About the sleep spell in the hall of Valor the spell affects 29 hitpoints of goblins. If they each have 11 hp, then only 2 fall asleep. I'm hoping that they each lost d2 hitpoints by jumping down from the rafters, which are 20 feet high. That's quite a distance to jump down.

I was making the last one a light sleep with advantage to wake up if shaken, stirred, or attacked and only asleep for 30 seconds. Goblins are light and amazing in their leaping abilities. Their big feet are very shock absorbent How long do you think before the goblincicle on the rafter beam thaws and falls to the poor Elsir Vale map below?

I think in d4+2 rounds, he'll fall down. About the yelling goblin: Waking up a sleeping creature, caused by the spell, takes an action, according to the description in the PHB. "..unconscious, until te spell ends, the sleeper takes damage, or somone uses an action to shake or slap the sleeper awake."

Okay he will need to shake or slap next round. Maybe the frozen goblin fall on the sleeping goblin.

Paelias is on the roof of the Hall of Great Valor. Can he take cover against the rock throwing Ogres? He looks for a place on the roof where he has 3/4 cover from both ogres. Is that possible?

The roof is peaked and he can move to the side that gives cover on the ogre.

Is it possible that Paelias took cover there as soon as he climbed onto the roof? This may be a little late, but at first you didn't tell us that there were ogres outside who could hit us with rocks. That has only become known to me now. But Paelias would have seen that as soon as he climbed onto the roof.
Moreover, in your OOC list of combatants, I don't see any wounded goblins. However, some of the goblins we encountered were wounded by the explosion, which also wounded Paelias (some of them were asleep at the time). So, are these wounded goblins still inside the Hall? Or are they outside with the others?

The wounded/ asleep ones are inside the hall those are not counted in the outside numbers.

I just wanted to note about Malik: I sure hope he survives and all but being whacked by a pew in a church and dying would be a pretty freaking hilarious way for a Paladin to bite the dust!
And i'll add i'm glad Oloric is rolling well. He missed the goblins 3 times but kicked the ogre's butt.

Admin: I'm not positive on your thoughts for as this battle moves forward. Malik wouldn't want to miss out on joining at the bridge but he's also still very low on HPs. Based on his condition he wouldn't just be stupid and run while pretty hurt (I rolled a 1 and 2 on healing). Every hit i've taken has been 10+ so in his head Malik wouldn't just throw his life away at least without seeing it happening right in front of his face. He probably needs a short rest to try to spend his one HD in hopes of enough HP's to be useful.
Or would he have any other knowledge of healing options, etc? 1st level resources run out super fast hehe. Just don't want one of the "tanks" left out if the next battle is also big. If he can find a bow he might try to be ranged and help unless you have another idea on how he could better contribute.

I wonder if the large number of enemies and their strategic position in the gate towers is an instance of 'overkill': "the amount by which destruction or the capacity for destruction exceeds what is necessary".

Well, there's Golden Lions currently handling the hand-to-hand, so I think we need to focus on taking out the shaman and the ranged gobs in the towers. The Lions will hopefully be able to keep the ogres busy for a few rounds at least. Question at this point is, what've we got for ranged spell action? I know Fiery Almok's got that wand that he fried the ogre in the temple with, but he's an npc, and he's not gonna get there for like five rounds. What've the rest of the casters got still in the box besides cantrips?

Is Oloric tapped out, too?

Oloric has one 1st spell slot and then cantrips. Firebolt can hit 120' for 1d10.
Malik has nothing good. Thrown axes but didn't have a bow or time to find one
