The last 2 days have been less than joyous for Stev, Vandal, and the crew. They have 20 lifeforms in a ship with a life support system built for 10. The oxygen can not keep up and the air is stale. With the packed cargo holds passanger barely have room room to sit down. The refreshers are backing up and fresh water recyling can not keep up with the waste created. Jarrels also have a particular odor especially when packed into a closed system. The ramp area has become the home for a former imperial dark side assassin and everyone wants to kill the Rodian smirking in the bacta tank.
The Slacker's Dream is larger and with only 6 organics it's systems function properly. The only problem is a major one. PD13's personality is one of independent thought and wild actions. It is not a personality that takes well to authority figure, but at the same it wants to be the authority figure. PD13 finds he has created his own monsters. The other 6 PDs each argue, fight, and compete over everything. It is only the fear of Amura that keeps them in check.
Minutes before dropping out of jump they receive the notice from the FarStar. Lilith voice explains,"FarStar away team the ship has been impounded and the crew is being arrested. Do not identify yourselves as new Republic. Come into port as independent vessels. Do not identify yourselves as FarStar crew. Thane is not being held an can be your contact point for further guidance. The delta fighter wing, Theta's unit, and Loh'khar are also possible contact points that are not arrested. Remember all holonet and communications are probably being monitored by imperial security. FarStar Out."
Coming out of jump the two freighters find the jump point is without standard security. The automated starport system does send greeting and asks for identification.
Brophar and Sivu send the transponder readings of Muvon Kathol Freight Vessel Independent, and FxzEt Kathol Freight Vessel Danol Trade Syndicate.
The clearance returns and they are given berths at the Montrol Spaceport.
As they begin the 2 hour trek to the planet sensors detect two sil5 vessels moving at a vector to intersect theirs. They are not sending transponder codes and are 6 klicks away.
Muvon- Pilot Brophar, Engineer T3, Passengers- Stev, Vandal, Aren, Invictuis, Gammer, Sasha, Blu, Boom, Dr. Sigurd, Gorak and 8 Jarrells.
Slacker's Dream- Pilot- PD13, Other crew 6 Pit Droids (Alpha, Beta, Ceta, Delta, Epi, and Fi), Passengers- Sivu, Amura, 4 Jarrells.

Vandal had been overseeing repairs on her armor, hoping she picked up something useful, although she was more concerned with the limb refit going on concurrently, and seeing what she could get for Sato's use. Fortunately, with the air being dry, she at least had no reason to air out her eye socket, though she was incredibly careful at any rate to clean fluids from her eyeplate. Over the time, she had supervised Invictus' lightpike construction and the pair beat the living tar out of each other for a cross between amusement and resharpening the young man.
She also had much to learn about the forms, and the younger man was willing to teach as she much as she was willing to learn. Both former Imperials got along a fair bit, despite her being a willing servant of the Empire and him being brainwashed. She led to a few questions being raised when she was found wrapped in a blanket underneath the table, but the lack of sleeping spots were a suitable explanation.
She was more effective than an interrogator, and once the ships were spotted coming in, she got her armor, went into the cabinet they'd been keeping Invictus' lightpike and flatly handed it off to him. While she didn't make many modifications, she added a few stabilizers to make it easier to keep her legs pointed at the ground, and a visor uplink to track her orientation. Her armor was painted black with blue trimming, and blue backlights lit up to show off her new visor. She was much more terrifying than a Republic line soldier, she was immersed in her new role. Immersion was important.

Sivu spends the two days sequestered away in the Port Escape Pod, which he has turned into his unofficial lab. He investigates the crystals, their interactions with the Duros's flesh, estimates growth patterns and rates, attempts to determine the half-life of these crystals in order to help determine their chemical composition and crystal lattice structures, and all other such things that only he could consider interesting.
As he receives the message from the FarStar, Sivu rolls his eyes at the incompetence of the main crew, and later his eyes roll even further when he receives the information of the incoming vessels. In a voice that sounds less worried than amused and vaguely annoyed, he remarks "Very likely pirates. Adorable. PDs, I would like a report on the available weapon systems, and I am sure you would be willing to man them if necessary. However, given their considerable weight and our vessel's advanced systems, I am sure we could simply outrun the fools. Begin a detailed sensor scan so we know precisely what we're facing. I will join you to discuss the results."
With that, Sivu exits the escape pod and strides toward the cockpit.
----
After downloading a copy of T3's recording of the duel with the Sith Emperor on his datapad, Stev situates himself right outside of the med bay. As he stands guard, he passes the time polishing Revan's mask and repeatedly watching the battle sequence unfold. He studies the movements of their arms and legs, the ways they hold the blades, the ways they bound, leap, slash, and...he still can't figure it out. Every moment they seem to be switch grips, switching stances, switching tactics, and he can't place a definite pattern yet. Although he considers himself to be rather skilled at understanding and replicating various forms of traditional blade combat, the simultaneous use of saber and the Force is something he can't quite get a handle on. On the other hand, while his visual saber combat study is largely a failure, at least he succeeds at restoring the mask to its former glory, although no amount of cleaning can remove the battle scars that cross the visor.
Just as Stev starts feeling as though he might be onto something regarding the combination of telekinetic powers and saber maneuvers, the message comes in. The grim disposition he's developed due to the events of the past few days becomes even darker at the thought of the crew being taken away to some Imperial prison. He already starts working on a plan of action when the scanners detect the vessels. His frown deepens as he goes to Brophar and says "I don't like this. Hail the starport and ask about those ships. If we don't get any info, we'll need to prep for either fight or flight, and judging from the size of those things, the latter option may be the better one."

The hail to starport is quickly responded to,"Starport to incoming merchants please consider the vessels hostile until proven otherwise. Currently the Planetary Defense Force lacks vessels to assist you so you are on your own. Be warned we have lost the Noblestar planetary system so they may follow you to the inner system."
Gammer is at the sensors and comms,"The ships are scanning us."
On the Slacker's Dream (FyxEt) the PD at sensor whistles the same observation. He then whistles to PD13 and Sivu that a comm is coming in from the vessels.
Punching it up you hear,"Ned'Ix the boss has been waiting for you. He said to make sure you make it through unmolested. Tell Danol that Chuborro the Hutt pays his respects."
The two ships are slowing and veering away from your flight path. (If you didn't pick up that ship you would be coming into a pirate attack.)
The Starport control gives you landing bays that are nearbye each other even though they are on the other side of the starport from the FarStar. As you drift down you see the FarStar has vehicles, droids, and spotlights surrounding it. Beyond them is a large shield generator covering the area around the FarStar.

Vandal held her carbine in one hand and her new Lightsaber in her offhand in a reverse-grip. Similarly, Invictus kept his pike ready, but neither dared to ignite their blade. It seemed either was prepared to breach or be breached, and at any rate, hilarity ensured, if by hilarity, one meant grievous harm with ancient weapons wielded by insane despots and hypocritical 'peacekeepers' with their empty calls to arms 'in the name of democracy.'

Well, at least something's going right. That's two fights avoided, one planet determined to hunt down and capture or kill you to go. Now to give everyone the bad news...
Stev announces on the PA system "It looks like nobody's coming for us right now. Everyone, let's convene in the meeting room and develop a plan for our next steps."
Stev steps into the main room and waits for everyone to gather before he starts laying out ideas. "Right now, we have the advantage of anonymity. In addition, it seems that the bulk of the port's forces are watching over the FarStar, so that should pull enough attention away that we'll avoid or delay any customs investigations. The message from the FarStar gave us three groups to rendezvous with: Delta pilots, Theta's team, and Loh'Khar. I don't know what any of their missions were, but I can guess that Loh'Khar's involves finding the seediest, shadiest, most scum-filled corner of this city and meeting whomever he needed to for whatever he had to get or learn. That's not great, but it's a start."
"However, there's a snag in any attempt at investigation: back on Kolatill, our dear friend Loh'Khar gave out the likenesses of Amura, PD13, and myself to be used by House Kathor to secure their support. Considering how quickly and aggressively they used those marketing rights on Kolatill, that means Kathor's probably been selling here too. PD may be able to get away with being seen thanks to his look being similar to any other droid of the same model, but Amura and I don't have thousands of people looking like us throughout the galaxy, so we'll be instantly recognizable when we set foot on the planet's surface. Since the Jarells are pretty conspicuous too, that probably means the Jarells and the two of us will have to guard the ships while everyone else goes planetside."
He looks to Vandal "Unless if we can magically morph my face, I don't think I can get away with wearing a helmet through security, so that means it's your op now. Comms will be monitored, so they'll have to be kept to as little use as possible, and any use will have to be vague. Even so, if you need air support, comm me and I'll be ready. Other than that, it's your call. I'd suggest weapons and armor be kept at a minimum to avoid attention, but you could always pass off as bounty hunters, so it's your call."

Vandal listened intently though her helmet. "We need to do inventory of the armor we stole. We might be able to use disguises if we acquired exotic armors or Stormtrooper plating. I still remember regimental markings for Inquisitorial Guard." She suggested. "I can't fake credentials, but remember that you have me at your disposal. I'm still Imperial enough to pass as the enemy." She said, folding her hands behind her back.

The Starport administration send to the ships the common greetings, city information, loader schedules (they are 2 days behind so unloading droids will not be able to unload goods for at least 48 hours), and processing (processing apologizes for the delay in customs inspections, they will be 24 hours before custom agents will inspect and release your goods), and Security directives (no explosives, weapons beyond pistols, or vibroweapons). All personnel must pass security screens to leave the starport area.
Your eyes tell you the starport is heavy on ships, dignitaries, merchants, and crews. It is short on any starport personnel you would normally find. Custom inspectors, refueling tankers, security droids, loading droids, and just people in starport uniforms are not to be found.

OOC: What would a security screen entail? Is it some sort of facial recognition software, biometrics, or just a weapons scan? If it's facial recognition, does it look for a match in some criminal database, so only triggering it would be a problem, or does it search some Imperial facial registry?

Normally just a weapons, drugs, and explosives scan (like a metal detector). If you trip that scan they will then go to the full ID scanner. They are very understaffed so security is less than the norm.

Stev nods to Vandal "True, and that'll definitely be useful when we have to bust out whomever was part of the crew that was captured. The only problem with that right now is that we landed under the registration of a free trader, so if the cams spy Stormtroopers or Inquisitorial Guard members walking out, they'll start asking questions I don't think we can answer. For now, the only people we want them to think we're affiliated with are ourselves."
"Security may be bare-bones, but I've found being over-prepared is better than being under-prepared, so let's figure out how we can pass through under the radar. We'll want to follow their rules as best we can, so weapons will be at minimum, and any we do bring we'll want to declare before the scanner so they don't decide to be extra thorough. We don't want to look like we're going to cause trouble, so armor's probably going to have to be reduced as much as possible too."
"This freighter's designed to carry 10 people maximum, so that's the biggest group we can send out. The question is, does anybody have a prior history with Gandle Ott? Any risk of being recognized by the wrong person at the wrong time that can't be avoided via some synthflesh scar tissue?"

"You have fun with that. Halan, have your men incapacitate and restrain Gorak if he attempts to escape. Vic, if you keep up the good behavior, I may let you have a crack at the bastard if he tries to break free." Vandal instructed with her earpiece now worked into her helmet.
"I'm a Vic now?" Invictus asked incredulously.
"Yes. The fact remains that once Gorak proves to be more trouble than he's worth I'm willing to let you take out my missing arm and your missing years, skin, implants, lightsaber and--what else did he steal from you?"
"Everything."
"That." She snorted. "We need to do inventory regarding the equipment, so you're staying off dirtside until you have armor. You'll be armed on my authority until it's less reasonable to protect you. And if you do that thing you did to win our duels, it'd better be in self-defense."
"Yes, ma'am."
"Anything attacks you and...?" Vandal asked, motioning for him to finish the sentence.
"Incapacitate them unless they go lethal. Leave two alive, one for interrogation and one to deliver a death threat."
"Good man." She responded, genuinely impressed.

So who is going? Vandal, PD13, Sivu, Aren, Dr. Sigurd, Sasha,

OOC: Well, I think the only people off limits are Stev and Amura (holovid fame sucks), Blu (everybody recognizes a clone trooper), and Doc Sigurd (he's clearly Shador, and Empire and Shador aren't friends, so that's asking for trouble). If Vic's staying shipside too, that's still a decent sized team to work with. The Jarells are probably going to draw attention, so I wouldn't recommend them either, but they aren't a mission-ending level threat. Also, would those archaic comms Gammer had on the first expedition to Aariss be harder to trace? Having some sort of untraceable comm, regardless of how unwieldy, would be nice.

Gammer pulls out the comms. He shows the group how to charge them by spinning the wheel. They use old radio frequencies and should not be monitored by any modern systems. He hands one to Aren, Stev, and Vandal keeping one for himself.
Vandal, Aren, Gammer, Sivu, Sasha, and PD13 walk from the ships. Security is even more lacking than they imagined. The organics in charge look haggered and worn. The automated systems are down. The security lady who passes you explains,"Our main systems are being overloaded with security procedures on that Repub Corvette. We don't have a way to process the scan so why bother. Next."
You exit the front of the starport and see shuttles and johnny cabs waiting for use.
