The ring does not seem to work for Oloric, "I think we should get out of here before we end up dead" he says.

Izzy grabs the ring back and mutters something under his breath about "how can you not make a ring work you shiny doofus" and goes back to piling rocks. Can we at least keep the pathway to the portal clear? Also, did Olly close the portal?

Oloric closed it since we had blocked the path long enough to hold the lava I think

Fargrim pulls up a stone, drops it on his foot and spend the rest of the time cursing and rubbing his toes.
Oloric (if he agrees) spiderclimbs up and pounds the wedged stone with arcane might three times before it finally cracks and breaks. With a loud scrape that echoes through the room the stone door slides almost fully closed. Rubble left over is stopping it from fully closing but the progress rate for the flow is maybe 1 foot of lava per minute.
While he does that the rest of the group continue to create a breaker wall for the current lava. Your wall cuts from the gate to the south passage and should stop the lava for at least a half day before it starts to flow over the top.
The soldiers and the Eye of Grummish bodies are on your side the rest of the orc and dwarf and burning in the lava covered floor.

Scratch the above. Oloric is unable to attune to the ring immediately and will to short rest to attune himself to the ring.

After the first round of building you have half of a 3 foot high wall with lava starting to splash against the northern edge. Oloric is trying to awaken the inner spider of the ring but is not successful. Izzy is whispering in his ear to be the spider, be the spider. Fargrim is rubbing his toes and the rest are tossing rocks from the southern pile like mad. Malik is tossing and uncovers the body of a dwarf crushed under the rock.
Olly did close the portal. The flames of the lava die down a little with the fresh air being cut off. Half the room is lava covered and it will cross into your area in 2 to 6 rounds. Lava will fill the room in the next minute or so. next round

Izzy finally grabs the ring back from Olly, giving him the stinkeye. "You've got no spider in you at all, man. No sir." He looks around and sighs. "Guess we're stuck here, folks! Everybody grab a corpse and let's skedaddle before we're toast!" He grabs the Eye of Grummish and drags it towards the open hall.

Ooc: what are our options at this point? Run down the corridor?

Sorry I am just returning from vacation. You see the rough corridor south abd no other exit. You have half a wall of rocks which will slow the flow but the corridor does sloop down so it will speed up a little on the downhill.

The lava continues to flow. The pile of stones and the half wall does slow it's movement. Fargrim, Rhal and Malik each carry a body. Fargrim has the eye of grummish, Rhal an Orc Soldier, and Malik the dwarf body found under the rubble. Malik notes the dwarf wear a fine garment of hardened leather. It is decorated with the symbols of Moradin. He has a belt of armorer's tools and a type pf visor hanging around his neck. The Eye of Grummish has a belt with a larger bag attached to it. The soldier has banded mail, a halberd, and a half dozen javelins strapped to his back. The corridor travels for 100 feet the forks into three directions.

The passage to the left begins to level off and you note the lava seems to be flowing mostly to the central passage. As you move down the passage the walls begin to be overlaid in a marble on top of the rougher walls of the cave. The marble is carved in dwarven runes and symbols. Fargrim and Malik easily recognize them as passages from the Tablets of Moradin. Fargrim notes they are always more impressive carved into stone the way dwarf writing should be presented. The paper of his prayer book just does not do the words justice. As he begins to express this Izzy shushes him to silence. The passage opens to an archway that leads to a large room. Sneaking forward the rouge sees a chapel with long wooden pews, dwarven statues, an alter emblazoned with Mordin's symbol and a load of orcs lazily cheering on a massive troll. At the troll's feet is the bodies of an adventuring party Izzy only vaguely remembers from the party just a night ago. An elf monk, thief, female warrior, female sorceress, and a shirtless bard lay dead in the Troll's shadow. "Kill him agains Mosh." an orc calls out. "crush his skull again." The troll grins a toothy drooling grin and steps on the bard's head smashing it flat. He then stands over him waiting. "Blimey Mosh I thinks hims part troll." and Orc expresses as he pulls on the bard's flamboyant purple tunic. The bard's head begins to swell back up his skull mending slowly as they watch. The Troll waits till you hear a faint breath and steps on the head again. Izzy counts 2 orc archers, 1 troll named Mosh, and 7 orc drudges. 3 of the drudges are sleeping in the pews.

Those are not your positions. I am just showing the side you would enter from. Right now you are 40' down the corridor and Izzy is crouched down by the doorway scouting it out. You are still holding bodies.

OOC: Is that large curtain on the bottom of the map really there? I'm not sure why an underground room would need a curtain, unless it's to conceal surprise reinforcements.
Delrin grits his teeth as he overhears the voices echoing through the tunnel. He couldn't see what was happening yet, but based on the delight the troll and orc were expressing, it was likely disgusting and horrific. He quietly readies his bow, and, not wanting to accidentally give Izzy away, waits for a signal to move ahead.
Stealth (If we don't need it now, we will soon. Also, w/disadvantage): 27/22, so 22. Losing crits because of disadvantage is always sad.
