 smoke grenades, 1 Splat Grenades, 1 stun grenade, 2 incendiary grenades, 3 large empty lockers tied to the back of each landspeeder to hold any supplies found, lunch for the trip.
Mission: Scout out the region around the former penitentiary. find some additional medical supplies, defuse any bombs discovered, repress enemy combatants.

As the landspeeders approach from the north, Stev sees the top of a ship over the buildings. He thinks to himself that these are probably the slavers, and they'll need more information on them before they can get to the prisoners. He stops his landspeeder and tells Unda to do likewise.
"I'm going to scout out that ship before we have a problem with it. I'll comm in when I've gotten a rough estimate of the number of men and level of equipment we're dealing with. Until then, everyone continue to patrol the area and look for supplies, but keep a wide berth from the ship. We can't allow the team to be seen until we want to be seen. If we spook them too early, they could just cut and run, or worse, fire up whatever weapons that ship has and end our mission very quickly."
Stev then pulls out his climbing kit and scales the buildings northeast of the ship, and then quietly proceeds southwest towards it. He's in range with his suit's scanners, and the slavers don't see a thing.
Mechanics: Athletics Check 3P2A vs 3D. Net result 1 triumph 1 success 1 advantage. Advantage die used in stealth roll. Stealth Check vs Perception 3P1A2B vs 2D. Net result 6 succeses 2 advantages. The advantages will be converted into a boost die for somebody to use later.

Your speeders enter the area at the northeast corner of the map. Stev climbs the building just before you at the Northeast corner and will begin to scan. It will take him a little time to make the roof of the apartment building that at one time housed many of the prison guards. As he climbs he see through the windows of the apartment burnt out rooms and the husks of bodies. Many of the apartment must have caught fire with the gas leaks and citizens would first have succumbed to the gas itself or been burnt alive. It is a horrifying scene climbing from one balcony to another.
What does everyone do in Speeder 1 and Speeder 2 as he climbs? Do you want to go east and one to go south? You are 250m from the first bomb.

Let's have both speeders head towards the first bomb, with speeder A leading. Everyone should be keeping an eye out for any hostiles or surprises while they're heading to the location. Could they use Sivu's trick for detecting the stealthed snipers as well?
As they head to the next location, Vallens is complaining about having their commanding officer leave and go on comm silence at the very start of the mission, but Biv points out that it's just how things work when your boss is also your forward scout.

As Stev takes to the climbing the building to get eyes on the spaceship Scourne takes over at pilot of the first speeder (The Funvee). Tann slides in to the front seats beside her and uses her rifle to scan the building tops and they go slowly down the alley south of the building Stev is climbing and toward the bomb. Vallens (Gunner) is locked into the makeshift gunner seat right in front of the dorsal engine of the speeder. With him in that position you not be pulling any fancy maneuvers, but you will have an e-web ready to fire. It seems a good trade off. "So first he walks out of the meeting and now he's leaving us to go climbing. I'm not sure this boy is ready for command." Vallen comments.
"He reminds me of many a lieutenant I served under," Scourne states,"They where all naive and now are all dead."
"At least he looks cute in his armor," Tann scans Stev's backside as he climbs then returns to the task at hand.
The second speeder (the humdrumvee)is less than happy to be following Unda is piloting with his repeating blaster sticking out the side. No one is sure how he would manage to pilot and fire, but he seems confident in himself. "I pick my tusks with boys like that."
Biv in the co-pilot seat nods agreement,"I've been scouting since that boy was wetting his big boy pants. Think you would have the scout you know scout and the commander command."
Thanis in the gunner seat leans down to the others,"I think he is still wetting his big boy pants."
The three laugh as Pvt Bifzik tries to be unnoticed.
Turning the corner south the speeders bump over a rough patch in the road and enter a wider 2 lane back road between a wing of the partially bombed hospital east and a building with storefronts at the lowest level and 3 levels of apartments. The bomb is right at the intersection.
Stev makes it to the roof and plods to the other side keeping his head down. He begins scanning the area and notes that armed humaniods are hiding on the roof of the building west of the speeders and on the hospital wing east. There are more on the building just west of the first bomb. He can count 4 on the hospital, can't tell how many are behind the roof access area of the other building, and the building just west of the bomb have 4 with a PML.
As you see this the second speeder passes the rough patch on the road and the rough patch explodes under them. (2 highest characters aiding each other just where not vigilant enough). The second speeders frame is bent and it's rear is breached with a large hole (3 Hull damage of 4). The ship is destabalized (4D to repair) only able to barely scrap above the surface. The empty lockers go flying off the back as does Bifzik (4 wounds). Thanis is tossed prone (1 wound) on the speeder and his e-web gun mount is tilted off keel. Und and Biv each take a little shrapnel but neither is more than scratched (1 wound).
The first Speeder react to the blast with precision. Actions part of initiative. The second Speeder crew are reacting a little slower, so please have the 1st speeder move first. Stev should be last because he arrives right as the bomb blows. Until they are fired on the team will not know where the shooter are. Stev may use a free action at the beginning of the turn to inform and command his group.

"We have hostiles on the rooftops! They're on buildings west of the speeders, west of the bomb, and on the east hospital wing. The west of bomb troops have a PML! Somebody pull Bifzik back on, then go through the alleyways to the east and avoid their fire! I'll work my way through the rooftops and take out as many as I can, just go east, stay safe, and see if Speeder A can take out the 4 men on the hospital roof. Prioritize your safety first, and the elimination of the enemies second. I don't care if your shots are almost impossible as long as theirs are as well. And, by the Force, keep on the alert for any more mines!"
Mechanics: Leadership Check 2A1B (boost from prior roll) vs 2D. Net result 3 successes 1 advantage. Whoever makes the next check can use the boost.

Slot 1: Vallens turns the E-Web and fires on the PML. It's not going to be firing any time soon.
Mechanics: Gunnery check 2P1B vs 2D1S. Net result 1 Triumph. They're all dead.
Slot 2: Scoryn still thinks the boy's naïve, but he's not stupid, so she'll follow orders this time. She flies south and into the east alleyway, giving them some space and cover from the PML.
Mechanics: Pilot (Planetary) Check 2P2A vs 3D. Net result 1 triumph 3 successes 2 threats.

Round One 2 PC Vallen leaves the top of the building before them a burning wreck killing all of the slavers and destroying the PML.
Scourne takes the corner easily and pulls into the space between the main hospital and this wing. She in the shadows a lot of humaniod bones that have been gnawed clean by some kind of beast.
2 GM The Rodian squad on the one building fire down on the damaged speeder as the group of Duros on the hospital get a prone position and fire down at the speeder's passengers as well. The Rodians fail to strike Thanis the nearest bolts bounce off his mandolorian chest plate Thanis shoots a quick burst that grazes one of the Rodians(1 wound for 1 failure). The Duros have greater success on Unda. They strike him with a number of bolts (8 damage to the Aqualish gunman).

1 PC Thanis tires of standing in the middle of the street being shot at. He sees the secured doorway of the hospital wing, aims the e-web at it and blows the door open. He pulls his pistols as he moves into the doorway calling for the rest of the crew to follow. 1 GM The Human on the roof with the Rodians readies his rifle and targets Unda. He misses but puts a series of bolts into the speeder taking out the repulsorlift. The speeder drops to the ground with a loud thud. 2 PC 2 GM 3 PC

Bifzik's more than happy to not be in the line of fire, so he quickly gets up and rushes into the hospital.
Unda's more interested in getting a bit of vengeance first. He lets off a volley of fire into the Duros that attacked him, obliterating any of them he can reach. Unfortunately, the ferocity of his repeater surprised even him, so the recoil causes the repeater to bash into his gut as he's firing. Then he heads into the hospital for cover.
Mechanics: Ranged (Heavy) Check 3P1A vs 4D1S. Net result 1 triumph 2 successes 2 threats. Unless the GM wants to use those for something, Unda'll take 2 strain.

2 PC Bifzik shakes out his head and follows the big guy to cover in the building. Unda takes out 3 of 4 Duros on the roof. 2 GM Seeing his men down the human takes a run into the rooftop access of the building. You not sure where he went.
From the roof of the hospitals access door come a group of humaniods. They are all dressed in the same torn tattered light blue jumpsuits without shoes and just makeshift weapons. They pounce on the last Duros and his already dead buddies. The Duros goes down under the mass of 30 "people" who then begin dragging their bodies back toward the roof access. Stev notes many are licking the blood off their fingers. The Duros is screaming as they are pulling him away.
Bifzit and Thanis slide in next to the doorway looking out at the combat when they notice the rush of bodies in the darkness at them. Thanis takes out three will well placed opportunities to attack the running creatures. They are then grabbed pulled down and dog piled by the group. The groups are biting them which does not penetrate Thanis armor but Bifzit exoskeleton is being painfully cracked by the crazed cannibal patients jaws. (4 wounds Bifzit) Both restrained Thanis (1D 2 setback) Bifzit (2D 4 setback) athletic checks to break free. The athletic check is the maneuver not the action for them.
From the broken windows with bars hanging bent crawl CCPs encircling your speeder holding broken glass, metal bars, and bedpans for weapons.

Biv sees the patients heading towards him and immediately wishes that he wasn't the only one in the speeder. He jumps into the e-web chair and sprays fire at the cannibals. "Guys, opening up that hospital was a very bad idea!"
Mechanics: Gunnery Check 3A vs 3D1S. Net result 1 success 3 advantages.
Tann can't see much, but thinks that firing at the people eating the Duros is probably a good idea. She fires off a few shots and seems to be scaring the group into submission. Hopefully they won't join their comrades downstairs.
Mechanics: Ranged (Light) Check 2P2A vs 3D1S. Net result 1 triumph 2 successes.
Stev really, REALLY wants to chase down that human, but his loyalty to the crew takes precedence over his personal desires. He swings on the rappel line that he just used and rolls into the hospital. He doesn't have time to pull out his blades, so he dives at the mass attacking Bifzik with a flying kick, palm strikes two on either side of him, and then lands a half spin kick at one that moved behind him. He begins yelling "Come on! Can't you handle some canned meat?!" in order to goad the enemy to attack him.
Mechanics: Discipline Check 4A vs 4D. Net result 2 successes. Athletics Check 3P2A vs 4D. Net result 1 triumph 2 successes 1 advantage. Applying advantage to attack roll. Brawl Check 2P3A1B vs 3D. Net result 1 triumph 2 successes 4 advantages. Damage is 10 per hit after advantages, with each hit striking a different patient and a maximum of 4 hits. Not sure for the taunt...going with Presence Check 2A vs 1D. Net result 1 success 1 advantage.
