Let's place the corrosives on the ceiling directly between the two heat signatures, that way we'll be a move away from Gorak either way.
"Remember, the second that ceiling gives, I charge straight at Gorak, knock out his comm, and tie him up with the rappel line, but keep him awake. You do the same with the other signature if it's a hostile. If it's the Princess, help me restrain Gorak."

Gammer set the bead of corrosives in a circle and stands back on one side. The bead starts to smoke and burn into the floor. You stand waiting for it to fall.

OOC: What're the rules for surprise attacks? I know our initiative is decided by Cool checks, but do we get any boost or preemptive strike for catching the enemy off guard? Also, do we need to wait for it to fall, or can we just kick the weakened section now and charge before he has a chance to see the corrosive acting?
Furthermore, if we don't get a free action, I'll spend a Force point to improve my Cool check. This entire mission depends on us getting the first move.

Yes you can jump on the floor or toss something really heavy on it to help it fall. It would probably bubble the paint on the ceiling but not do the complete burn through. As long as you are cooler than the guard(s) below are vigilant you could get the first move. If the guard(s) does not detect anything you will have surprise.

Then I think it's go time. Time for checks! I also just realized that I can't spend a Destiny point since my Cool is already P dice only. Oops!
Mechanics: Stev rolls 2P on Cool for a total of 3 successes 1 advantage. I hope it's enough!
Gammer rolls 3P on Cool for a total of 1 triumph 3 successes 1 advantage! AWESOME! GO GAMMER!
OOC: For Initiative, are we considering a triumph to be just a success and 5 advantages? That could make a big difference for Gammer's roll, because I'd bet Gorak and whoever else is down there have a fair chance of beating either of our rolls in terms of successes.

For Initiative a Triumph is considered it's own item. So the only thing that beats triumph is 2 triumphs. It goes Triumphs, Success, the advantages.

"Here goes nothing," Gammer jumps up thrusting his legs into the middle of the burning circle. It bursts though the floor and Gammer disappears in a cloud of dust. He lands on the circle of floor and rolls backwards toward the "princess" heat signature firing at the silhoutte he believes to be Gorak. His fire is close causing Gorak to shift out of cover slightly. (no hits, 1 boost for you) Stev jumps after the landing is clear of Gammer and rolls to a broken table he slides behind. His Rifle bolt arcs into the Security Chief but he does not drop. (9 strain damage) Gorak fires at the rolling Gammer striking him and causing his teeth to rattle as the energy courses over him. (7 strain). Gammer slumps to the ground like he is stunned but you notice his hand is still tight on his weapon. He yells "Kozak neets-ka, or the Hostage and everyone else DIES!" You notice he is holding a detonator switch in his off hand. Sorry, I did not relate positions well. Gorak has slid behind the Princess as he announces for you to stand back or everyone dies. I picture is worth a thousand words. Stev and Gammer may adjust their moves in the next round for the maps information.

Kaiya stays down and fires on Fang she is laying in the middle of the street an easy target.(5 strain to Fang, Kayia has 4 strain)
The 3 mouse troopers are 40m from Tola's post.
From the Doorway of the Aegis a bolts arc again. They strike Pvt Kem twice (16 total strain) as he attempts to move to jump down and move to Gorak he falls.

Fang and Samarian are still engaged with Qesya. Seeing the wookie fall Samarian moves back even more out of her reach and fires his blaster the stun shot hits Qesya in the snout causing her to be shaken (crit: head ringer). Fang ignores Kayia's shot and continues to press his stun stick into her back. She finally slumps forward and is still.
The 3 final droids just detonate themselves. Boom looks with saddness at his controls and begins to shake them. Anialia drops her controls with a curse.
Scoryn and Biv move to a firing position within building 6 and set to fire on Kaiya decide to remove Kaiya before they move to Gorak. The strike her twice putting out the field commander. They then move out the front of the building and to Fang and Samarian.
Blu races back to the cockpit of the Aegis shuttle and begins to disengage the auto pilot. He commands," Boom and Anilia break out the rest of the splat grenades we need to delay the reinforcements heading to Gammer's position." He pushes the yolk forward. "It's time for a bombing run."
Boom moves to the open shuttle doorway pulling a crate of splat grenades behind him.
Anilia takes one grenade and waits for Blu to get them in position.

As the Aegis moves into position, Boom pulls several grenades into his arms. Anilia is a bit put-off by the large grin across the alien's face.
Blu shouts back, "Okay Boom, time for some fun!" Boom gleefully starts tossing the grenades at the security team below, "Boom! Boom!" Anilia, almost missing her opportunity, quickly chucks her grenade. As tbe orbs fall to the ground, Blu takes the Aegis away and around for another pass

Vallen reacts first sprinting to the building #8 South an in the arch of the doorway. He starts to work on the doorway carefully. (He had Initiative over the Aegis) Unda raises his weapon as a grenade strikes his face. His helmet flies off as he is enveloped in the adhesive grenade. (KO) Thanis jumps away but not far enough as the grenade pins his to the ground. His hands still free he aims and fires a stun shot at the doorway of the Aegis. The bolt rattle Anilia (7 strain to Anilia) Tann rushes to join Vallen at the doorway. She spins and fires at the door of the Aegis. The second bolt strikes Anilia and she is knocked unconscious thrown backward into the shuttle by the force. (8 more strain to Anilia KO) Cpl Teyjo exits the building and ducks behind a trashbin. 20m of open space lies between him and building #8 with the shadow of the Aegis passing overhead. "This is not my day." He readies himself for the run. Scoryn, Biv, Fang and Samarian cross to building number 8. Biv begins to disarm the doorway. They are on the east side of the building and do not have a shot on the Aegis. Baraduk leaves the entrance to building #6 and is moving to building #8. (within the building will be in the next post)

Last round exact description of move. Gorak grabs the princess from behind using his blaster arm. Then stares at Stev " This is not the only deadman switch. You move she dies, you die, everyone dies. You lose!" He has moved the deadman to position behind her back with his hand and the switch pressing against the small of her back to direct her.

Blu hears a thump behind him. He takes a glance back and sees Anilia crumpled on the floor of the shuttle. "Jango's bones! Okay, Boom," he shouts back, "Anilia down so it's up to you."
As Blu banks the Aegis, he spies Scoryn team crossing to Building 8. "Boom, change of plans. We need to give Stev and Gammer some more time by keeping those kidnapping kung away. Vape them!" He banks the the shuttle and charges toward the enemy. Boom grabs some more grenades, chittering to himself excitedly.
"Target the building and keep them out. And Boom, stay in cover." Blu flies in low, and starts firing the shuttles guns wide, but fails to scatter the security team. Boom throws a grenade, aiming for the door, which Blu has aligned up perfectly with the shuttle door. The grenade hits the door and explodes, sealing it tight with adhesive.
Blu: Gunnery Check to intimidate Scoryn's team. - 1A 2P vs 4D (Largest Will of Team, no one has Discipline skill). Net Score, Failure but 3 Advantage. Uses two to give Boost die to Boom Boom: Ranged (Light) Check - 3A 1P 1B vs. 2D. Net 4 Successes

Inside the building.
What Stev saw in his minds eye did not account for Gorak's despiration. He see a glint in the Rodian's eye as the vest on Jittonne burst forward enveloping Stev in splat adhesive. The younger scout is blown against the wall by the force. (Gorak held an incidental action to drop the switch, dropping an object is a free action.)
Gammer uses the distraction to rise from playing possum and tackle Gorak pulling him past the Princess and slamming him into the wall. He follows with a punch to the side of Gorak head. (Mechanics: new roll Brawl (grapple) higher difficulty to multistrike 3 success and 3 advantages. 2 total damage for 11 strain on Gorak)
Gorak is under Gammer against the wall near the rather trapped doorway that leads to the stairs. (Gorak's move)

Outside this round
As the Aegis moves into position as Blu arcs a burst of heavy laser fire well away from the security team to far away to effective, Boom is very effective tossing 2 grenades to splatter the doorway. The scout Biv was working to disarm the traps as the grenades strike the doorway the trap goes off Biv is stunned, splatted, splatted, then splatted again.
Vallen disarms the traps on the west doorway and slides within.
Thanis pulls on the adhesive sticking his leg to the street. He begins removing his boot, armor, and cutting his pants to pull free.
Tann slips past the door and follows Vallen within communicating to the group,"West door breached."
Cpl Teyjo sees the bolts fire from the Aegis. "They are not paying me enough." He stays behind the trashbin and considers shooting himself with the stunner which seems better than getting splatted or shot.
Scoryn, Fang and Samarian rush down the north side of the building to the open west doorway. They just make it in to the doorway.
Baraduk makes it to the southern end of building 6.
Passing over the building Blu and Boom see a skylight with the glass removed with a floor with a hole in it directly below. Standing at the bottom of the hole is the "princess" looking up.

Inside the building
Gorak spits, hoping to get gammer in the face. With a strangled grasp knowing he is going to pass out soon "You lose, never get out now, in time, Heh heh heh."
Action going to activate stun grenade and roll it behind Gammer, aiming (move), or moving to free the hand. 3Y1G1B vs 2P (upgraded because of being engaged) = 4 Success, 3 advantage, activating blast... tho i think that gets me also and knocks me out really good. Nighty night
Gorak goes out along with Gammer. Jittoone (the princess) looks up the hole for a moment then moves to Gorak and takes the keys to her binders, Gammers blaster carbine, and his comm. She moves back to the hole and begins to look up it while scanning the doorways. Over the Aegis comm comes a message,"Extraction team this is the hostage. I am on the 3rd floor of the 4 story office with a clear exit point for a rooftop extraction. Enemy units are closing on my position. Assistance required.
