Stev lets out a wry sigh and adds "Only for the first few weeks." failing to mention that the ship has only been on duty for a few weeks. "As long as Vandal's keeping watch, I'm sure things will stay under control. Honestly, with what may be coming, I'll take all the help I can get."
He opens up his comm and replies to Vandal "I'll make sure the crew keeps away. Considering that our survivor's Mandalorian, we'll need to give the warning of the planet's effects, since Mandos and those associated with the culture are singled out for mental manipulation by the artifacts. With multiple artifacts on planet, that could magnify the already potent effects."
As he finishes his comm, he notices that he hasn't had any influences over him since they arrived. On the last trip, there was only one artifact, yet that was enough to affect us from orbit. I can't decide whether the storm has passed, or if we've just been caught between a sprinkling and a hurricane.
As he refocuses on negotiations, he mulls over the deal and doesn't see any way to make it better. "Fine, we'll be on a four hour limit. That should be enough time to accomplish our goals. Remember though, before you power up I'll need proof from my team that you can't take potshots at us from orbit."
"Before we head out, I have to know something: has your crew experienced any hallucinogenic effects since you entered the planet's orbit? If any of your crew have, they likely won't be stable once we enter the Place of Kastays. How many of your men can we count on?"
As Ned'Ix answers, Stev will take a count of all the Jarells he can see, making sure to note their mental stability based on which seem to be most afraid of Amura. It never hurts to double check.

Sato nodded with approval at the amount of care and respect Vandal lent the fallen members of the crew. She remained silent, but insisted on at least aiding in the work in whatever way she could. Whatever went through her mind, her posture remained relatively stiff and precise for someone as injured as she was. At the very least, she was feeling a bit better, by now.

Sigurd will treat any and all wounded. He had learned to keep his mouth shut in prison, here he is not in prison and the situations had proved to be even worse. He would continue to keep his head on a swivel and treat the injured but he must find a way to prevent the injuries he thought to himself.
Medical: 2Y, 2G plus surgeon bonus/medkit. Straight skill all before bonus or difficulty. 1st roll 3S/3A, 2nd if needed 3S/3A, 3rd 4S/1A, 4th 5S/1A, 5th 2S/2A, after a fifth I should be drunk with Gammer bad joke I know.

The Doctor cleans and treats Gammer's blaster burns which now adds to the scars and burns criss crossing his body. Then Dr. Sigurd enjoys a swig of Gammer's flask. He has not had a drink in years and the strong whiskey in Gammer's flask burns it's way down. (resilience (2d) check to not choke it up like little rodian).
Aren looks as the discipline and respect of Vandal and contrasts it with the two men drinking on a rock. The female sniper holding her position. The young (way to young to be one) clone trooper in discussion with a verpine. The Feline warrior at his back and a Pit Droid wandering about. She then notes the ancient piece of poodoo landing.

After moving the last of the bodies, she carefully removes the helmet of the first dead Mandalorian, closes their eyes and does her best to 'neutralize' their expression. After that, she used the rangefinder built into her helmet to check the distance on the Muvon. "Sir, ship is secure, though it'd be wasteful and unpleasant to approach until we're ready to commit to a salvage operation. Survivor's hardsuit subsystems are toast as a byproduct of a blasted EMP. Thruster gimbal on one of the packs shows the same signs." She sounded vaguely aggravated. With a sigh, she spoke aside to Sato. "Whatever your name is, there's something on the planet that has psychogenic affects. Somehow, it targets select groups, and Mandalorians are one of them. If you start to feel strange, disarm yourself and warn me so I can get you the hell off this rock. Okay?" She opened her microphone again. "Four survived the crash, two perished en route, one perished shortly after rescuing the fourth. Unverified xenotype, presumed near-human. I armed her in the interest of protecting herself while I conducted a sweep. Unbeknownst to me, Operatives Gammer and Sigurd followed me in a bit after, having stumbled into the Mandalorian after declaration of conducting a sweep. A verbal exchange occurred that sounded vaguely..." She paused, trying to find a word. "...look, it sounded vaguely... predatory. Then a brief exchange of gunfire. One high crack, two low whines. Mistakes were made. I threw Gammer and Sigurd out, just in case you ordered them after me--they left on my command." She grumbled something, none of it was pleasant, most of it was Huttese.
"I restored functionality of unverified xenot--let's call her Red. I restored functionality of Red's arms and legs with an impromptu surgery conducted with a field knife, some bacta, sutures and something I found labelled "Burkomic Scalpel," which looks very much like a hammer, but it was, in fact, much blunter. I smashed my hand trying to take something to the swelling. Applied bacta to her injuries, and she has some signs of lack of coordination but appears to be capable of a full recovery. She's up, walking, lifting bodies and somewhat talking. She can, she's just... well... her friends just died. It's a lot to take in." There was a brief sigh audible on comms. "Taking stock of the bodies, tagging them and transporting once I've finished. Advise you continue the mission as scheduled. I'll grab the launcher and track transmissions once I'm done here. Once we've finished the operation, I recommend we bring her aboard for a psyche workup, put the bodies in cold storage and send her and her team home at the earliest opportunity. We'll have to take her with us so I'm not out of the fight. Shouldn't be longer than thirty standard." She said over comms.
"I need their names..." She said calmly, producing blank tags which she affixed to the ankle bindings. She produced a utensil for the first one on the makeshift bindings before finally returning his helmet and removing her own. She felt vulnerable now that she was at risk of a new orifice being introduced to her skull, but the inverted L that passed for her frame of vision wasn't sufficient for delicate work like this. She took the tag between her thumb and forefinger. "And I'd like yours, Red."

She knelt by the the bodies and gestured to them one by one. Her visor remained fixed on Vandal. Even with voice modulation in place, she sounded somehow hollow. "Viba. Gigek. Carid." Her posture straightened. After the three that had initially survived the crash and had been recovered first, she gestured back to the wreckage and listed off the rest of the crew. Each name sounded like a given name, rather than a surname. Finally, once she was the last one left, she distinctly paused before answering. "Sato."

"Vandal. It's my callsign. It's all I go by these days." She said after marking off those three names. "Sometimes Sarge. My friends have other names for me. Or they would, if they were alive. Or existed in the first place." She shrugged as she put her helmet on and grabbed Viba on her shoulder and adhered her carbine, shuffling the Mandalorian. "Rest up, Sato. I'm just going to move these gents over. And I'd rather not be put into a position where I have to choose between shoving a missile up somebody's arse or keeping my job." She started off with a brief chuckle.

Vandal begins to move the bodies to the Muvon. Brophar and the clone trooper Blu move down ramp greeting her with a nod and waiting for her permission to assist bringing the bodies onto the ship. Gorak and Unda watch from their guard posts on the ramp.
"My crew on board are droids who are de-powered. My guards are Jarrell and are not effected by the planet. From my research it is a psychic residue of the thousands of Mandalorians and Kavassains who died on this planet. We theorize that Kavassains where created by the makers of the ruins to keep the Mandaliorian General Kobal away from the gate. The psychic creatures follow the night so we are safe till dusk."
Aren hears the name of General Kobal and it catches her attention. The General and his madness are legend in the lore of her people. His crusade led entire tribes to their doom on this planet thousands of years ago.

Sato lifted her head, rose to her feet and approached Vandal. Her visor settled on the one who had posed the theory. "Did you say General Kobal? As in, the madman from the old legends?"

Ned'Ix responds as Sato,"The General Kobal created a splinter group of mandalorians. He followed the ancient guidance of the prophet Xendor. The prophet told of a place of ultimate power and this gate was the way. The true Mandalor sent a force to stop him and it is legend the Gree sent their own forces to protect the gate. The Kavassain Star Wolves in a massive cloning ship. The walls of the ruins tell all about it. It was really quite fascinating."

Vandal looked to the others, listening in before shifting the body off of her shoulder and into her arms. "Site's off limits until she says otherwise. No problem though, I can take care of it." She tipped her head towards Sato. "I'll need one of you to prep a cool area to keep them in, and another to get my kit ready since I wasn't exactly keen on the idea of jumping off of a ship with a missile launcher. In hindsight, it was ridiculous when I considered that I had a full rack of the damn things on my back! Whoever's got seniority is tasked with making sure my head's on straight." She chuckled, handing off the bodies.

Blu takes a body and Brophar the other. "I have the bay ready for them." Brophar explains. "I'll bring our kits out once we have our passengers secured." Blu states.

Sigurd slugs down the drink, 5G vs 2D = 3S, 4A vs 2T so i think success. Thanks Gammer, and replies it is good stuff and he owes him. Sigurd thinks back to the ship and has an idea of how he can brew some spirits he did learn a thing or two in prison not to mention a formal training in chemicals in becoming a Dr. Gammer I have an idea on how to make some more of this sweet nectar when we get back to ship, be honored if you help me fine tune it.

Ned'Ix keeps talking as Verpine tend to do,"The science team started with the main ruins." His hand indicated the ruins north of the crashes mandalorian vessel."but the real find was hidden in the swampy wastes. The chemical composition of the liquid bubbling up is not a natural one. It is more like the acids used in power cells. The small patch of bare ground in the middle leads to the ruins." He begins walking to the Muvon. "You will to fly us over and drop us on the sight. Then we a need a generator to power the lift and one to power the equipment below." He points to PD13,"Your droid could provide one source of power." He really looks at PD for the first time."Is that a full panoramic holocam upgrade to your sensors? You will be an excellent tool to record the discovers. Come along droid."

"The fallen are accounted for, and with a degree of respect I appreciate." She nodded to Vandal. "Beyond that, I would prefer that my clan is contacted before anything more is done with the rest of the remains." She maintained a relatively even and confident tone and did her best to mask her condition. "There is much they should be made aware of. Preferably before another detachment experiences the same fate we have."
