Lodor stops Bifzik and looks into the airlock. He sees the other side of the lock is opened. He hears footsteps running in the lifeboat. A form turns into the airlock from the lifeboat rushing toward your side of the lock. It is wearing a New Republic Field Uniform. It looks vaguely female with spikes extending from every joint and smaller spikes over the head and face. Roll Initiative the creature is racing at you with spiked claws extended and a look of violence. Vandal and Potshot are on the Geo lab mote. Attachments:

"You know, sometimes I hate being right!"
Mechanics: Vigilance Check 3A. Result 2 successes 2 advantages.
OOC: What kind of difficulty on an Athletics check would it be to throw Spiky Mutant Ninja Kaiya across the void and hope she becomes something more human?

OOC: Initiative and notes on actions. Lodor (2 success, 2 Advantage) Athletics would be against a 3 Challenge difficulty. What mote are you aiming for or do you want to just throw her into hyperspace and never see her again. Slyer could get rid of Kaiya and Thyte in one swoop and have total control of the ship. So Lodor make your check.
Once Lodor rolls. Vandal (next in initiative) can leap the desk and rush down the walkway closing to 6m from the Capdemon which is close range but you do have Lodor, Bifzik, and Krudar in the way giving you a setback. She has an armor of 2 with a soak of 7 and a strain of 15.(We will call you roll close enough to the diffculty and take it) She will take 3 strain if hit by your stun attack.
Capdemon will go next.
The Security guard will be next.
Krudar
Jittonne
Bifzik states,"The captain is just a symptom. The hyperspace abnormality is just a symptom. The artifact is the problem."

Lodor doesn't want to lose his second captain in as many days, so he redirects Kaiya's momentum to force her to charge across the gap and into the geological pad. He yells "If the Captain's that protective of this lifeboat, then that artifact might be in there. I've gotta handle the Captain, but the sooner somebody checks it out, the better."
As Lodor runs down the path back to Geological, he begins to feel a nasty sting in his side. "Well, that's what I get for tossing spike monsters."
Mechanics: Athletics Check 1P2A vs 3C. Net result 1 success 1 threat (that went better than I thought it would). He'll take 1 strain. That'll put the captain, in whatever form she ends up, within close range of Vandal and Potshot without having to spend any movements or strain, I think. Hopefully she'll have less Soak now too.

OOC: Yep, always happy to make everyone's lives easier...okay, technically I'm making it more difficult with the changing roll, but at least the shot's easier, plus no need to take strain and, if you want, you can even aim!

Vandal felt good, but only in the loosest sense. Today, she could only describe as 'only slightly preferable to prison' mainly due to having both of her eyes immediately before becoming a prisoner of war. Seeing Capthulhu get launched at her, she raised her weapon and flicked it to stun and brought forth the hellfire present in her eye beneath that helmet.1
Stormtroopers were supposedly skilled soldiers, but complacency bred incompetence. Vandal had, since the moment she got on that ship exhibited contempt and complacency in equal measure. All that changed was her allegiances, and mainly due to convenience at that. Considering that her blaster had dust on it earlier, it raised the question of why she was wasted on defensive operations.
For that precious moment she was going light-years a minute with her thought process scanning every single possible outcome faster than she could blink, giving herself that split second she needed.
They're approaching at a rate of eight meters per second when they hit real space given the arc at which we're 'moving' and the speed with which they're approaching my vector--damnedable, the crew's in the way. Adjusting arm, they should pass by them harmlessly and--no, stray fire could potentially compromise the integrity of--no, no, she should be right around--I need to compensate, I need to compensate--
The speed of thought, her speed of thought was--at least for the moment bizarrely quick, making her calculations in the half-heartbeat between the flash of her muzzle and the sound of her gunfire. Her thoughts were silenced as the humming KRAK of her newly refurbished pistol roaring...
Mechanics (Ranged (Light)): 1 Triumph, 3 Successes, 4 Advantages, 1 Threat2 (Actual); 1 Triumph, 3 Successes, 3 Advantages (Net)
...At this present moment Vandal had exited the building, her hand, mind, eye and gun less of a weapon tempered by the vicissitudes of fate and more of a perfect storm fueled by its own savage momentum.
That had her feeling good. Very good. So good in fact that once her heartbeat no longer felt like it was going to beat out of her chest, she let her renewed drive come out. "Come on, you ugly mutated bastard." She snapped. "You are little more than bones that break and blood that spills... and what I'll do to you?" She chuckled darkly. "I've done worse than just stun family. Come. If you dare." She flicked the safety on her weapon held it forward and dropped it, assuming a haughty, arrogant and decidedly Imperial stance.3
She chuckled again. "Come, Captain... demonstrate your dominion..."
Mechanics (Deception): 3 Successes, 1 Threat (Actual); 3 Successes, 1 Threat (Net) (Done with 1PD, 1AD, 2DD)
1Aim Maneuver 2ogodwhy?! no rngsus. rngsus no. y rngsus? y u do dis? 3Deception with the intent of taunting. Suffering two strain in order to make a maneuver. Utilizing the triumph to upgrade her ability die to a proficiency die. Utilizing two advantages to add a setback die to (presumably) resist the urge to kick Lydia's arse, or kick Lydia's arse. One advantage to recover strain.

Odor grabs and rolls with the captain using her momentum to kick up and thrust her into the hyperspace flow as Vandle fires. The bolt strikes the rapidly shrinking Kaiya. Her form become small a fuzzy the bolt and her new smaller mass makes Lodors toss go high. Potshot sees it all going FUBAR and lauches himself from chair to desktop to hyperspace. He catches the white rabbit that is Kaiya and lands on the underside of a refresher mote. Water has flowed to the underside and pooled. Edlh goes under holding Kaiya. He erupts from the water in a toss of long flowing hair. His gunners uniform is wet and clinging to his massive shoulders and chiselled arms. Vandel for a moment remembers the romance holonets her foster keeper would watch and Edly could easily make the cover. Bifzik walks past Lodor and into the lifdboat Krudar follows trailing him into the cockpit. The artifacts runes are glowing from its place on the dashboard. The verpine checks the controls. "The captain locked in launch order with her own codes. I cant break them. The lifeboat will launch in 2 minutes." The Trando helps up Lodor as Jitonne stares at Edly her mouth agape.

Vandal made her approach, listening to the chatter while holstering her weapon. "Aboard the second Death Star we had an incident where we couldn't undo an accidental shuttle launch." She responded over comms. "We could simply lock the docking clamps and disconnect the power. Or shut down the failsafe and eject the fuel cell. Or bomb the engines. The ship can't go anywhere without engines. Propulsion can be replaced but we cannot lose this lifeboat." She said with a calm that belied that display. Of course she neglected to mention that aboard the Death Star the engineer responsible for that malfunction was put to death. "Or, with more pragmatic sensibilities, we could simply allow it to launch--with one of us inside to re-route it back towards a rendezvous point." She addressed it logically enough, but the artifact's presence disturbed her.
"In fact... against my better judgement--I'll sit on the glowing evil thing." She paused, with a subtle tilt of her head. Poor life choices. She thought to herself. "I haven't been compromised, and if necessity requires it to be isolated, it comes down to the argument of who's best suited." She eyed the verpine and then the others. "We can let it launch, hopefully restore whatever damage was done." And with that she killed the modulation on her voice, certainty clearly there although regret was there as well. "My plan isn't pretty, but we can't argue it isn't sensible."
Worst case, I go insane. Best case, I've maintained enough sense to shoot myself once it becomes clear rescue won't arrive before I've starved.
"That thing isn't worth our crew. I think we can accept this as fact."

Bifzik looks to the trooper. "We could send the artifact without crew but chance losing the lifeboat. We could send a crew but risk losing both."
The walkways between motes snap. The motes are increasing in distance from each other.
Edly aka potshot bends his muscular frame and launches himself and the captain back toward the lifeboat airlock. He lands rolling on his carpace and raises the captain who is now a catapiller in his tentacles. Your not sure what the clicks of his mandibles mean.
Thyte launches from the flight deck and disappears into the flow of hyperspace.
The acting Captain Slyer recieves report of the launch the the top of the bridge begins to stretch. It is like the floors and walls are rubber. Colton at the helm looks to be 100m away instead of 5.

Lilith yells over from communications that is now connected to the captain's station/ helm by a thin strip of flooring. "The dimension rift is spreading from the science labs."
Both Sullustian crewman Ensign Ban and Ensign Kinmel drop to their knees gripping their heads. You see blood dripping down on the floor before the two of them. Ensign Hydan and Ensign Allisdar rush to each to assist.

OOC: Thyte is not at the lifeboat. He is at the defender fighter and has left the ship and hyperspace. You still need to decide what to do with the lifeboat (in the next 2 minutes before it launches), if you are going to leave the artifact in it, if your going to remove the artifact who will touch it, will anyone go with the lifeboat, and will Edly be baby cthulhu forever.

((Vandal is willing to make that sacrifice if she must, hence her urging. If she has to go, she'd rather just do it alone. She expects to die like she lived.))
