As the vapor from the explosions disappears it takes a few moments to realize what caused them and says to himself "I guess I owe Ciro 50 credits"
"Keeg to flight, we likely have a chance to make one pass before the fighters are launched. Remember, by the numbers, Target the weapons on that ship and try to take away it's teeth.... TALLY HO!"
(OOC "By the numbers" means each craft will target a separate target based on their designation. Alpha 1 goes after the lead on the left, Alpha 2 goes after the second on the left, etc. Bravo 1 goes to the first on the right, etc)
Keeg knows it is all or nothing now, and the gloves have come off. All that stands in the way right now is the Bad Omen, and what every attempt at death it tries to dish out. in order to protect the Farstar, His squadron, friends, Hummer, and the Citizens of Kolatill, he is to become Death itself and kill before they have a chance to kill.
"Hummer, switch shields double forward, and lets get a target lock on one of those Laser cannons"
Keeg selects torpedoes and Hummer is able to bring up the component lock on the Combat multiview Display to highlight one of the Cannon batteries in the HUD. The tracking computer starts to beep in increasing crescendo as the Bad Omen looms larger in the cockpit and he starts being able to make out individual running lights on the hull, is snapped out of his revere as he gets tone and presses the trigger. Hummer Squeals his own challenge in binary as the single torpedoe flies off towards the laser cannons
mechanics heading straight Towards the bad omen at speed 3, evasive, then firing torpedoes at what i think is medium range
Piloting 1 successes 4 advantages, doing a free maneuver to aim, Gunnery: (not sure the shield status, assuming 2 setback 2 difficulty for range) 4 success

The Bad Omen appears as Keeg's squads has 2 proton torpedoes explode onto its hull. (after soak 2 Capital damage total to the ship, just 73 left to blow up the hull. or you can do 1 Capital damage and roll for a critical hit). You are also close enough to target a ship external system to attack in your next attacks. You have surprise and a first free move as their systems adjust to real space and they get shields up. So hit fast, hard, and choose your targets well. OCC if you are asking if do we want two damage or one and critical? I would like one and critical. The protons also have guided correct? Wondering if missed missiles will re-attack with guided ability? Can R2 units send signal while pilot handles upcoming attack? Krudar will also shoot soon as he is in range even if it is crazy long (1064k?), his talent drops the Defense if he misses but will use the 'aim' ability of ship and his talents for increased aim. Slyer wants to know what forces both flying, space and ground that are close to the Captain, rack and stacked by who can get there the fastest. Comm needs to tell ground we are engaging the Dark Omen with fighters at this time. Will update when we get more info.

Kinneson could choose the critical with one proton hitting or the 2 protons hitting. I can switch it and he can roll a crit still if he wants it instead of 2 hits. For attacks after the "proton mines" roll for guidance hits if you miss and they will happen at the end of the rounds. In my judgement, the "proton mines" exploding as the ship comes in are the guided attack. After this round of protons the X-wings will also need to reload the slow torpedo tubes so need to switch to laser cannons.
The area of space around the Aegis was a mess of transponder codes and the ships look to be going the long way to the jump points at either Kotal II or the Asteroid Field. Rorn will try to sort out who was by the Aegis for any period of time or at a slower speed. The only ships still by the planet are the Outrigger squad of Defenders that are taking out a military unit moving south on the capital city and the TIE fighters of the Kolatill Defense Force that are moving to assist the defenders. They are having great success and you could pull a defender off the battle and send it up to the Aegis. It is just floating in space but any minute will be pulled back to earth. The Aegis is a really good vessel to loose it would lower your ships resources substantially.

Ciro leaves the calculation to Krayt and he is not wrong. 2 of their torpedoes explode into the structure of the Bad Omen. (69 hull points left) Keeg's squad goes starboard and Ciro's runs to port. X-Wing Alpha (Rancor) Squad- Noel Ciro(blue) makes a diving run at the forward shield. He releases his torp into the base of the shield generator He skims to close to the shields and a ripple of energy arcs over his X-Wing creating slight havok to his ships systems (2 strain for X-Wing, but the forward shield is now 1). Will Synar (Green) Targets the same forward shield he destroys the forward shield generator (5d to repair forward shields on Bad Omen). "That's how you do it baby. Jazzy (his astromech) keep a recording on that strike so we can show the trainees how it is done." Carne (Black) is triumphant in his strike on the port shields dropping them and blowing the whole system (port shields on bad omen down and can not be repaired) his rant after the strike can not be printed because this is a PG-13 movie but needless to say he has offered to provide attention to all of the imperial's mothers, Gabby (White)misses on the port gunnery turret but her proton arcs back and spats the turrent taking out one cannon. (no hits but activated guided and hit 1 port laser cannon gone) Omega (Wingripper) Squad- Keeg (lt. Blue)Proton Torpedo blasts through the Heavy Turbolaser Topside causing a burst of flame that quickly extinguishes in the void of space the turret has lost one of the 2 cannons. Dasha (Yellow)takes the starboard shield generator and her proton splashes on the shields, Ranna (purple)takes the starboard shield generator and misses her proton glancing and exploding off the hull. "#@%#, @##$@%#, @#%@%, some word you have never heard before or certain it is a curse word, @#$%, #$%^@!" Dwyer (red) sees the misses and dives even lower her proton strikes the shield generator but she also skimms the shields causing system damage to her X-Wing (starboard shield down to one, Dwyar has 3 system strain to her X-Wing). Summery: first run takes out foreword shields, port shields (can't repair), starboard shields down to 1, one port laser cannon, and one of the large turbolasers on the main turret. You may now directly attack the forward hanger and the port hanger. Foreword hanger has the bombers and the port and starboard hangers have the TIEs not attached to the external launch tubes. You would need to take out the force field over the hanger then you could fire inside for devastating effects. When firing on specific parts of the Bad Omen remember you do receive the size bonus from the ship being so large because the target is smaller. You could choose to just fire at the hull but it can take huge amounts of laser damage. On the FarStar, the crew cheers as reports of shields and weapons falling come in. The first few seconds of the conflict are all Republic attacks but Thyte knows now is where the Imperial start hitting back. Round 2 (your protons are loading and can not be used) 10 TIEs drop from the rapid launch tubes along the port ans starboard edges of the Bad Omen. 5 TIEs launch from the port and starboard hangers. From the Forward hanger come 4 TIE bombers. Your X-Wing sensors are programmed to detect biological and the bombers show life signs far beyond the pilot and gunner sitting in the dual eyeballs of the bombers. The 10 TIEs are full speed arcs at your squads. The ships from the hangers are moving at 1G to clear the hangers and vessel. Your HUD shows the Omens weapons are trying to lock on your ship. You may move and fire on targets. Then the imperial forces will fire on you. Remember you can designate that your ship is above or below the plane of the Bad Omen to try and avoid ventral or dorsal weapons if you are within 1km of the ship. Each large white square is 1km each small square is 100m. The TIEs counters on the map represent 5 fighters or 4 bombers in a squad.

"What is that hummer?, you mean they are using LIVE bombs? Do a quick scan, they might be using Bio-warfare. But first, lets make the odds better for us"
"Keeg to flight, Break and attack!"
Keeg turns the craft and spins the X-wing right into the TIE fighter squadron and practically can see the Pilot shocked look at point blank range. The laser cannons merge on the TIE turning into an expanding gas cloud that Keeg flies through, getting cooked a bit, but breaking up the group and aiding one of his flight mates with the confusion
Mechanics: Piloting, dropping to speed 2 going evasive +1D, and making a 45 degree Turn to the left towards the red TIEs. 1 success, 2 threats, take strain Gunnery: Short range 1D, 3 success, 3 advatages, activating linked, and passing the boost die Hummer does a scan (Hard computers) and gets 1 success with two threat.

Hummer brings up the video from the Captain of the Bad Omen and Dr. Raso's analysis. Keeg realizes that if even one bomber makes it to the planet and drops the bio-weapon the catalyst that has been spreading through Domaz will cause millions to die. Good thing they are 5 minutes and 900,000km from the planet and must go through you and the FarStar to get there.

Slyer: Bridge, if we can I would like to capture one of the Bombers with its bio-hazard weapon intact. Continue to press the attack towards the launch point, bombers still have priority. If possible take out the front hanger.
Slyer is pleased with how well the opening shots have went and hopes the force will help before the casualties start to come in on our side.
Krudar will continue to monitor the scopes and computer while getting into max range, taking time to make sure the ships targeting is spun up. He explains his plan and tells Potshot to take a follow up shot on his. Rest need to hold fire until better odds of hitting.

OOC - Sorry I've been offline a bit. Back into the action.
OOC 2 - Whose squad is closer to the bomber's. If Noell's, he targets bomber. If Keegs, he targets hanger force field.
"Keeg, we're going to have to split duties here. {Closest Squad] will need to stop those bombers. {Second Squad] will concentrate on the Bad Omen and try to make sure no more bombers can be launched". He pulls up on his yoke and turns his X-wing around, getting ready for another run.
"Krayt, let's show the rest of the squad who's got the best astromech. Let me know if you see anything coming in on my 6". Krayt, seeing that his pilot is performing another one of full on charges into the enemy, angles the deflector shield forward.
As soon as [his target} is in range, Ciro fires and misses. Fortunately, his shot is distracting enough to provide a good screen against the Imps getting a good shot at him or his squad. Mechanics: Not Sure any difficulty so leaving those for GM to roll Noell: Pilot (Space) 6 Success, 1 Advantage, 1 Triumph Gunnery: 3 Advantage (Use to add Setback to attacking forces) Krayt: Computers (2P1A v 1D) = 1 Success 3 Advantage. (Boost to next action)

His team is starboard flying past the bad omen and you are port. Bad Omen's bomber hanger is to the front and middle of the ship. You need to take out the force field at the hanger opening and then drop some bombs into the hanger.
Ciro- With that piloting check you spun the X-Wing and came into perfect position. Your laser cannons where wide bouncing off the capital ships hull to no effect.

The rest of Rancor squad bank toward the Bad Omen, following Noell's toward the belly of the beast. Carne makes the turn while stressing his craft, but he manages to be lined up perfect to take a shot on the force field generator protecting the hangar bay. He comes in just behind Commander Ciro and fires his laser cannons from all four wingtips. The lasers hit their mark, blowing the shields away
"Good shot, Carne," Cirro calls out, "that looks like it may have damaged more than just the force field"
Gabby following a little further behind makes her turn and seeing the force field go down fires directly into the hangar bay. His laser streak towards one of the bombers preparing to launch. It explodes on the launch pad, causing havok on the flight deck.
Will, not sure how well the more inexperienced pilots will do, is more cautious and ends up making his turn too wide and can't get a shot at the hangar bay. But the force appear to be with him, as he manages to fly straight into one of the TIE Fighter squadrons, scattering them as they quickly react and try not to ram him. One is not so lucky, but Will manages to snap off a shot with his cannons and blows the eyeball out of the sky. As he flies through the fireball, his ship gets singed a bit.
As the squadron flies up over the Bad Omen, Cirro calls out over the comm, "Good run, team. Now let's get those torps ready and due some real damage."
Mechanics - All ship moving at speed 3 make Turn Maneuver (Average Difficulty). Targeting is Average Difficulty, with Boost for X-Wing Laser have Accuracy Carne - Pilot: 2P2Avs2D 1 Threat 1 Triumph (Take Strain, Boost to Gunnery) Gunnery: 1P3A2Bvs2D 3 Success- 5 Advantage (1 Linked + 1 Crit, or Two Linked) Gabby - Pilot: 2P1A 2D 2 Success 2 Advantage (Boost to Gunnery) Gunnery: 1P2A2Bvs2D 2 Success 3 Advantage (1 Linked) Will - Pilot: 3P1A 2D 6 Advantage (3 to Disrupt Enemy Formation, 2 for Boost to Gunnery) Gunnery: 2P2A2Bvs2D 6 Success 1 Threat (Take Strain)

Slyer sees the communications stations are intently listening, he knows to not interrupt them and hopes that all is good with the captain.
He looks at the scopes and sees the battle is going their way for now and knows it is a matter of time until more TIEs arrive or the Dark Omen jumps.
He is still bothered by the barbaric notion of using a biological warfare weapon, then again they did blow up his planet. He would keep pressing the attack as an enemy eliminated now would make less to deal with later. The mass of the Empire was the strength, here he could eliminate a ship over twice there length and he would.
"Sensors, report, I do not want any surprises, can you tell if the Dark Omen is prepping for jump yet?"
Krudar could see reports coming in and his Dorsal and Ventral crews were ready. Potshot was reliving some past battle, he hushed him some by asking for a report of power available instead of telling him to clear the net, he needed him focused for the fight and he seemed to do better when he let him talk some.

X-Wings Rancor Squad- Ciro(Blue) makes an turn thrusts back then dives down and back toward the Bad Omen. His Cannons miss their mark splashing off the Omen's hull. He pulls up and is racing over the top of the Bad Omen with his squad trying to follow his maneuver. (Ciro has 2 strain) Carne (Black)spins and jukes behind Ciro then pummels the force shield protecting the hanger bay. The shield falls and troopers, droids, atmosphere and equipment begin to vent out of the large bay. 2 Squads of TIE bombers are launching as the shield goes down. (Carne has 1 strain) Gabby (White)fires on one bomber coming out of the hanger bay and destroys it. It spirals off and crashes into the starboard side of the hanger bay disrupting the launch of the next squad of bombers from starboard side of the large hanger. Will (Green) doesn't make the turn but thrusts forward through a squad of TIE and then spotting the last TIE left from WingRippers attacks vaporizes the TIE. (1 strain) WingRipper Keeg (Lt Blue) Keeg's cannons blow the lead TIE in their formation to dust. (2 strain) Dasha (Yellow) Follows her maneuver is smooth she uses the tracking information from keeg's shot and destroys the TIE next to his target. Ranna (Purple)burst forward and passes through the TIE formation she spins her X-Wing and angles so her cannons blast through the TIE just meters from her and into the TIE in line behind him in the formation. Both TIE burst into a flower of gas and debris as Ranna flies through their explosions. (3 strain) Dwyer (Red)Turns and blasts the TIE hitting only a grazing blast with on cannon. (3 strain) One lone TIE is left from the squad. TIE Fighters- All three TIE squads left ignore you. The go full throttle away from the Bad Omen and your X-Wings following the bombers. White- 5 fighters Red- 5 fighters Green- 5 fighters TIE Bombers- The first bomber squad is streaking away and the 2 squads that just left the hanger are following as fast as they can. Your sensors detected at least 3 more squads of bombers in the hanger. Squad 1- 4 bombers Squad 2- 4 bombers Squad 3- 3 bombers Bad Omen - The Bad Omen opens fire on the X-Wing squads. Current Damage Shields F0/P0/S1/A2 Hull Strain Top Turbolaser The heavy turbolaser is slow and unwieldy against fighter craft. To make the shot would be almost impossible. Dasha does not even see the blast coming that vaporizes her X-Wing. The cannon fire flares into the cockpits of Keeg and Dwyer their visors the only thing keeping them from being blinded. The attack leaves nothing of Dasha or her ship. (Dasha is gone) Port Gunnery Turret (1 Cannon) tracks Rancor squad but they are out of range before they can fire. Starboard Gunnery Turret- Ranna's X-Wing is struck sending it into a smoking sparking tailspin. (10 damage so anymore damage and she is in threat of hull breech, 2 setbacks to any attack next round. Her astromech is immobilized (doesn't really do anything) Proton Torpedoes (2 Launchers)The Bad Omen fires both torpedoes from the forward bay at Will. The first tube was damaged in the attack on the hanger above it and though the launch is successful it damages the tube leaving them with one launch tube. The Torpedo slams into Will's X-Wing and he is gone. The second torpedo flies harmlessly into space through the firey cloud that was Will. Ion Cannon (2 cannons) is below the vessel and can not fire on any X-Wings. FarStar On the FarStar you watch the tracking displays for Will and Dasha go red and then shut down. Thyte's metallic arm slams with a loud clang on the weapons post as he curses. Slyer didn't know Dasha except by reputation, but he had served with Will, drank with Will. Watched Will come back from impossible odds and make some smartassed comment to the bridge as he flew back to his hanger. The Squads on bombers are some of the fastest ships in the galaxy and will be on your position in firing range in 2 minutes if the X-wings do not stop them. Astrogation begins to scan for signs to jump drive activity from the Bad Omen. "LT. Slyer we have a hyperspace storm in the system. It seems to emanating from the systems gas giant. No ships will be able to jump into of out of the system. If the Empire is victorious they will be able to pick off all of the freighters that are trying to escape." Lilith speaks from communications,"We have a transmission from PD13 aboard the Aegis. He say he has gained control of the vessel. Imperial Troopers ambushed the crew and have escaped with the Captain as hostage in a YT-2400. He sent to transponder code." Rorn on scans cuts in,"The vessel has gone dark sir. Powered down and shut off the transponder. We have it's last position from before the Aegis was shutdown but that is 4 minutes old. They will be like searching for a nefclaw in a brier thorn patch." next round (you still do not have protons, you could have the astromech make a hard mechanics check to speed up reload)

"Keeg to Squad I am going after the Bombers, we are not going to last long against the Bad Omen and we cannot afford the losses"
Keeg is saddened by the loss of Dasha, but has no time to mourn. The only possibility of destroying the Bad Omen, is the Farstar. And Keeg knows it cannot target both the bombers and the Bad Omen.
He flips his X-wing in a half-loop and starts lining up on the Bombers, easing off the throttle, but still trying to go evasive and make himself a hard target. Even after all the fancy flying keeg still manages to line up a shot and gets one off before continuing his jinking.
Mechanics, doing a 180 at speed 2, while going evasive, 1 success. good enough to take a shot on a bomber GUnnery laser cannons, 1 success 1 advantage.

Slyler: "Thyte have the fighters concentrate on the bombers." "Have the fighters continue to move away from the Dark Omen." "with this storm and if the Dark Omen can not jump the FarStar will take them, our fighters will have much more success against the TIE series." "Gunnery, fire when you are able."
"Comm, sensors, anything more about this freighter that has the captain?"
Krudar winces as the fighters explode, just as soon as they break extreme range him and Potshot will take some revenge.

Is the FarStar going to move forward or maintain position? They are currently halfway between the jump point and the planet. 3 Defender Fighters are also with the FarStar.
