The officers lounge has changed over time from storage bay, to VIP gaming lounge for the Hutt's best clients, to now serving as a meeting and relaxation area for the officers. You enter to a communications bay with hyperspace transceivers, Computer terminals, and long range communications. Beyond opens into a space with sabaac tables, couches, and other gaming tables. A large view port dominates the forward wall. You see the planet Aaris III growing as you approach it.
On one side of the view port is a stone slab that was recently installed. You note the sole name on the slab of Dasha Defano her rank and date she gave her life for the ship and mission. You know many more names will added today.
On the other side are shelves with a strange collection of "trophies". Above the shelves hangs the Rebellion flag of Page's Commandos. The first shelf holds a stormtrooper with the marking of Sarne's private troops adorning it. A Krayt dragon egg sits on a display. The next shelf holds a mandalorian power net. The lower shelf has an empty light saber power cell, a dud thermal detonator, and a piece of wax fruit.
As you arrive Kaiya is staring at the stone slab and Bifzik is working a datapad from his seat on one of the couches.

To say DeCaville was offput by the decor was an understatement, much like being an incompetent pilot. In interest of preserving the mystique, she simply walked in, tilting her head in such a way that showed that she made note of the slab. Seeing as how the Captain was predisposed, she knew her salute would be missed. There was a soft clearing of her throat into her hand--through the helmet--before saluting. "Captain, ma'am." She said in her modulated voice. This was her. Rolling with the insanity was part of the job.

Kaiya returns the salute. "This had to be an interesting first day since your transfer at Kolatill Sergeant. You performed in an exemplary fashion in the crisis. You also did not seemed effected by the artifact. If you are willing I want to reassign you to field operations for this mission. I would like to send crewmen who have shown resistance to the effects back to Aaris III to complete the mission. So are you interested in a field trip?"

"...I'm a Corporal now." She quietly clasped her hands behind her back with her hesitant correction, recalling only slightly better times in serving in the Imperial military. "...Vocal as I am about my disdain for the fledgling Republic--It's a soldier's duty to serve the government they have, not the one they wish they had. That means serving this mission. I would be honored." She tapped her blaster with her little finger. "I'll need a short time--a minute, two tops--to charge my pack. I've been reduced to the sidearm since Brand 'lost' my requisition request for a replacement service weapon." She tilted her head only a tiny bit, a subtle reminder that she was a person under that helmet.

"The position I am offering would include the Sergeant rank. I've seen your record Sergeant DeCaville. You have slid up and down the ranks from private to Senior Sergeant and almost back. I think you are soldier who can bring some backbone and discipline to the Field ops group and you will need to weight the rank brings to perform the job. So Sergeant DeCaville are you willing to be the Field Ops NCO squad leader? You will answer to Ensign Stev and myself."

"I could use a break from the tough jobs." She shrugged. "Still, I'm not certain they'd take kindly to answering to a former Imperial." There was only the bare minimum of uncertainty present in her modulated voice, straightening her head and rolling her left shoulder, hands still clasped behind her back. With pause, she nodded to the droid newcomer before looking back to the Captain. "At any rate, Sergeant would come first... earning their respect will come in time. Your vote of confidence means a lot, I accept." She said with a slight bow of her head. With a pause, she looked back to the droid, and then back to the Captain, then back to the droid, then back to the Captain. She looked back and forth a few more times before sighing. "They were given direct orders--Shall I go fetch the latecomers, or should I just stun them and drag the deaf lot over to medical for a hearing examination and then here for a flogging?" She asked, quite clearly in jest.
Actually, she's a former Imperial.
She may be serious.

Chief Krudar starts logging a commendation medal for Lodor, the young man did right by the crew. His quick thinking and valor should be recognized. As he puts the finishing touches on the award he hears Tanner laughing. "hey chief check this out" Krudar knows that usually means a young crewman is about to attempt something dangerous or stupid. He looks over the privates shoulder, "boss you had me run some scans I think this is being broadcast from the droid department. Occ for pure humor and lack of recent postings. www.nerdist.com/vepisode/nerdist-presents-all-about-that-bass-star-wars-parody-starring-team-unicorn/

Ciro enter the officer's lounge "Kai..," he stops himself when he sees the new corporal in the room. He salutes and starts again, "Captain, Lt Ciro reporting. For the most part, my squads weathered the storm and are ready for duty." He realizes that in order for the crew to start showing the captain more respect, the command crew needs to lead by example.

Boom gathers his equipment out of the Aegis. He stows the explosives away safely and heads for the Officer's Lounge. Hopefully there will be some new stuff to blow up.

The ex-Imperial let out a light chortle at Ciro's faux pas, but it could have easily passed for a light cough considering how heavily modulated her voice was. She was listening, but for the moment, her requisition for singular use of a DC-15S Heavy Blaster Carbine took priority over the uncomfortable silence in the room. While she had the weathered, beaten up and cracked datapad out, she opted to look up specifications on modules as well, selecting the 'stock' design--after all, it shouldn't have been too much to ask considering she was a freshly minted Sergeant. "A worthy weapon for a worthy trooper." She murmured. While she was at it, she put in one for a new datapad, right before that one crapped the bed and shorted out. Talk about timing.
She'd verify in person on the way out.

Slyler: Captain, we are assembling the officers, all sections have reported, medical is going to be delayed but I have set up direct vid conference to the Dr. but the science department is present. Watch is posted on the bridge so we have a skeleton crew there. We do not have all officers present, away teams, flights, and ongoing roll by the department heads is the cause. Report from the bridge is no comm established but operational, sensors have some readings to look into but unknown ships, weapons have four guns, three when Chief Krudar gets here, shields have some power fluctuations they are dealing with, navigation is running a massive amount of data. Medical is still compiling data, Engineering is in process of bow to stern check, hanger/fighters are still working recovery, droid ops are reporting severe degradation of service, security is completing rounds and has a team with engineering, logistics still need time to check stores, support reports galley is operational, field ops will want to brief you on return. (occ I think that is right?) Barring any questions that completes your preliminary report Captain. Slyer snaps of a perfect salute trying to get the crew back to business will be difficult, getting out of this hyperspace mess up is still unkown, but he has to focus them. Giving a open ended report should buy the Captain time as more data is gathered, she had relied on him more as the XO than Thyte lately he would not let her down or the ship crew.

Lowffyrrnn enters and slumps into a seat. He looks as weathered and tired as the rest of the command crew and other crewmen present.
Stev, Lodor, Sivu, and PD13 have taken one couch.
Amura, Theta, and Scourne have another.
Thanis and Gammer have found seats.
Thyte sits alone at a couch.
Dr. Perriga is on a vidscreen as is Krudar from his turret.
Slyer enters and gives his report.
Gorak enters last he looks around and finds a seat with Scourne.
"LtCommander Slyer has given a good summary of our conditions. I am not a giver of speeches and have been reported to be blunt. So I think I will be blunt. We have FUBARed this mission. It begins with my ignoring of what should have been common sense and protocol when dealing with unknown technology. I gave it the opportunity to control me in my rush to find the Captain and it led to this.
LtC Khazam I see now I gave you orders to torture and them set up the assassination of prisoners and you followed them without question. You went against everything the republic stands for and every regulation. Then in the crisis you sent your teams out with a heavy hand violently taking down one crewman after another. LtC Thyte you were controlled by the artifact and nearly killed two flight crew on your way to stealing a defender.
PD-13 your prank stranded 4 delivery men in the vacumn of space. 2 are dead and 2 will never be the same. You also left the ship without its central droid crew coordinator. This cost lives PD-13. Lives.
Some of us will be able to plea that we where not in control of our actions, but all of us including myself will be charge and face judgement by the New Republic Navy.
Some would be commended for their actions.
Corporal Vandal, who is now Sergeant Vandal effective immediately, kept a sane head and focus throughout the ordeal and helped save the ship.
Crewman Lodor and Chief Krudar both performed far beyond the range of their duties.
The leadership of Ensign Stev, Sergeant Theta (New Republic Rank), and quick computing of PD-13 thwarted what could have been a deadly situation to the entire field team.
The restraint of Crewman Amura in dealing with a controlled crewman was to be commended.
We now have to decide what is to be our course of action next.
We have a fighter squadron and diplomatic team enroute to Gandel Ott already. With best speed we can leave the hyperspace disruption zone and be at Gandel Ott in 32 hours. This would put us about 10 hours behind the other teams but still arriving a day before the High King lays claim to the throne of Kathol. If he regains his throne our treaty with the sector will hold and it will become a part of the New Republic. If he does not regain the throne we will be dealing with an Imperial sector. Thane believes that House Karadol will be advancing legislation to outlaw New Republic vessels within the sector. They are also processing warrents for the arrests of the command crew of this vessel. If the High King does not prevail we will an illegal ship of wanted men. We must go to Gandel Ott.
The question is do we abandon Aaris III?"

Vandal stood silent throughout the debrief until her deeds were mentioned, giving a respectful nod but not saying a word until the acting Captain was finished. "My piloting was more than a little lackluster out there. The Lieutenant's cybernetics, I'll pull that out of my allotment. Were I more capable, she wouldn't need them--that was my fault. As for your question..."
The ex-Stormtrooper sighed, odd given the amount of modulation. "I haven't been briefed on the developments there. That said, speaking tactically: the data retrieval was our goal. Aariss III itself is of little import beyond that." She said callously, tilting her head. "But I'd argue we at the very least extend some sort of an olive branch and see if we can secure the aid of some of the Mandalorians. That would take a bit off of Tac and given their tendency to learn trade skills, we may be able to compensate for the loss of crew and get some much needed manpower in other, non-critical areas." With that, she verified that she wanted it sent to the Aegis when she managed to get her pad working.
"As for the olive branch... I'm guessing we could leave a token relief task force of what few personnel we can spare from Tac and a few token specialists... maybe grab them at a later time. On the other hand, I do not think we can spare much in terms of supplies..." She paced as her mind worked, one of the few signs that there was a human in there. "I'm not for or against it, I just thought I'd present some suggestions, Captain."
