"Sir, got it, I will make sure an after action report is filed." Chief Kudar has Synar come to the bridge and they link up a few others at the auxiliary bridge. Kudar outlines the plans and timeline. Hour of planning of what will transpire and getting crew ready, 3 hours of drills with two hour of painful debrief and after action. Next seven hours on corrective action, crew rest/prep and ready for coming out of jump. First is some basic cross coordination, Engineering, bridge, hanger, weapons. Kudar explains in detail how most battles unfold from running into picket scouts of TIEs to how a small fleet of escorts and star destroyer move and operate together. The crew sees no bluster in his analysis, just cold calculations the Duros are known for and they note he speaks from first hand knowledge. One of the ensigns asks about the red studs he only says capital ships from my past. Several data recorders and droids record all, the holo map up Kudar moves icons around and shows some basic tactics. How to run the mynock, slash, pull, hit and fade, drop and goes, the list gets long. The explanation of how important each function on ship is, the sensors, scans, spoofing, fakes, deception, using astral bodies, anomalies, derelicts, transponders, power consumption, repairs, shields, flight, reports, medical and even logistics, they pause when he mentions the vital functions droids perform. He explains how to have positions and ranges to advantage, how fighters work with and how to defeat, how to keep the advantage. Targeting priorities and what we need to target first on several classes, what will be targeted on us. How boarding actions go, where they will hit us at. Hours into all this the officers lounge has to many people for Kudars liking in it. The strain of some crew not understanding basic functions and others having what they say is years of knowledge strains his patience. They need to work and trust each other. Kudar tries to explain this as well as he can, the less experienced crew thinks it is great and the older begrudge that they should have to pay dues like they did. Kudar wants to give them easy to remember way for any and all, just happens that war is not easy. He gives them his steps he teaches to his gunners and ops. He thinks only the pilots and maybe the bridge will be able to use or in boarding actions. With a deep breath he explains the Kudar steps. Some one remarks what about the "R" that is only four steps, his reply repeat or reconstitute if battle is done. The crew stares at the chart he shows them, one of the doctors exclaims you are a doctor of gunnery. The crew laughs. Kudar knows he has given to much, he tells them dismissed and get to work they can review more later. They have a jump about ready to be completed and they need to be ready.

Krudar looks through the crowd of young faces of green crew members in the officer lounge (place big enough for the meeting) and picks out the older faces whose eyes reflect a battle hardness. Thyte, Colton, and Taska Roan on the bridge. Will Synar and the pilots who will be in cockpit all look veteran. Your Gunners are a mix of experienced hardened NCOs and the young Ensigns. The group that troubles you as you try to rest in your bunk (now moved over the officer quarters) is if the bridge crew are ready for the task.

Kudar formulates a plan in his mind about integrating the bridge to work as a team with rest of ship. He had some experience while running ions, tractors and missile/torpedo tubes from the bridge before, different type of ships and different crews but he had seen some nice drills to build on. He wondered about Boom and the several other crew members that had departed for the mission. There would more training to do when they got back aboard. He wished for more time and non-hostile space to train them as good as he could. He would get a few hours of shut eye then try to hit up the ships computer to see if there were files from past battles or cruises, he had concentrated on the gunnery before but saw the need of the crew to be trained and it worried him.
Kudar drifted off to visions of Twi'leks dancing in his head.

Kudar wakes from his sleep with a few hours to go. As he gets ready to make his way to the fresher he spies a magazine. Well well officers berthing does have its perks. He flips open the mag, right to a very nice layout. That reminds him to hurry along and see if his favorite Comm O is busy, he will come back to the magazine later.

"Real Space in 3..2..1..mark," Thyte counted down posted behind the sensors post instead of his normal astrogation. He could not wait the milliseconds for information to transfer from sensors to the general boards. He needed to know what they were jumping into now.
"Sir, We are picking up a group of 4 TIE Fighters and a derelict ship in short range. Deeper sensor reading will be in shortly." Lilith stated all business.
"Shields up be ready for any Thyte." Captain Ciro was searching the screens and the main viewport. Kolatill and here moons are 6,000 klicks away and looked peaceful. A beautiful planet in greens and blues. "Launch defenders, power weapons." -------
The command to power weapons was relayed long after weapons were already armed and seeking targets. Krudar checked the TIEs transmitter and found them to be the Kolatill Defense Force TIEs acquired in the revolution.
"Nothing topside Chief?" The voice of Potshot came over coms,"We are ready to dance and can't find a partner." --------
"Captain call coming from the planet surface. It is from the leader of the Kolatill Defense Force. Another call is coming from Ambassador Thane." Lilith waited for which he would want patched through first.
"Give me the KDF leader on main screen and tell Thane to hold." Ciro straighted his tunic. ________
"Thane you must be joking. You want me to do what?" Ciro took the KDF leader's greetings with grace. Thane's description of events cut into the 2 hour travel to Kolatill. It was sounding like things were heading in the right direction. Then came the fund raiser charity event he was to help host. "I'm not diplomat and I'm not an actor. I don't do speeches and have never heard of Hydia Jomwell."
"She is the bomb, uhmm Sir," Ensign Hydain starts enthused and ends by sticking is down into his workstation.
"You are sure this is the only way to achieve the objective?" Ciro asks the diplomat.
"Positive sir," Thane states,"We have secured the area and will have representatives from every noble house."
"Send a shuttle up for me when you are prepared. Ciro out."
Ciro watches the defender wing swing around the ship and wishes he was pilot, engineer, anything but the captain.

Slyer sits in the captain's chair and watches Thyte eyeball each bridge member making sure they are paying more attention to their posts than the holonet feed of the Domaz Stand Tall celebration. He notes amany a side comment and sneer when the Karadol representative makes his speech.
"Like Sarne would not just take right over the moment we leave and they stand on their own." Hydan calls out then shrivels under Thyte's glare.

Slyer gets the status on all fighters, double checks the patrol sectors and makes sure the TIEs are deconflicted by being planet side. Receives full status on sensors, shields, weapons and engineering. Looks at Thyte do you have a couple of rally mini jumps programmed to fighters and us in case we have something we can not handle come in? Have you made a rally point for us to link up with our ground forces as well if we all have to vacate this area? Sensors I need to know if we have scans or patrols that have been in blind spots around moons, bodies and planet. Do not mess with our fighter cap around defense of ship to so this. Slyer is happy to give some basic commands to the crew and feels at ease at the helm. He knows he needs to get a report and visit to medical to make sure his special cargo is doing fine but it can wait.

Sensor station goes red light as Ensign Roan calls out. "Commander something is coming through the jump point. It is just developing the singularity but should be passing into real space in 10 minutes."
The FarStar is 20 minutes from the jump point in orbit around Kolatill. Alpha and Omega are patrolling around FarStar and could be at the Jump Point in 10 minutes. The Defenders are patrolling the planet. Aegis is at the starport just east of the park/stage.

Have Alpha go look at it, they need to pull up just short and make sure they have a clear path back to us. Could be nothing or knowing that the entire sector knows of the event it will be the imps. We need to protect more towards this planet so we can have a unified attack/defense.

As the alerts begin to go off and combat preparations are made, Lodor hurries to gunnery and, after learning his assignment, takes position at Dorsal Quad 3.
"Boss, while I wish it wasn't under threat of imminent death, I'm glad to be back. By the way, congrats on the promotion, we all knew you deserved it. Now, let's get ready to blast some Imps. I'll be ready at your command."

Ciro and his squad thrust forward leaving Keeg's squad orbiting the planet. Krayt and the astromechs have full scan running. The droid detects that it is one singularity a capital ship sized jump. "I bet good credits that's the Bad Omen." Ranna states gleefully. Ciro thinks about the 48 TIEs it carries compared to the 4 of them and doesn't see the reason to be gleeful.

Slyer will transmit the range, expected size (Dark omen), best guess on time to deploy TIE's and what number types it carries, making sure planet side and squadrons know (Warfare 3G). If there is any known weak spots they can target early and expected arrive time for TIE and Bombers to planet side.
Squadrons, if this is the Dark Omen I anticipate the planet is the final objective, you have priority in intercepting anything that can deliver a virus planet side thinking bombers. If possible target the the launch hanger to prevent the ties from launching if able.
We need to hit as hard and fast as possible when it emerges, want both squadrons and the FarsStar to move to engage. Weapons need to know how long it will be until we are at max range and can engage.
"FarStar, battle stations, prepare to engage." If I can pass leadership check for bonus would be nice.
(Occ if Krudar is on ship he can help with gunnery or how long we could last or what to hit on ship, if planet side he needs to get gun up on Muvon to be ready to engage)

Krudar is on the ship at his post ready to go. The Jump Point is 900,000km away you best turbolaser has a listed ranged of 128km (6d) though Krudar or Pot-Luck could take a shot at 256km (7d), 512km ( ), 1,024km (9d) the turbo lasers can actually do good damage to a capital ship. Heavy laser cannons have a 25km (6d), 50km (7d), 100km ( ), 200km (9d) range and their damage is vehicle level and can take out fighters, small craft, and possibly damage a capital ship. Thyte has the torpedo launcher under his control. They move at 10G and would reach the jumppoint in 4 minutes. Normal ranges end at 32km (6d), 64km (7d), 128km ( ), 256km (9d). You would not stand a chance at hitting something 900,000km away except for the guided chance to hit after the miss. Ciro squad is currently about 700,000km from the point. Keeg's squad is 800,000km from the point. The defender squad will be in orbit in 2 minutes. You are T-minus 8 minutes to the arrival at the jump point.

At his post Krudar receives a message from the bridge. It is Lilith leaning close to the cam and speaking quietly. Krudar can't help but enjoy the leaning close part but then sees the look of concern on her face. "Chief, your going to keep us safe? I'm scared chief but I know you will keep us safe. I don't want to die out in the void." She looks at you with large pleading eyes looking for comfort.

Slyer looks at the ships CPU to see what they know about the Dark Omen.
"The Captain of the Bad Omen is a human named Captian Richien Himmler. He is a bad one. He crews say he is half duros due to his small stature and cold way of destroying opponents. He is known to use any means to assure victory and understands the military effectiveness of terror." from the ships acquisition specialist. Other than being listed as a imperial escort carrier nothing is logged. (try for warfare 3G to see if he knows more?)
Bridge what is the deployment time for a Escort Carrier to drop off TIEs and bombers?
Continue to make as fast as possible speed to the area.
