"Wise choice. We will take our people and you and the Red Hand will live to fight another day." He pushes a dwarf forward. "A token of my goodwill." The alchemist leans against the wall and begins to walk down a stone staircase built into the tower leading to the roof. The hobgoblin returns to the tower.

Malik "Sir dwarf are you alright?"
"We must move NOW to stop these events!"

"So that's three of 'em in the bag. How many more do we need to collect?" Izzy starts counting on his fingers. Fargrim frowns at him. "Le's not start countin' our gems before they're mined, lad."
Izzy smirks and looks over at the balcony. "We...probably shouldn't have set that whole place on fire, should we."

Oloric, not inexperienced in the ways of fire notes, "The webs shouldn't burn long and we can make our way through quickly after unless there is another path."

During the exchange, Blackarrow assists in cutting the webbing and applying the salve to Kartenix. As he awaits results of the combined works of the chemical and holy nature, he comments "Well, then it seems our diversion opened up the necessary path. If the captain awakens quickly, he can point us in any better direction, but otherwise we should be able to get the drop on this Wight that calls itself a Lich and save Thurann."
With a soft chuckle he adds "And if it makes the goblin-hunters feel better, I do believe we only promised not to stop the ritual. After we evacuate the prisoners, we could always go back and finish the job."

The captains eye's flicker and open. He looks to the masked man above him. "Great, I've been rescued by Brindol's most wanted. Have you found my son and father?"

Blackarrow's glad for the mask, since otherwise his grin would've been revealed. Instead, he keeps his appearance of grimness as he stands and says "We know where your son is. Rescuing him from the wight planning to possess him, however, is the next challenge." He extends his hand to help the captain up "I believe the works of the alchemist and cleric should have you back in something similar to fighting shape. We could always use another sword arm, and I have a feeling you won't sit idly by while others rescue your kin."

The dwarf alchemist replies to Malik that he will live. "I spent most of my time in the baroness old lab. Picked up a few things." He passes a vial of healing potion to each rescuer then one to the captain. After a short rest the captain stands a retrieves s shield and goblin spear. "We need to get to the throne room and stop this now. I will not let the ancestor who destroyed all my family should have take my son." He moves to the rope and begins to climb to the now smoldering balcony room.

Izzy manfully refrains from actually saying any of the sarcastic things that come to his mind as he helps Fargrim climb over to the balcony room. He even almost kinda doesn't smirk at the cleric the entire time. Almost.
Fargrim mumbles the entire time about how substandard the stonework here is and how they're taking their lives in their hands depending on this kind of shoddy work. He really doesn't like heights.

The Alchemist and Herblist stand on the roof in the garden and watch Fargrim struggle. The old warty hag smiles and waves you on,"You kids have fun storming the castle."

OOC: Before the short rest, Blackarrow'll take a second wind to be back at full HP.
Blackarrow quickly follows, interjecting "We have to be careful. This isn't a siege, it's a hostage situation. We'll need someone to quietly get into position to bring the villagers to safety before anyone can know we're here."

The Captain does not seem to be listening. The Alchemist did explain everything he knew of the throne room before you left the garden. The Wight has the Wizard chained up in the throne room (the Captain's Dad). She has a guard of two giant 4 armed skeletons and 4 Gnome Archaists are working da ritual. I've seen a few zombies and ghouls in the keep. To the west of the throne room is some kind of magical prison with a demon trapped within. Seems the Baroness has been keeping it trapped for since she made her transition to the undead. Landing in the balcony the spider lord is facing off against a giant skeleton to the north. To the west is a shambling pair of zombies backed by lowing eyed ghouls moving toward the room. The east is a passage to a furnished bath area that at one time was extravagant and is now decayed. Initiative please. Initiative: 14.
By the way, what's over to our left? I can see the door and the ghouls, but I can't tell what those two humanoids right outside the door are supposed to be.
