The door slides sideways and opens to a room that looks to be part lab and part living quarters. One man is strapped to a medical bed with full sensors attached another is pointing a laser rifle at the doorway. Under the dirt, grim, and gauzed head you think it is head of the MS-133 Dr. Brunou.

Outside Sasha stands by the e-web waiting for the ground team to arrive. She see a movement in the jungle brush and waits for what appears. What burst from the dusky jungle is not the ground team. They look demonic like the hounds of the nine hells she would hear stories of as a child. Four long pale limbs with spikes jutting from joints and clawed padded feet. Hound like heads with horns and spikes. A half dozen have dashed from the jungle and the brush behind them is shaking with what could be hundreds more rushing forward. They are 60m from the fort and closing fast.
Analia moved to the north e-web to see if it was still functional. She looks north and see similar movement. The demons from the north stand upright and hold primitive weapons the ready. They march forward in disciplined lines toward the fort. Each is long limbed, pale, with spikes jutting from face, shoulders, and limbs. She pulls up her binoculars and sees they wear pieces of armor and their weapons are crafted from parts of old weapons. From her knowledge she would think it was old Mandolorian make. They are 45m from the fort and closing fast.

Stev motions for the clone troopers to circle the less combat-inclined members of the group while he draws his vibroknife and tries to sneak up and take a flanking position opposite Amura behind whatever has been following them. He'll also point at his comm and nod to Jessa, trusting that she will be of much greater use continuing the conversation than she would be fighting whatever lies in the brush.
Mechanics: Stealth Check 3P1A1B vs ?. Raw score 1 triumph, 3 successes, 1 advantage.

PD13 hunkers down in pilots seat in his otter box and wrapped in aluminum foil waiting for the EMP. Just before the countdown expires he unplugs from the Aegis and powers Aegis down. Then powers himself down. He has created system reset signal for himself will trip when the EMI falls back down within his operating range.

 12 minutes to the EMP the skies are dark and the red sun of Aariss is just a sliver in the sky. The dual moons of Aariss III are showing in the sky overhead and stars and the Kathol Rift is beginning to appear. Sasha and Analia have no time to gaze at the night sky as creatures are closing quickly at all sides. The call down to the group at the bunker and to Stev at the main troop. "We have possible unfriendly forces to the north and south. Look to be outnumbered 10 to 1 or more. Could use a dozen troopers in power armor about now." Makio hears the call and crawls up the walls to the last e-web. ---- Inside the bunker Gammer sees Sivu is making his play and he follows in his Stormtrooper armor. The doctor looks to Sivu in his officer uniform and breather mask and then Stormtrooper Gammer. "Thank the Emperor you have arrived. My fellow scientist Dr. Theda needs medical assistance beyond my knowledge base." Sigurd looks over at the medical bed and sees from a quick glance that the machines are running his functions but the Dr. Theda has no brain activity. "Trooper get your squad to take the crates over there with us. They have fragile artifacts so handle with care." The Doctor moves to a table and picks up a datapad and a wrapped triangle the size of the Plaque of Kastays."Sola where are you girl. We need to get moving before they attack again. Sola." ---- Stev hears the message from Amura and from Sasha. He knows the ULAVs coulds get their in a few minutes but that would leave the main group without their firepower. Their team will be 15 minutes from the HQ. Theta comes forward,"Sir, look at you motion scanner." He holds his gauntlet up with the motion display. Hundreds of blips are moving past you just out of sight range in the jungle. They are moving faster than a normal human could possibly run. Maybe Amura or Samarion could move that fast. Mixed with them are smaller blips that look to just be rushing out of the way of the large blips. "The nearest small blips are going to pass by right there." Theta drops to one knee and prepares his weapon. Amura, Samarion, Stev, and Theta are moving 50m before the main group. (OC sorry missed your stealth) Stev and Amura slide into the brush moving to a concealed position in the jungle. The creatures that have been following are now quickly moving. They don't seemed worried about stealth. They are bipedal reptilian creatures about 1m tall. They hold primitive spears and bone knives and one even has a rusted knife that looks to have been manufactured. They are a group of three rushing through the brush and will pass Samarion and Theta's position in a moment. |

PD13 readies his power down in 11 minutes.
Jessa takes over communication with Kyli,"An EMP wave is coming from a gravitational disturbance of the gas giants. It will reach the planet in 11 minutes. We would suggesting protecting and electronic you have."
"Pulse EMP giants in alignment... of course... project storm giant ... destabilize giants ... rip outer layers off... my ship... MY SHIP..." The communication cuts off.
PD13 can see through the driods Kyli running back the way his group came from his arms waving over his head,"We must get to ship... no time... will not make it.." He leaves the range of your sensors.

Slacker uploads PD13 personality files to the pit droids this takes. This takes 517.56423 seconds with the EMI interference. Then if the Jarrells left with the Verpine, slacker directs them to turtle down down inside of the ruins. This will take a few minutes.

Stev inspects the creatures while he has the chance. He considers it odd that they would be acting so haphazardly after being so quiet. Are they aggressively running towards something, or fearfully running away from something?

Stev is pretty sure they are running away from the big blips.
Boom! Take the hill! Boom! Take the valley! Boom! Take this planet! Boom! Take the Galaxy for the Mandolorians!
The drive is booming in the back of the trooper's minds They hear they call in their minds chant as one.
Jessa and the other's in the main body see the troopers raise weapons as one and scream into the night sky.

The Mandodemons to the north begin to march forward and Analia doesn't wait for orders. She opens fire with the E-Web cutting into the Mandodemon bodies.
Hearing the weapon fire Makio and Sasha open on the Wolfdemons to the south.

Dr. Brunuo holds his packages close as he leavees the bunker. He looks around not seeing the units of troopers he expected. The shuttle he expected,"Where is the shuttle. Where is your unit officer. We are going to die if we don't leave. We must leave now."
As the e-webs burst into action he rushes back to inside the bunker.

As the bolt burst along the ground the wolfdemons howl and rush forward.

The reptilemen rush into the clearing before Samarion and Theta. Theta is holding his weapon in shaky hands resisting the urge to chant his allegiance.
Samarion sees the creatures and lets out a long howl and he races after them.
Stev and Amura see Samarion race after the reptilemen as Theta just watches his eyes glazed. Stev can hear the call to battle in his mind.

Stev knows that, at this point, the troopers are lost. He might be able to keep Theta in his right mind, but the others are turning wild. He needs them out of those APCs before they do something stupid.
"Jessa, Amura, take one of the APCs from the clones and get to the scout team. We don't have much time, so go full throttle. I'll try to shake Theta out of this and join you with the other APC as soon as I can!"
Stev runs in front of Theta and looks him straight in the eyes. "Theta, I know the rest of your men are lost, but you can still stay with me. I need you to fight this. I know it's pounding and roaring in your mind just like it is in mine, but we can both resist this. You just need to choose to follow me, not some chant, and we'll get through this."
Mechanics: Assuming it's the same check from earlier. Leadership Check 1P1A vs 2D. Net result 1 success.

Sivu replies to the doctor "There is an electrical storm that will arrive in 10 minutes. That storm will shut down most electrical systems on the planet, including our shuttle. Until the storm passes in two days, we must remain on planet. I would recommend that you begin a lockdown sequence with a manually accessible override, if one is available." |

Stev's words bring Theta ot of the trance falling over him. Samarion has disappeared into the brush as Stev and Theta return to the ULAVs to find Jessa is in one coming forward to pick up Amura. Theta and Stev that the rear guard one finding the troopers had abandoned it. Jessa explains that they formed up and began running into the jungle. Your suits motion detector also can track the other suits and you find they are moving roughly toward the camp.

The girls are firing in all directions as Boom, Gammer, Sigurd and Sivu attempt to deal with Dr. Brunuo. "The pulse will disrupt the e-webs. Nothing will stop them."
"Well that just means we need to kill them all in 9 minutes thats all." Gammer pulls of the blinding trooper helmet and turns to Boom and Sigurd."Let's not keep the ladies waiting."
Sigurd is beside the medical bunk he has checked the readings again and the Dr. Theda is dead and has been dead for about 16 hours.

Stev hops into the driver's seat of the APC and, while Theta settles into the gunner's seat, he starts revving up the engines and starts scouring the forest to see if he can find a more direct path to the scout team.
Mechanics: Would Short Cut reduce the travel time to the main HQ?

Sivu draws his blasters and moves to reinforce Analia, since she doesn't have a second E-Web on her side. As he moves, he begins to wonder why these two large forces would choose to converge on this exact location. He will have to examine the crates Dr. Brunou was so determined to protect earlier. They may be transmitting some form of signal that draws the hostiles to this position. |

roll for success you are currently 2 minutes (12 rounds) from the HQ. Success will cut a round off and cut down a round for each advantage.

Sivu sees the mandodemons are moving in formation. Analia has cut down a dozen but a score more appear from the jungle to replace them. Sivu looks to his scanner and sees the jungle is teaming with life forms moving toward them. It looks to be hundreds on each side. He fires his blaster hitting the mandodemon twice and the creature just shrugs them off.
Gammer calls to Boom as he runs down the fortification to the speeders left below. "Boom bring your boom and let's put down some of these things." When Boom arrives he will begins to race at the front line of wolfdemons and hopefully grenade them into the next world.
Sola awakens from her place bound in the APC. She begins to scream,"Let me out. They will kill us all."
Sigurd is looking over the body as Dr. Brunuo enters and begins to close the blast door behind him. "They will die out there the fools."
