Entrance chamber is 100' by 30'. The 60' wide double door you just locked is on one 100' side and the three passages are on the other side. As you move to do these thing the globes follow you overhead. You are correct that it goes cobweb, stone hall, mosaic hall. The amulet looks like a gold disk with a closed eye on it. It defiantly feels arcane in nature. The book has dwarven and arcane ruins on the cover. Fargrim can read the dwarven runes and that it is named Acererak's Manual of the Iron Golem. Fargrim knows that Acererak the first Artificer was a slave of the Dragonlords in ancient. He created an army of iron golems that he forged for war and battle in secret. It was these Warforged that started the dwarven revolution against Tiamat and her spawn. The joined the revoltions of human, gnome, halfling, and elf lead by the Lords of Menelland(who are now worshipped as gods). After the war Acererak tried to use the golems to take Tiamat's former position as ruler of the world. He was beaten and spent his last centuries under heavy guard here in the Stonehome mines. Many of his most lethal inventions where buried in the Vault you now stand in. He was allowed free reign in his Vault and no Dwarf really knows the extent of all he created. After his death no one has ever entered the vault and returned. As you seal the door you hear another round of spears and arrows clatter off the door. Suddenly a body appears 5 feet off the floor and drops to the stone at Delrin, Fargrim, and Oloric's feet. It hits the stone and is unmoving. It is a woman naked with matted red hair that has the rounded point of halfelven ears. Her body is bruised and battered but Oloric recognizes the phoenix tattoo along the small of her back, the flames tattooed along arms and thighs. His mind fashes to Jen the fiery half elven warlock he spent a memorable night just days before. This beaten body before him is Jen.

Delrin quickly unclasps his cloak and uses it to cover the woman up as he checks for a pulse and any sign that she's breathing.
Medicine: 13.

He finds a steady pulse and shallow breathing. As he covers her he sees her body has some fresh acid burns, a few of what look like bites, and as he turns her he notices her right hand is missing 2 and a half fingers. The don't look bit off or cut off they are just cleanly gone.

Oloric will cast a healing word on her to attempt to wake her to consciousness.
"You alive Jen?"

The power flows over her and she jerks awake,"NNNOOOO!" She screams and begins sobbing and shaking. It takes time but she finally begins to regain control. "Oloric where are the Farstriders? How are you here? Where are my clothes?" She looks to her right hand. "My hand what has happened to my hand?" She looks to be concentrating hard, "The Ogre Mage Tusk and his bitch Marissa, Where are they? They were here. They forced us into this tomb."

"I think my friend has the witches head in his bag, but the Ogre Mage is likely outside said door with an army. Whatever you know could be valuable as we have found ourselves here but aren't sure what's really happening.+

"I know we arrive at the Nexus and where ambushed by an orc army. They told use we could have our lives if we found the Nexus Codex in this tomb. Edgar and Corben thought entering the tomb would buy use time. The last thing I remember is walking down the path and now I'm here." She stares for a while at her hand. "I don't remember losing my fingers, my clothes, being bite or burnt. I remember nothing. It feels like I just stepped down that path a few moments ago."

Those who were invisible slowly gain visible form. A glowing ball floats over to hover above their heads. Another ball forms over Jen.
The door to outside glows with a bluish arcane light that settles over the door.

The entrance to the tomb seems to have just had an arcane lock cast on it. Jen remembers nothing after standing right where you are now. You know she was probably in the tomb for 40 hours. Oloric I believe has the amulet and notices that the glowing orbs overhead do not settle over or follow him. He also has the Manual of the Artificer. Malik has the Shadovar Witch head dripping black blood on the floor. You notice the globe(heads) of the cleaning automatons are quivering in their wall slots in the room Malik is standing in. The first passage is difficult to see the roof through the cobwebs, but Delrin does notice they do not look like a normal pattern of webs or even the natural spider webbing. They overlap like a thick netting with thicker lines within the upper layers of the webs. The second passage is lower (10') than the other two. Delrin notes that the corridor and floor are made of smaller stones and bricks. The entrance is two pillars on either side that are 10' thick that hold a large block over the entrance. He notices the frescos on the wall create the illusion of interior space. One of the first is a wizards workroom that is guarded by two jackal-headed humanoids. All of the Elsir Vale heard tales of the Jackal servants of the ancient Dragonlords. The Jackals hold a real bronze chest that juts out from the wall. A library stands filled with many books and scrolls. A torture chamber holds a barred door behind which some fiendish creature lurks. Even stranger is Delrin notices the red mosaic path on the floor has faint dwarven runes on each tile. Standing outside he can make out the first part. Pointing this out to Fargrim the dwarf reads aloud,"Acererak the first and greatest artificer has placed within this vault the greatest blessings and curses of my long life of work. To reach the great vault will be beyond the skill of all, so you may abandoned all hope yea who enter this tomb. I do enjoy the effort, so feel free to give your best if pointless effort. To this heed my warn... (Fargrim can not read anymore from where he stands). Jen stands with help from Delrin and Oloric. As she moves forward toward the corridor you hear another blamf and a naked body drops to the ground in the exact spot she fell. It hits the ground head first with a large crack. You see it is the young mage who wore all yellow at the meeting at Overlook. He tried to negotiate with you to trade a more difficult post with your "Milk Run" to the Monestary. Jen looks down at him and whispers,"Poor scared little Perf."

"So, probably shoulda asked about this before we got ourselves trapped in crazy-mage-deathtrap-land, but what do we know about this "Nexus Codex"? How big is it, what does it look like; all that kind of preliminary target stuff that I, as a professional acquirer-of-other-people's-stuff, shoulda probably established before we jumped onto this plan." Izzy looks over Oloric's shoulder at the Manual. "Also, what's this little gem, and why did Shadowchick have it?"

Jen looks at Izzy,"The Nexus gate system once connected every city in the world. After the dragons where thrown down and trapped on the dragon isles they hid the rituals needed to open gates. The Nexus Codex has the rituals to open every gate in the world. With it the orcs could just gate right into the center of every major city in the Elsir Vale." She looks along with Izzy at the manual, "It is an arcane manual on the creation and control of automotons. What many now call Warforged. With proper study and the right equipment you would have the ability to build all of the Artificer's greatest creations."
As she is talking the domed helms of the automotons in this room are quivering. Perf's body is dripping blood that is slowly spreading out from him. Finally, One of the creatures pops out from the wall. His 6 arms extend as he floats over to the body. He begins to suction away the blood around Perf with his arms. Another pops out of the wall by Malik and begins to suck the black blood off the floor.

Izzy looks at the Manual with renewed interest. "That seems ... valuable. I think our rates just went up!" He glances back at Jen. "So, no actual description of the Codex, then? Size, color, catalogue number, that sort of thing? We just hope that the ancient dwarves who put the key to their entire schtick into the hands of a deranged archmage had the good sense to label it clearly? That seems likely; good sense and clear thinking is just radiating from this place."
Fargrim rushes over to Perf and checks his wounds. How tooled is he?

He would be clearly dead. The cleanforged rushes back to the wall.

Jen looks to Izzy "The dwarf would place anything they wanted to be kept away from the world here. They would leave it in this room and the automatons would tske it away."
