With a sigh of disappointment, Delrin takes his remaining blood-stained cloak and uses it to cover up Perf's corpse. "Apparently, not everyone is treated the same way by whatever traps await. Before we pick a path, however, I'm very concerned about these orbs over our heads. Considering Oloric is orb-free, as were those of us who were invisible, it apparently requires someone to be observed to activate. The question is, does that mean there's someone watching us right now? Possibly through these very same orbs?"
He pulls an arrow out of his quiver and continues "If we'd like a physical test of what these things are, I could always toss an arrow into one, and see what happens to it. Granted, that's likely to make whoever's watching unhappy, but that's the only thing I can do to test it."

Oloric will read the manual he has further trying to get a clue on what we should do to not die

{No, the rest of the formerly invisible folks now have orbs; it's just Olly that doesn't. If I hadda guess, it's probably the dragon-blood.}
Izzy looks up at the orbs and frowns. "Think they're probably some kinda tracking system for the spells that run this place. Go ahead and poke one of 'em; I'm kinda curious too!"

Oloric looks over the manual and begins to open it. He finds the arcane writing within swirls and morphs before his eyes. He finds he can not focus on the writing. He would need to attempt to focus the magical writing. (If Oloric has access to 5th level spells he may read the manual. If not he would take 6d8 damage to his psyche trying to comprehend the book) As he is looking a folded yellowed group of papers fall from the book.
If Delrin pokes the orb his arrow point disintegrates as it enters the orb.
The cleanforge is extending arms at the witches head to try and take it from Malik. They are not pulling hard (Athletic DC6 to resist).
The ones by Perf and slowly extending from the wall but keeping their distance from Fargrim.

Malik resists the pull off the creature and kicks it with his armoured boot.

27 points of damage. The words swirl and attack Oloric's sanity. He pulls away but his mind is shaken.
The creature rushes away from Malik back into it's port in the wall.

OOC: What's the current year? It might help to know how old these papers are. Also, I'm assuming the rest of us can't tell what happened to Oloric?
After noting that they should make sure not to touch the orbs in the future, Delrin hurries over to grab up the fallen pages before the automatons get the idea to take them away and starts reading. As the tale printed on the pages quickly descends into a report of slaughter, he lets out a displeased groan. "So, this journal claims the route with the runes is the correct one, as the cobweb hall leads to death and the middle hall is some form of maze. Then, we have a juggernaut behind a hidden door, a gas trap, and some special material necessary for entering the Vault that isn't the manual or amulet, but the fool didn't see fit to say what it is. Just once, I wish someone would take clean, straightforward notes on how to avoid deathtraps."

The current year is 1999 since the liberation from the dragonlords. The Dwarf empire died out about 900 years ago. So the parchment letters are a good 800ish years old (it should be 1,234 not 234 I missed the 1 when making the scroll). Being in the magical Manual of Golems probably helped preserve them.
Oloric is looking to be in great pain. His eyes have rolled back into his head.
Jen seems to stare off for a moment then cringe as in fear,"When you mention gas and a juggernaut I just has a flash of fear. Like I can not remember something but still can feel it." Tleyar has passed Jen some spare clothes that she has pulled on from under Delrin's cloak. "the worst part of my lack of memory is I can't remember any of my spells. If I had a spellbook to study I would be more of an asset."

Oloric throws the manual hard against a wall as he screams in pain. "Something needs to die! Let's head down the passage and get out of this death trap!"
Ooc: he could use some healing...

Delrin is able to get the pages off the ground before a cleanbot disposes of them.
If allowed another cleanbot will begin to sever Perf into managable pieces and feed them into his glowing head. The peices will disintegrate upon touching his glowing dome just like the light orbs over your heads.
When the manual hots the ground a cleanbot zooms over to pick it up. Oloric is standing in his path and it just runs right up into him. The thing bounces off and tries again to run through him.
Another cleanbot from the other side glides toward the dropped book.
