[OOC: so, those healing potions I lifted from the temple, are they standard 2d4+2 jobbies? Also, is that dretch already past me?]

Izzy chugs one of his healing potions, then scrambles along the wall back to the demon-cage room and runs over to Hraken and feeds him the other potion. How's Captain Sinruth looking? Is he totally dead, stable, or still in the throes of almost dying?
[Bonus Cunning Action: Use an Object, getting 6 hp back; Athletics total: 17; Hraken gets 7 hp back.]

OOC: Well darn, there goes the chance to make the weapon swap this turn. Well, I guess it's time for plan...G, I think it is at this point? That sounds about right.
As Blackarrow continues his charge, he hears the Hezrou's taunt and his eyes widen as he realizes its destination. "Kartenix, it's heading towards the civilians! Get them out of there, I'll try to distract it to give them time!"
He turns on his mental afterburners as he charges with renewed speed down the hall after the demon, thinking to himself on the way Magnus, now is not the time for our squabble! You make each one of your followers swear to 'protect those who cannot protect themselves' and to 'bring force of arms against all that is evil' so it's about time you let me do it! The boy, the priestess, and the wizard need the both of us to protect them together. I'll provide the sword arm, I just need you to provide the real sword. Please, don't let me have more innocent blood on my hands.
OOC: Yeah, this is about as close as an attempt to apologize as he's ever going to get. By the way, while we're asking about Sinruth, what's the news on those lovely lightning gauntlets and magic chain-whip thing? Those could be pretty handy against these physical-resistant foes.
Athletics: 17, so extra-fast dash. Con Save: 15. (thanks proficiency!)

Malik, seeing the demon in his sights, makes a vow of emnity against it "Either you or I will fall this day!" he screams as he moves into melee with the horrible fiend. He makes his way to the beast and his axe bites into the demon. Malik notices his weapons are not as effective against such a foe but he makes do.
"Paelius and Oloric, stand back and any magic you have to aid against this beast, USE IT NOW! MAGNUS!"
(Vow of Enmity to gain advantage on attacks. Attack: 9+2=11 and 15+2=17 (WOO BLESS!) for a hit. Damage: 10 (half for 5). Con Save vs Poison = 22)
Edit OOC: Any reason blackarrow is attempting to use the sword when we have 2 paladins? Aren't you also dex based anyways? Just seems odd

Fargrim pauses his blessing chant for a few seconds to hit himself with a Lesser Restoration spell. He is no longer Poisoned.
[Question: does the Bless affect targets that move out of the 30 ft range AFTER the spell is cast, or do they have to stay next to me to keep getting it? The spell description only says that I "bless up to three creatures [...] within range".]

OOC: Honestly, I'm just having him act as the courier to get it to Malik. Unfortunately, since Sertanian blocked off the short route, BA has to take the INCREDIBLY LONG route, so I'm trying to move him as quickly as I can to get the Avenger to Malik ASAP. Granted, he still thinks he's charging in to save the day, but I don't want to ruin his little moment he's having. He's having a rough day anyway, so I have to at least let him have a moment to think he's actually relevant to the combat.

OOC: well Malik won't likely be standing when you get there now anyways so you still will have some saving to do here.
That wizard probably just killed us since you are trapped with goblins and demons and the group is split up

Kartenix rushes to the hall and the clot of Dretches blocking passage. He strikes a furious blow downing one then another dretch. Izzy sneaks around the demons and goblins battling and drops down by Hraken. The Goblins circling the Hobgoblin leader do not even notice the Thief as he pours the healing potion into his fanged maw. As he shakes his head and growls Izzy pulls his hand back quickly saving a finger. The Panther stands,"Where is the demon? I will have words with the beast." Sinruth is down a goblin Shaman chanting over him and 8 goblin women protecting him. Blackarrow uses the opening the Captain creates to slide past the last two dretches in the hall. He makes it to stand next to Izzy and Hraken. Malik moves forward wwith his battle cry and as the creature crunches over the frosted black pool he breaks the covering of ice then closes on the paladin. Malik's blows fall and the demon smiles to find his weapons are just steel. Paelius sees the pool begins to swirl and curl forward and freezes it again instead of attacking the demon. He backs into the hallway. Fargrim heals himself from the potion. (OOC I have always played when you are blessed it stays with you) The Goblins kill the Dretch in the hall and begin to retreat into the first level. They leave the last two Dretches in the hallway to Fargrim and the Captain. The shamon casts healing on Sinruth who awakens. Hraken stands. The demon tears into Malik both claws ripping into him for 22 damage. Malik's axe thrusts into the demon's mouth pinning into his jaws. (2 claws hit then a nat 1 bite his mouth is pinned open and he must take a round to remove it if he wants to use his bite again). The Dretches attack fargrim and the Captain with claw and bite. Only a bite lands on Fargrim (3 damage). Oloric cast fire on the demon. Then back down the hallway. The Wizard pulls his grandson forward and the Priestess follows. They move to the balcony and the Wizard begins to cast levitate to bring them to the roof. Next after Oloric Captain Kartenix 19, Izzy 19, Sinruth 16 (down), Blackarrow 14, Malik 14, Paelius 14, Fargrim 13, Goblins 12, Hraken 10 (down), Demon 8, Oloric 5, Wizard Sertanian 3 Gnome Arcanists AC13 Hp 36 (12 left and 12 left) Demon, Hezrou Ac 16, HP 136 (55 left) Demon Dretch AC 11, Hp 18 (dead,8,8, dead, dead, dead, dead,8,8,8) 5 left Captain Kartenix Jario AC18 Hp 52 (32hp left) Wizard Sertanian Jario AC 15 Hp 40 (30hp left) Thurann Jario AC 14 Hp 7 Goblin Women AC 15 Hp 11 (90 left) Attachments:

Oloric chants and a Chromatic Orb of Fire appears in his hands. "Eat this!" he yells at the demon as he tosses the orb. The orb hits the demon solidly, the sorcerer dismayed as he sees his spells potency is not fully realized against such a foe. He fires off a bolt of flame at the demon in exasperation but it flies wide. Oloric backs up trying to get enough distance as he sees the avenger barely stand against the horrible demon.
(Attack: 22, Extra Success! Damage: 23 (8,8,7!) but is halfed against it I believe. Second attack is a miss.)
**Malik takes the hits from the demon and still stands but it is clear he cannot take another round of damage from such a powerful foe as his legs nearly buckle. He grits his teeth. (Will wait til other act before his attacks in the new round)

"Well, I hope those words are something like 'RARG KILL RARG'! This way, kitty." Izzy runs down the hall; as he leaps over Sinruth, he says "Let's go, sleepyhead, there's still stabbin' to do!" Izzy emerges into the pool room and fires another two bolts at the hezrou; one kind of nicks the back of his head, the other goes "k-chink" off the wall.
[Attack roll total: 22, damage total: 9/2=4; extraordinary success attack roll total: 11, whiff. Your Extraordinary Success is nothing but an ORDINARY FAILURE.]

Blackarrow as he prays (or maybe bargins) notices the weapons begin to glow with a blue radiance. The greatsword morphs and bends reforming into a platinium bow. The grip of the bow is a dragon's head with the upper and lower limbs the wings of the dragon. Blackarrow a female voice of grace and purity. "You need return to being the champion of good you once were. You will be needed." The Dragonbow holds the same qualities as when it was a sword. It will work for Blackarrow for the encounter if he spends a inspiration point. (remember everyone has at least one. I think Izzy has 2.)
Sinruth does not follow,"I must think of my people first. Goodbye warriors and luck to you. May you die well." He is heading for the north passage with the goblins.
Paelius continues with his Ray of Frost the wizard is spent otherwise. His ray just slows the demon.

OOC: For the sake of keeping the fight going, I'll post assuming BA'll spend the inspiration (plus, I think it's a good deal for us), however I figure you guys want input on this one. What do you think? Is it a waste to spend a potentially life-saving inspiration point to use a weapon Malik can use anyway when BA gets close enough (although it's still another turn of running before I can get it to him)? For perspective, in his hands it'll be +10 to hit with 1d8+2d10+6 damage, so assuming all average rolls that's 21.5 damage per hit, with a 21 attack roll meaning one extraordinary success per turn, so adding in the 1d8 from the combat maneuver I've been saving brings the total damage to 47.5 for the total round, taking down the Hezrou in one attack action.
Blackarrow continues to rush forward as he mumbles "I never stopped, I just changed tactics. Still, you have a deal." By the end of the combat beat, the Hezrou finally comes into his view. He only hopes he can stop the demon in time.

OOC: We all have inspiration points? Oloric had two and already used one this fight. So does Malik actually have one? You have said in 2 places where Oloric each got one. Did everyone start with one?
