Book shows ranged light for all grenades, but yea I see where you are coming from. Then again light is mostly just pistols, heavy can use grenade launcher.

I don't think the skill for guns at all connects to throwing things so I switched it to athletics. A grenade launcher would be ranged(heavy) because it is a rifle style weapon. It also gives Athletics a combat function and makes it worth having. So use brawn and athletics for throwing your grenade. So Lodor please roll and Athletics check to appease my sense of logic for you frag grenade throw.

I think Athletics would be better as well, or then if you have non-tech place throwing spears, knives what have you then a good warrior from there has ranged light? He then picks up a pistol and can use it? Athletics does make much more sense and helps out on talent tree when you get physical training from soldier trees.

After adjusting what was a very odd way to throw a grenade, Lodor throws it properly. He notes that the explosion was much more disappointing that he first thought it was, but still effective.
Mechanics: Athletics Check 1P2A vs 1D1S. Net result 1 success 4 advantages. Using 2 to activate Blast 6, other 2 used to give anybody who really needs it a boost die. 9 damage to main target, 7 to others caught in the blast.

Amura has some skill athletics and a nice brawn score, I guess I should be bowling for dollars. I can chuck the next one.
"Lodar that was nice but you throw like a lizard, we will have to get you on the court back on ship."

Ooc I have used ranged light for thrown objects...like darts or tossing requires good hand eye coordination. Athlectics is for jumping rolling and climbing.. gross motor skills. Regardless up to gm
"Good place for a smoke grenade when assaulting a chokepoint, learned this from an AWOL stormtrooper who was a boarding specialist... don't ask when or where tho"
Tosses a smoke grenade into the hole mainly for effect. 1 success 2 advantages
"Now you can use the smoke cover to move in... maybe the space wizard can even use his fancy light stick to give us cover while we move in"

OOC: Throwing something is a gross motor skill, foot position and motion, shifting of weight, hip turn, building of torque, follow through. It's a whole body action which makes me think athletics. One of my certified areas of teaching is Physical Education so I can state in my "professional opinion" throwing a grenade is far closer to athletics than shooting a gun. It could also be argued it is coordination which would actually give that skill a purpose.
2 frag grenades and a smoke grenade later there is no blaster fire coming from the hole in the doorway. There is smoke, some screaming, a few sobs but no blaster fire.

Boom fires on the officers and Sasha coldly finishes them off. By the time you follow Que into the corridor you just see a mass of dead around Que who hunches slightly his lightsabers hanging at his side.
Scourne and her group approach carefully from the south then let up a cheer when they see Que.
"You brought Jedi," The Shadorman states to Scourne."I did not know you brought Jedi."
"Neither did I,"Scourne states coldly.

Thirteen locates the shuttle hanger bay control booth and jacks into a computer port. PD13 feels lonely but inspired by the short lived pit droid revolution. He hopes his brethren will reactivate and dismantle the shuttle. Slacker will attempt to remotely reboot them by sending them some "maintenance" work orders.
Mechanics: Computers Check with bonus for specialty: 3 successes, 2 advantages. Uses advantages to wake up PD13 after Mynocks defense system goes down.

Lodor takes a moment to be sure the blasters won't return. "Sounds like they've had enough" he whispers "but I'm not sure how well a surrender order will go. I'll be ready in case any of them think about causing trouble." Lodor will stay where he is and ready a blaster shot on the first enemy who tries to renew the combat.

You receive a message from the New Republic's secured comm. "Pilots, this is Ensign Sivu of Team C. We have commandeered an Imperial shuttle and are leaving with the mission--the mission as successful as was possible under the circumstances. Do not fire on the shuttle leaving the third base, I repeat, do not fire on the shuttle leaving the third base. We will alter our transponders and regroup with the rest of the crew once we have left the range of enemy cannons. Please avoid approaching our position and compromising our deception. Ensign Sivu out."

Amur smells blood a lot of blood in the room. Looking in he see shattered workstations, broken screens, and bodies laying all over. As he looks in a young officer with a shattered leg places his blaster under his chin,"I go before the prophet." and fires removing most of his head. None in the room is doing more than moaning.
The Shadormen are cleaning up the station removing a few pockets of resistance but you have control of the base. The command center is trashed, but you could jack you datapads in and have some control. You shuttles and TIEs are all gone.

Amura sees the slaughter, the imps deserved no better. "Has anyone tried the data jack, where is the droid?" "What do you propose now Que?"

Que and the others rejoin you in the command center. The Shadormen have control.
The Warlord Namh AuthShador speaks to Gorak and company,"The King will not be happy to hear of Locain's fall and his son's imprisonment. We will leave enough Shadormen here to guard the station and the prisoners. These station were Shador before the Empire and they will be Shador again." He orders his men back to the Ore transport. "Come my friends we have a war to win and Karadol scum to send crawling back into their holes.
Lodor and Sasha search the ship and find PD13 sending message after message out not knowing if they made a connection to his people. He begins to think maybe next time to use Super Battle Droids but they lack the processor and independent sub routines of a good pit droid..
It takes some time for the Shador men to get organized and load the Ore Transport, but then you are off.
(Again unless you do something to influence the outcome of the other stations or space battle)
