Mission 1: Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter

Kaiya gives him the pike back."We will need all the help we can get. Quinlan will be in charge of the for lack of a better term "Jedi" Task Force. The security and Field ops under Scourne and Kl'aal will secure the gate on this side and the other side. The Task force will be to point of our spear on Aariss. Your mission will be to find and stop Sarne in any way possible. QuinLan you must understand this. If we can not save the vessel from Sarne he must be destroyed before the Prophet can inhabit him. I know you all have connections to the vessel." Her mind flashes back to her children and her husband again."Sometimes in war you need to sacrifice for the greater good. Do you all understand this?"

Quinlan turns his eyes still yellow rimmed with red,"I will not allow my son to be consumed by the void. What is beyond that gate is beyond light and darkness. I believe it will take and darkness to see it stopped. Maybe the prophesy was wrong about Skywalkers being the balance between light and dark to stop the void. Maybe we are the balance." He looks from Stev to Invictus, from Tevan to Mikal and Jen. "or we must be the balance. We don't have a Skywalker to swoop in and save us."

Stev finds the priest a beaten group.

The gate slides open rippling with the image of the other side. You can see the buried metallic city of Aariss known as the Place of Kaystas. The broken dome is glowing with flickering light.

Standing before the gate is a black robed figure with his back to you. He is far shorter than Locain or even Stev. He stands looking back and forth finally drawing and igniting a green bladed light saber with a black gloved hand. Beside him is a astromech that whistles and whirls at the gate. The figure turns to the gate backing up and pulling his lightsaber into a defensive form.

"FarStar, Then I must be in the Kathol Sector." His lightsaber is doused and his hand is quickly offered to Stev,"I'm Commander Luke Skywalker of Rouge Squadron. Where are we and what is the situation report? I was investigating the Jedi Temple of Coresant when I found this gate deep within the core of the temple. I opened and I could feel a presence, a hungry emptiness in the force coming from the gate."

Quinlan Voss steps in behind Stev,"A Skywalker dared to step on the stones of the temple his father left bloodied and in flames? What where you looking for child of Vader?"

Skywalker's saber leaps back into his hand before you have a chance to shake it,"You are strong in darkness and light. What is you name master?"

"It is not your business Skywalker." Quin's blades are in each hand and are raised into a ready position.

Quinlan looks to Stev then to the young Skywalker. "Extend you hands Skywalker." Quin douses his blades and walks to Skywalker. The legendary hero of Yavin, destroyer of two Deathstars, and Jedi Master doesn't look to be much older than Stev himself. He seems to be listening to something else then he extends open hands. Quin takes him hands and closes his eyes. He reads every moment of pain of anguish Luke has experienced since gaining his new hand. He reads his conflict and final triumph over the Emperor."You are not your father's son. Hopefully my children will not be mine. Follow me." QuinLan begins to stride through the ancient city.

Skywalker is left standing looking from Stev to Invictus," I guess I pass the test. I was researching a "force monstrosity" my father faced while in the Kathol Reach. It was stated in the report of his encounter that force beings of great power asked him to join with them in keeping a balance in the force. I believe he was to keep this creature at bay. I have only heard of the legend of Revan. It was said he traveled into the Kathol Sector also searching for the source of a great evil. As far as I know he never returned. The only thing I know of Darkstryder tech is what I have read in your intelligence reports."

OOC: Just to clarify, who is currently active/present in this mission? A little bit of a roll call could help with organization.

Guthar moves next to Gammer and Samarion,"This is Gree design as are you friend Samarion. From the configuration this would be a Gree colony ship. From them Gree would create life forms and seed planets with them."

Gammer looks from one to the other,"Okay, It's drinkin time." He pulls his flask.

Invictus didn't bother correcting Stev, instead looking to Skywalker and the others with equal amounts of apathy echoed in his eyes. He shook his head to let hair spill out. "What exactly is our plan?" He asked once the holocron finished.
