Invictus assessed the threat and quickly raised his hand. "This may kill you!" He snapped as he gripped one of them with the Force in hopes of taking them out of the fight. ((2F, 2 Dark, 1 Light Activating the power upgrade.)) He was... understandably livid.

Vic crushes one of the Darkforce users who lays helpless on the ground. Stev, Tevan, and Quinlan feel the wave of hatred coming in the force. The CUTHBERT computer speaks,"This resistance is futile. You are unable to effect mission outcomes. This is not a logical action in the face of assured destruction."

Vulture Fighters go back to flying at the last course as Battledroids halt mid-action. Ranna and the fighters begin cutting down anything they see just be sure. In the city the House Shador security forces have taken control and the last of any Imperial forces lay dead or dying. Quinlan slows himself in the force and pulls the crystal creating a bridge for himself in crystal and begins rushing back to the platform. The Muvon is out of sight rushing straight up. Only Brophar, T3, a Jarrel, and Gorak left inside. The crystalped extends spikes at Amura piercing his skin. The Cathar growls and snaps the crystals as he continues to dig with the warstaff. He is dripping blood from multiple wounds as he continues the fight. Invictus quickly bolted in the direction Locain disappeared in. He moved with purpose, as quickly as the exoskeleton allowed. "I am in pursuit of Locain. He dies today."

Sivu comms the team "The crystalline structures are vulnerable to all vibroweapons. If you can continue to dig your weapons into the structures, I can enlarge the wounds to the point of shattering the enemy. The more wounds in place, the faster it will shatter." He then shifts his communication specifically to the Muvon and orders "Chief Tofarain, you are acting irregularly. Please respond to verify that your ship has not been commandeered by the virus or the undesirable passengers."
Meanwhile, he searches for controls to any sonic weapons that could be mounted to the ship. If none are present, he will attempt to use the PA system as a weapon as he searches the cargo for a sonic device.
----
Hearing Sivu's message, Lodor sighs. "Well, I guess they can't make it easy, can they? Here goes nothing!" He draws his vibroknife and jumps from his platform, digging it into the crystals as he slowly slides down, cutting a somewhat shallow line down the structure.
Mechanics: Melee Check 2P1A vs 2D. Net result 1 success 1 advantage. I'm not sure if he needs another check to keep from falling too fast, so I'll save that boost for if he does. Also, he takes 2 strain since he had to draw the knife.
----
Since the crystalpede was being distracted, Tevan takes the opportunity to move to where his brother and sister fell. He lays a hand on each of them, pumping light side energy into their bodies in the hopes of rousing them. As he does this, he explains "I'll try to get everybody back up. The more people we have fighting, the better.
Mechanics: Force Heal Check 2FR. Result 3LP. Activating the basic power and the magnitude upgrade to heal 2 targets 3 wounds each.
----
Stev very much regrets that he had to leave all his vibroweapons on the Muvon to cut weight for the jetpack, but there wasn't anything to do about that now. With Lodor vacating the platform, Stev can focus his powers inwards once again, alleviating his pain as the Force breathes new life into him. For a moment, he thinks about chasing after Vic to lend a hand, but he knows he has to prioritize dealing with this beast, so he can't do much more than hope the Force was with Vic on this one, and that they could hopefully catch up to lend a hand afterwards.
He rises from his kneeling position, and, hearing Tevan's plan, he comms to Sigurd "Doc, can you get down here soon? The command crew's all here, but they were a bit banged up. I'd advise bringing lots of stims."

Sivu notes the Gthroc lacks a external PA system. His message recieves no response to the Muvon. Moving to the cargo holds he sees Gunther, Quesya, and Boom are passing out vibroaxes to the last 2 Jarrels with your group. Quesya looks to Sivu as he arrives,"Can the ship move? We need to get inside not outside." ---
Vic jetpacks over the wall and finds no trace of Locain. He rushes down the hallway and still finds nothing. It is as if he was just swallowed up by the ship.
---
Lodor lands on the crystal beast his blade slides in and begins to fracture the creature.
---
Mikal and Jessa stand beside Tevan and look up at the twisting creature menacing the group.
---
Dr. Sigurd responds from the Gthroc,"I'm a little shaken myself. I'm heading fro the cockpit to see if we can get what is left of this vessel moving. Repulsors should at least get us on your side."
---
Gammer grabs Slyer and the two land on the creatures back each digs in 2 vibroblades.
---
Quinlan makes it back to the platform and extends his hand force lightning rushes from it coursing over the cpu of Cuthbert. The system is fused making sure it will never be restored.
The Fighters finish off the Vultures that remain as clonetroopers and soldiers play shoot the statues with the battledroids.
The crystal creature is looking ready to shatter. The power of the force creature beneath is growing faint.
"It is to late you cannot stop the coming of the prophet." The voice gloats in the mind of the force users.

Sivu looks to the others and says "Very well. Locate any sonic weapons in the cargo hold and prepare them for use. They will be the swiftest manner of ending this threat."
As Sivu settles into the cockpit, he can't help but feel hesitant. While he had a general idea of how to pilot a starship, he hadn't exactly had an opportunity to practice his piloting while locked up in Sarne's dungeon. However, none of the crewpersons currently present were more qualified to pilot, and they were all far more qualified to fight, so it was the only sensible plan of action.
While he attempts to fly the Gthroc into the chamber, he opens up comms with the nearby starfighter squads and orders "New Republic Pilots, the Muvon is acting irregularly and is not responding to hails. It is possible that its systems could have been overtaken by either a lingering virus or a mutiny headed by Gorak Khzam, traitor to the New Republic, with the assistance of an energy-resistant Jarell thug. I am requesting immediate intervention to prevent the Muvon from jumping to hyperspace and for us to confirm allied forces have control of the vessel. I repeat, I request IMMEDIATE intervention."
Mechanics: Piloting (Space) Check 3A vs ?. Gross result 2 successes 1 advantage. This could be bad.
----
As he swings on the back of the beast, all Lodor can do is hold on for dear life and hope that he somehow manages to survive this. In a last attempt at bravado, he calls out to the creature "You know, shiny, now's a great time to call it quits! How 'bout you just break apart and let everybody move on with their lives? All you're doing is wasting your time anyways!"
----
Tevan quickly explains "We can control the crystal too. Help them." as he moves over to Noel Ciro. As he pours the healing power of the Force into the pilot's body, he can't help but remember how Noel's brother, Captain Ciro, had seen the troopers cloaked by Darkstryder tech when he was abducted. With any luck, that meant that the absent Captain was Force Sensitive, so maybe his brother was too. At this point, they could use every person gifted in the Force they can get.
Mechanics: Force Heal Check 2FR. Result 1LP 2DP.
----
Since Que's lightsaber didn't seem to do much to help and he didn't have any vibroweapons on him, Stev decides that there's only one way for him to help take this crystal beast apart. He charges at one of the already cracked sections and quickly clips his lightsaber in favor of thrusting his fist into a crack and ripping it open further. If that didn't work, he could always start pulling with his mind again, but he wasn't too confident in his ability to stay conscious without the sustaining power of the Force.
Mechanics: Brawl Check 2P3A vs 2D. Net result 3 successes 2 advantages. That's 10 damage, and he's using the advantages for the free maneuver to holster the saber.

Sivu floats up over the crystal creature and the massive Gunther and Quesya leap onto the creature. It is smashed to the floor by Gunther and then broken in two by Quesya. The pieces shatter beneath the group of vibro weapons.
Noel'e eyes flutter as he then quickly raises his blaster. Tevan needs to duck as it fires over his head. (being short helps sometime).
Stev finds a destroyed creature by the time he acts.
Sivu call is taken by the fighters,"We will scan and begin pursuit." Ranna responds.
"Any pursuit will end in the death of Captain Brophar," The voice of Gorak cuts into the comms. "If you do not wish him dead do not follow."
You stand in a moment of quiet. The group looks toward Stev and Slyer.

((OOC: For the record, this is all Stev's fault. Vandal and Invictus wanted him dead. D:< ))
Invictus calmly looked up, jetpacking over the wall. Gorak was fortunate that he was not heard, if only by merit of his victim on the ground. "...I am going to kill him." He said very cooly. "I am going to rip off his eyelids and leave him under lights until his eyeballs shrivel like prunes, and then dig them out with a spoon..." His tone was easy, calm even. Unsettlingly so. "Afterwards, I am going to have a nice, long chat whoever thought it was a good idea to leave a prisoner unattended, unsedated and unguarded. You--ARGH! How do you---what kind of amate--what kind of a buffoon is the chief of security?! This is laughable!" Invictus snapped, finally letting his colors show before he kicked it into high gear and hit his thrusters. He figured that he should have a small enough thermal profile that the Muvon would have difficulties picking it up. He couldn't care less if Brophar died, Gorak just put himself on his to-do list.

OOC: I'm still impressed that Gorak managed to talk the Jarell guarding him to work for him AGAIN. Either that, or the behemoth got beaten by a one-armed Rodian, but I'm inclined to believe the first story. Also, I'll bust out a Destiny Point for this check, because if it fails, things could get messy.
Stev stands still and opens up the comm to reply to Gorak. He starts speaking relatively calmly, with a touch of tension. "Gorak, this is Stev. You know, the one who sliced your arm off. Look, you have to know this situation can't end well for you. You're in a ship that's about to break apart at the seams, you've just come out of a bacta coma, and somehow you're trying to threaten a man and pilot a ship simultaneously with only one hand. Furthermore, you have an entire squadron of fighters that could take you down in one shot, and you're counting on one man's popularity to survive. A man, by the way, who has his own fair share of enemies."
His voice turns to harsh, biting sarcasm as he continues. "And what happens if you do leave with Brophar? You see, I had a delightful chat with a fellow named Reek, Leader of the Sabiador Slavers, back on Kolatill, and he seemed very interested in finding you. Interested enough to put a sizeable bounty on your head. If I 'let slip' your location, I'm sure he'd be happy to use that information to find you and exact his vengeance on you. Oh, and if I were to, perhaps, INCREASE that bounty by adding a New Republic one to it, I'm sure you'll have a chance to meet some famous faces. After all, I'm sure you'd be happy to be hunted by the likes of Boba Fett, or maybe even Bossk. Did you know his name means 'Devours His Prey'? I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a demonstration of the meaning!"
His voice picks up, turning almost manic as he quickly adds "Oh, and I almost forgot, you also have important Imperial secrets rattling in that brain of yours! That means you'll have Imperial Operatives hunting you, or maybe even Inquisitors! I have a few of those fellows right here, and I'm sure they'd LOVE to tell their superiors where you are! Maybe we can forge a little truce, and the Inquisitors, Bounty Hunters, Sabiador Slavers, and the FarStar can hunt all hunt for you together!"
Suddenly, his tone drops back down, and he turns serious again. "Here's the bottom line Gorak: you've made many, many enemies during your lifetime. You've enslaved someone connected to almost every single member of the FarStar's crew, and that of most of the Kathol Sector. You've been exiled from your own guild, and you betrayed Sarne. In short, either you have to find allies soon, or you will die in horrific ways you cannot even begin to imagine. So, here's my offer: if you release Brophar in an escape pod and land your ship without a fight, you'll stay aboard in order to provide information on all the dirty little secrets you learned selling Force Sensitives to Sarne. You'll be under the protection of the New Republic, which means you'll only have one government and one gang after you instead of two galactic superpowers. Clearly, that's your best chance at survival."
Finally, the rage building inside of him reaches his voice. "Or, you can run. But I promise you, not only will I do everything I said to help the Empire and the Sabiador Slavers find you, I will personally hunt you down." His voice builds up in rage and volume with each word as he continues. "I don't know if you've heard, but you happen to be the man who enslaved my entire family. So, unless you plan on making it up to me by helping me find them again, I will be behind you with every step you take. I will use every resource at my disposal to track you, trap you, and make you suffer. I will spend years extracting pain from you every hour of every day until the debt you owe your victims is paid in full. And I plan on overestimating that value!" At this point, Stev is shouting into his comm, but after a brief pause, he returns to his deadpan again. "It's your choice Gorak. Surrender, live, and have a chance to clear away your debt, or run, and wait day after day until you are subjected to fear and anguish beyond your darkest nightmares. I expect your answer immediately."
Mechanics: Coercion vs Discipline Check. 1P3A vs 3D. Net result 5 successes 1 advantage. Well, hopefully that's at least enough for him to give Brophar back.

"After I tell you all I know or Sarne's plan I walk away from this?" The voice of Gorak asks over the comm."I just want to walk away from all of this. I did not sign on to do what Sarne wanted and lost my crew to Reek who was willing to do what I would not. If you want someone to hunt and destroy it would be Reek. Or hunt the Doctor who tortured and implanted them with the frakken crystals. Maybe the Colonel that stands next to you still in her Imperial Garb. Jessa was the hound of Sarne. Unda was the Dark Hand that hunted and killed the Shador nobility to near extinction. He was the Bloody Night of Kal Shebbol. He killed hundreds in one night and smiled in the telling of killing the children after. I'm just the one who said no. I just want to walk away from this." The rodian sounds desperate pleading.

So, Stev thinks to himself, he's no cunning mastermind or sadistic monster after all. He's just an unscrupulous coward. That's...oddly unexpected, but it makes dealing with him much easier. Still, after all these years of hunting, it's hard to think that the man that lurked in the shadows for so long was even weaker and more afraid than the 12 year old boy he sent an organization to enslave...then again, maybe he became a captain because he was the greatest coward. After all, when you can command other to die for you, fear becomes less of an issue.
Stev then gives a sigh, since there's at least a good chance Brophar was making it out of this relatively unharmed. "Gorak, you know I can't grant a blanket pardon. You'd need to discuss that with the Captain. However, the only way that discussion is going to happen is if you stop this recklessness and turn yourself into our custody. Please," Stev's voice becomes rather earnest and melancholy at this point "for your sake and Brophar's, just do it. If you really do come in quietly...I swear that I will personally ensure that no undue harm will come to you. Unlike most people you've associated with, you know I'll keep to that. Now, do we have a deal?"
As he spoke, Stev could barely even believe what came out of his own mouth. Here he was, offering to bodyguard his most hated foe. Still, Gorak really was his best lead for finding his family, plus he was protecting Brophar and the ancient Old Jedi Order artifact they were flying in. That had to come before vengeance. Still, he only swore to protect Gorak from undue harm. Gorak was due at least one haymaker. That thought made him feel at least a little better.
Mechanics: Discipline Check (Restraining Himself) 4A vs 5D. Net result 2 successes 1 threat. He hates making this promise so much that he takes 1 Strain.

The crystal spyder seeped in through the damaged area of the Muvon killed the jarrel and freed Locian's old buddy Gorak.
Ranna comes on the coms,"Gorak check you scans. The gas giants are pouring out hyperspace interference. Your not going anywhere. Noone is going anywhere. That ship is half vacced and could not outrun our fighters if it was 30,000 years younger. I played cards with you enough to know you fold on a losing hand. This is a losing hand."
Gorak has Brophar runs the scans as he holds a shaking blaster to his head. He is running on fear and not much else. "I fold. Brophar bring us back to the planet. It's over anyway. By the time the sun rises over Aaris III the prophet will be freed."

Stev almost relaxes, but then he catches the little grim ending to Gorak's surrender. "What do you mean by that? We took apart that tablet and shut down the Gree gate before the entity could do anything."
At the mention of the Gree gate, Tevan pipes up "Did you say a Gree gate? There's one of those inside the temple of the Prophet not too far away. We tried to stop Locain and his acolytes from accessing it, but all we could do was rescue Kl'aal and Toric."
"Blast." Stev growls. "If they can get that gate open, and the entity could pass through..." he physically shudders as he remembers his encounter with the entity. The nightmares it inflicted on him. The haunting voice, tempting him forward. The slimy, noxious tentacles that seemed to reach through his body to his very soul. They had to stop it before it could do that to someone else.
He switches his comm back on and says "Vic, Gorak's standing down, but we have a bigger problem. I'm not sure how much you heard about the encounter we had with a Gree gate right before we found you, but there's one in this city. If we don't intervene, it could unleash a force of near unstoppable destruction on the planet."
