Stev lifts the repeater and pounds the creature. Dirt and stone fly from it's back ripping away parts of the creature. (3 shots 15 total damage). The creatures continues to wrestle with Amura.
Amura rips with his claw 3 times across the creature. His hand feels like it is trying to dig into the ground. The creature seems to unaffected by the damage.
Bad Guy The smoke shadow in the archway waves and arm,"You bring me all that I need to be free." Before him a smokey throne is forming. "Come to me my avatar. Come to me or die." He flicks his had and rubble from the dome flies up at the unit surrounding Stev. Vandal is clipped by the rubble (9 damage). Aren spins away the rubble misses her but it disrupts her plan of attack (setback die to next roll). Sasha is knocked backwards by the rubble she rolls prone (7,7,7 9 total damage). Sivu one piece or rubble then another strikes Sivu (8 and 8 damage) .Stev is hit by rubble but remains standing (13 damage). Boom is knockback by the 3 stones that strike him one after another (9,9,9 damage). Sigurd had already ducked behind the dome wall in preparation of the thermal detonator and is not struck.
We have 4 PC slots before the next badguy. Subtract soak from attack damage to find total damage. You feel the darkness the coldness of the darkside growing in the dome.Next!

((You've been calculating the extra defense Aren and I have as a result of our armor, right?
You know, if we were remotely smart, we'd make the icons into custom emoticons.))
Mechanics (Gunnery) 2 Successes, 7 Advantages; 1 Failure, 1 Threat (Actual); 1 Success, 6 advantages; (1P, 3A, 2B, 2D) Damage on this is 2V, that translates to 21 with the added success from her gunnery roll. Breach 1 so she ignores 10 Soak. I negate all environmental setbacks with 3 Advantages until my next turn. I add one boost die to Aren's next check with 2 Advantages. I add one boost die to the next character in the initiative with 1 Advantage (Also Aren).
Vandal jerked to the side as something collided with her skull, seeing the debris flying and instinctively protecting her team. She could make this shot, bracing the weapon against her shoulder and carefully taking aim. She wouldn't let this slow her down, pushing herself to her limits in order to get that shot off (2 Strain). She seemed rather hyperactive if her reaction times were any indication, taking the shot with unparalleled grace and poise. Her simple cybernetic implant synergized with her helmet to produce holographic imaging, at least for a short while. Her missile spewed forth the roaring cry of defiance so she didn't have to say a damned word, the thrusters on the missile providing far more than enough force to blast the dust away and replace it with green colored smoke.
"I'm ready..." She murmured through her mic. "Fighting retreat once that bomb's set! I'll cover you!"
As she turned to show the mark to the team, the sharp rock jutting out of her helmet and leaving pockmarks all over her armor from multiple impact points, mercifully stopped against the durasteel implants. Her willingness to lag behind made it painfully obvious that she had one more direct hit from that thing in her.
I'm not ready.

Amura: Glop grenade, and press on. Athletics 3G, 2Y: 3success 5 advantage, uh is there a critical for this? can also pass on advantage to any who need.
Sigurd. Pop a shot w/ rifle at "thing" another in-appropriate "clobbering time?" 2G, 1Y: 3 Success 2 Advantage. Duck back in cover.

Mechanics (Ranged: Heavy)
3 Successes, 4 Advantages (2 Triumphs); 2 failures, 5 successes (3 actual), 4 Advantages (2 actual), 2 triumphs; 2P, 1A, 4B, 2D.
-2 Strain, +1 Maneuver Aim Maneuver Cover Maneuver DC-15S Heavy Blaster Carbine: 10 Damage, +3 Successes, 13 damage. Crit: d100 = 97 (Crippled) Crit: d100 = 78 +10 = 88 (Compromised) I add one boost die to the next player in initiative (Sivu).
The carbine's stock met her shoulder in the blink of an eye, but before she could fire, a piece of debris flew toward her. Sato spun aside, evading it through a fortunate knee jerk reaction. It had costed her a precious moment to respond, but the holographic targeting provided by Vandal helped to offset that. Now was the moment to act.
Sato pushed herself to make the most of the window Vandal had provided them with. She slid behind a larger piece of debris and used it as cover, and from there lined up her sights. Any thought of who this entity was calling its avatar was pushed from her mind. Coldly and calmly, she unloaded a sustained burst at the entity.

Vandals missile flies straight and true blasting the arc with a explosion of fire. The dome above cracks. The arc itself is not even scratched.
Amura under pressure of the creatures attack still is able to follow the missile with his thermal detonator. What stone and dirt not thrown out by the missile is not throw out by the detenator's explosion. The dome above begins to crumble and pieces fall below. The arch and the shadow within are not harmed.
Sigurd's rifle blows dirt and rock off the creature attacking Amura.
As the explosions clear, Aren's burst flies through the shadow as if he was not there. It barely disrupts the smoke curling around him.
The creatures has stones extend like claws. It slashes with them but the barely scratch the hide of Amura. (1 wound after soak).
Sasha rolls up sees the entity is not hurt and goes for the beast on Amura. She hits it solid.
Gammer follows with another burst from his rifle.
Boom fires as well but misses the beast.
PD13 and the PD rangers pick up rocks and stones. Each one rushes the creature with PD13 they stick it with stone and sticks distracting the creature and PD13 fire point black with his blaster. The creature crumbles onto Amura. (3d athletics to dig out).

She hit he just was not hurt. It is a force spirit. You both hit the arch with the explosions but did not hurt it. You are bringing down the roof a piece at a time. Attachments:

Stev feels the dull pangs of rocks ricocheting off his armored plates, and more acutely feels the ones flying into his unarmored joints, but all of that fades into the background as he looks in shock at the standing archway. They gave it their best volley, and they couldn't even scratch the thing. This wasn't a fight they could win conventionally, and if this thing summons more dirt demons, they have no chance of escape. The only bargaining chip he sees is the link it seems to have with him. Maybe, just maybe, if it can influence him, he can turn the tables and influence it back. He speaks aloud as he attempts to reply through the mental link, pouring in as much calm feeling as possible under the circumstances. "I don't know what you are, but you know we can't destroy you, so there's no need to attack us. If you want a chance at your escape, you need to end your attacks and talk. Nobody has to get hurt."
Mechanics: This may be crazy, but I'll go for a Discipline Check: 4A vs 4D. Net result 1 success 1 advantage. I'll pass along that advantage to boost the next check (Amura's Athletics, I think?)
----
OOC: Looks like Thanksgiving weekend made me too slow for Sivu to get in on that last round. If he can still use his unused Init slot up there, he will, but if not he can do the same thing when his assigned turn rolls around this time.
Sivu rolls to the side from the force of the twin blows, and follows his momentum to take cover behind the dome. As the smoke clears, Sivu sees the archway still stands, and begins running hypotheses for why. Likely protected by a field of some kind. Perhaps field is of the same energy as the readings? If not, magnetic? Need to find countermeasure. Must breach field. Must end this before too late.
Sivu will then attempt to see if he can find some flaw in the protective shield around the archway. Any fluctuation in power or characteristic variance should shed some light on how to counteract it.
Mechanics: I'm not sure what this one falls under. Maybe Education for accurate trend analysis or Computers for detailed sensor readings? If the former, you can roll his 4A against whatever difficulty it is. If the latter, his pool's 1P3A.

((OOC: Since I'll be slow at getting a reply out tomorrow on account of busy scheduling...
@stev: That's correct.))
"What was I thinking?" She grumbled, going through a complete set of calculations (2 more strain, double aim action, fire) all the while rapidly processing everything. She groaned, mentally going into this bizarre form of overdrive the whole time ignoring the pain in her skull. "I wasn't. Idiot." She told herself, firing off another shot, this one aimed directly at the arch.
Mechanics (Gunnery) 1 Triumph, 2 Successes, 8 Advantages; 1 Failure, 1 Threat (Actual); 1 Triumph, 2 Successes, 7 advantages; (1P, 3A, 3B, 2D) or OHGODWHY Damage on this is 2V, 2 uncancelled successes, that's 22 points of damage, Breach 1, ignoring 1 point of armor/10 soak... I have 7 Advantages to play around with... I activate blast quality to try to weaken that bad boy again, I'm not sure if it deals additional damage based on my existing successes or if it has breach. If it does not deal extra damage, I'm just going to expend the successes and advantages on further weakening the integrity (i.e.: Doing something vital) or recovering 4 strain after passing along the two boost die to Aren if neither option is applicable.

Amura digging out, 3G, 2Y=3success, 3 advantage, vs 2 fail, 2 threat, I think I made it out.
Sigurd, medicine roll for nearest wounded, also moving to cover the wounded if down, if no cover will shield with body, 2G, 2Y= 2 success, 3 advantage. Sill gives +1 wound healed as well to stimpack. 5G if athletics needed to move person, 5G= 3 success, 3 advantage.
Does either see anymore threat?

Stev speaks to the entity in the archway. It commands,"Come forward avatar and I will allow the others to live to serve us." Come and be filled with my power, my hate, my passions," Stev feels the force trying to covince him to enter the dome.
Amura crawls out from under the rubble.
Sigurd sees Boom is in pretty bad shape and performs his medical magic on the small alien.
Vandal locks and loads her missile flies to the arch hitting the front of the arch right on the plaques. The force blasts upward and out and the dome shatters down around Amura and PD. (Amura and PD13s roll a athletics vs 3d to dodge rubble falling).
"I wish I had the time to feed from your rage children of Kobal. Now run back your holes." From the archways flows each characters worst nightmare. Fear grip you as you try to resist the urge to flee. (Fear roll vs 1c 2d) please describe what you character sees as their worst nightmare and gain a boost die to resist.

Vandal easily prepped another missile. We had a launcher, why they would waste time on charges is beyond me. Imbeciles. This one was going right into the arch, but instead, her cybernetics refused to spot, no holographic targetting, no nothing. She felt like she was seizing up, an unfamiliar cold sensation coursing through her body. She saw tangled corpses wreathed in robes of black shimmering in colours that would not have made sense together as though staring into a sculpture or a painting. The beast possessed seven arms brandishing an amalgamation of rifles and notched bayonets and horrific instruments of 'war'--in truth, more like instruments of slaughter, chained together in a way that made them all either wildly impractical or horrifyingly lethal, several heads swollen and deformed serving as a neck with her own decomposed face with a cartoonishly painful looking crown made of a yellow crystal still lodged in its head and nailed into place. It had mass of tangled wires spewed out of the empty eye sockets, the mouths and nostrils of the head as it floated with eight feet dangling uselessly beneath it, faint whispers with a familiar coldness and a familiar voice, with a hint of bloodlust normally masked by a helmet.
Mechanics (Discipline) 3 Successes, 1 Despair, 4 Threat (Actual); 3 Successes, 1 Despair, 4 Threat (Net); (1P, 1A, 1B, 1C, 2D) That knocks her strain level to -1 if I've been tracking properly, and in hindsight, had she not been incapped by strain, she'd have panicked and blown everyone to bits.
That 'thing' crept up to her and rather quietly brought forth the terms of endangerment, vomitting up the wires while wrapping them around her neck like prehensile tentacles. Her helmet was torn right off. Sounds stopped making sense and eventually shut out, staring this nightmarish personification of her own inner demons. The voices spoke, thousands, and yet all identical in pitch and tone, off only in time, with a strange cadence to them and accents on the wrong syllable. It clearly communicated something with her, nobody was at her left, so nobody saw her eye roll to the back of her head before that thing jerked her around and smashed the borg burnout against the ground like she was the weight of half of her vambrace, though a coma would have been preferable, her expression not at all dissimilar to a child wracked in a nightmare plagued sleep, wheezing rasps audible as the only sign of life.

Sigurd will look for the next wounded and treat them as well, unless Boom needs more. He will also move him to cover. Making a note to see if one of the portable shield generators would be of use, he would talk to Stev and Gammer later on there insight.
Amura. 3G 2Y vs 3D= 4 Success, 4 Advantage vs 4 threat, 1 fail. I think he dodged the wrench.

And when the dust and debris from Vandal's missile settled, she gazed upon the thing before her whose nature she could not comprehend. The sight of it seemed somehow apart from the fabric of reality, and yet it was undeniably present, its innumerable glowing eyes gazing into her soul. The way its form shifted and contorted as it lumbered toward her seemed to defy biology and reason. The horrid smell of it conspired with ash and ozone to penetrated her helmet's filters and enhanced her growing nausea. Beneath the hum of its ignited weaponry, a distinct yet intangible buzzing that caused a sharp pain in the back of her mind. Carapace, cybernetic joints and gravel ground with every step, and in each abominable footprint, a mixture of fluids dripping from its fang-filled maw and its twisted joints alike.
Mechanics (Discipline)
1 Success, 1 Advantage; 3 successes (actual), 1 advantage, 1 failure; 1P 1A 1C 2D +1 Strain (Advantage)
The voice that whispered in her mind told her what it had in store for her. It wouldn't kill her. It wouldn't be so merciful. The abomination could not be killed. But neither was it real. Sato shook off the effect as best she could and forced herself to act. She darted for Vandal, and for the missile launcher. After a brief examination of her comrade and confirmation that there were no fatal injuries, Sato dropped prone and shouldered the launcher. There was something very wrong about this place. Firing at the true entity haunting this place hadn't worked before, so on a whim, she tried something different. There was still a very solid limb attacking the team. Maybe she could cave in the dome and bury the ghost and its manifested arm alike. "Recommend you all get out of there, now! Firing!"
Mechanics (Gunnery)
-2 Strain, +1 Maneuver; Take Weapon (Missile Launcher), Ready (Missile Launcher) 1 Success, 1 Advantage; 3 Successes (Actual), 2 Advantages (Actual), 2 Failures, 1 Threat; 3A, 2D; +1 Strain (Advantage)
