The Next Evening DarkStryder Mission Day 6 (43:04:11 Imperial reckoning)
The Park is flooded with twice the people who came for the first event. Theta's security and the Kolatil Defense Force are reinforced by Shadormen. They tower over the men of the other houses.
This event follows a much smaller event in the FarStar Hanger Deck. From lowest to highest rank crewmen came forward to receive promotions and commendations. Privates Amura and Lodor Kintor take their Corporal ranks Their ranks pinned by Gorak and Krudar. Corporal Sasha is promoted to Sergeant Sasha her ranks recieved from Kaiya. Sergeant Stev is brought into the officer's ranks as an Ensign by Kaiya. Ensign Garran Keeg is given LtJG ranks by Commander Ciro. Ciro's eyes do not match his smile. They look haunted and distant. Ensign Sivu is given his LtJG ranks by Lowffyyrn. The Wookie looks for some reaction but receives none. Alta Dyson making full Lt is the opposite of Sivu his still slightly swollen face breaking into the grin that has made women from every known race in the galaxy swoon. Thyte almost doesn't scowl when being made Lt Commander. Phillip Slyer tries to smile but cannot under the circumstances of their promotions. He takes his Lt Commander ranks and bows. Phillip then turns and pins captain's ranks on Kaiya Admetrum. The usually hard face of Kaiya almost breaks for a moment. Finally PD13 walks forward. Kaiya bends down and places the magnetic Warrant Officer Rank on his thorax casing.
The promoted crew are all in attendance for the Celebration and charity event. Alta reprises some of his earlier scenes. Loh'Khar is honored by the Church for his humanitarian aid for the people of Domaz. The Heroes of Domaz each receive a commendation by the once and possibly future high king.
The final honors are presented to 2 of the FarStar crew. Lt Erroll Danarius is commended for his action as leader of the defender squadron. He is given a return to his rank and position as a member of House Karadol. Erroll speaks of leaving Kathol with the coming of the empire because he could not condone his House's actions. He has worked with the rebel alliance and the New republic for 2 decades but in his heart he was always a man of Kathol. with his return he is the highest noble of house Karadol on planet. The High king entrust he will put his former house in order.
Lt Commander Slyer is the last honored he kneels before the King and his daughter who stands by his side. "Do you swear to conduct your life with honor. Follow the duties of your house and blood, and protect the people before even your own life?"
"Yes, your grace." Slyer replies.
The High King touches both of Slyer's shoulders with a massive great sword.
"Then rise Sir Phillip Slyer Auth Shador." The king declares.
As Slyer rises Boom is finally to release the fireworks and allow them realize their purpose in creation. His show is beyond anything the planet of Kolatil has experienced before.
The fireworks are joined by New Republic vessels entering the jump points with small flares of light like twinkling stars in the night sky.

43:04:11- Hanger at the starport of Domaz. Earlier in the day. The destroyed Kryat Fang.
"Careful buddy remember Mathus' head is just a meter from that plate your swinging." Pash looks up from his work on the airlock rewiring.
Lowggrr is looking haggered and weak as he works the pulley system to bring the new hull plating into place. His fur is torn and missing in many places with round scars red and fresh along his arms and legs.
Mathus begins to weld stopping as Sasha reaches the airlock. She has a small rucksack on her back as she steps carefully down the damaged ramp.
"Did you find anything not destroyed? I still owe that Keeg a stun bolt of two for what he did to the old girl." Pash pretends to be focused on his wiring work.
"I found a few items, most of what was really important to me survived." Sasha looks down at the ramp glancing only quickly up at Pash.
"Well keep you head down on that crazy train they call a ship and if you ever are looking for employment we will always have a job or two that needs doing." Pash tries to be casual.
"I think your thing or two will be just getting this thing off the ground." Sasha walks off the ramp and toward the doorway.
"Shador has offered anything I need to get her going again. With their retaking the smelting stations and factories I should be able to make her better than new. Your going to miss seeing what I have planned for her."
"When I get back from the mission I'll see what she has become." Sasha turns to leave.
Pash's eyes follow of the hanger door,"Don't leave." He whispers.
"RRRaaaggghhhh uuunnnfffff." Lowwggrrr roars at Pash.
"I can't tell her. I already asked her. She says she has a duty and a purpose on the FarStar."
"RRooowrrr gguurrr rruff gorrruurrrr."
"I know buddy. I know."
Pash and his small crew go back to work on the Krayt Fang as Sasha pulls her scar up to hide the tears sliding down her face.
(OOC: If you want a character to say goodbye to Pash, Lowggrr, or Mathus you can jump into the scene.)

As Sasha exits the hangar, she sees her driver, Stev, waiting in front of the speeder they were taking to the park. "Were you able to find what you wanted?" he asks.
"Not everything, but the important things." She begins to head into the speeder when Stev starts to help her in. "I don't need help, you know."
Stev grins "Of course not. If you needed help, I'd have asked first. I'm helping because I want to."
"I can't decide if that's incredibly polite or incredibly rude." Sasha replies as Stev opens the door and guides her into the speeder.
"A bit of both, I think. Blame it on my years growing up on the Rebel Base in Yavin, I received a lot of mixed signals..." Stev's smile breaks, replaced by a somber, mournful look.
Sasha raises an eyebrow "That's a 180 if I've ever seen one. Credit for your thoughts?"
Stev hops into the driver's seat and starts up the speeder. "In my 22 years, I've lost a lot of friends and family. It seems like that number's been increasing rapidly ever since I accepted this assignment so...thank you. Thank you for sticking with this wild bunch of madmen we call a crew, myself included. I-"
"If you were about to apologize for what happened back there, so help me, I'll add a new bolt to that blasted brain of yours. I woke up in medical, and the first thing I heard was you apologizing, and if I hear you say it one more time, I'll give you an even better reason to be sorry. I may not like the feeling that came with it, but I chose to deal with that bomber for the same reason I chose to stay-it was the right thing to do. Of course I'll have regrets, but I stand by what I did. Besides, if I have anybody to thank for surviving that, it's you. You threw that splat-what was it-50 yards over dozens of people without a clear line of sight, and hit him square on the back? Without that, I-plus several dozen civilians-wouldn't have made it through that. How did you manage that anyway?"
Stev awkwardly replies "Um, practice, I guess." "You practiced THAT?" "Uh-we'd better get going. We don't want to be late for the celebration, it'd set a bad impression on our new Captain."
Before Sasha can reply, Stev begins flying the speeder to the park.

43:04:11 18:00 hours Pilot Briefing Room the FarStar
It was the spare helmet from Dasha's locker that Ranna carried to place on the shelf of the briefing room. Above the helmet was placed a plaque giving name rank awards and achievements and the military history of Dasha Defano. Ranna knows that the plaque doesn't tell of days playing sabaac, hanging with the technicians, working with younger pilots, just being a friend. She touches the plaque and helmet and whispers goodbye to her wingman.
Each pilot, flight ops, and mechanic follows with a touch to helmet and plaque. Each knows that one day their helmet could stand beside hers.
Ciro says a few words then they leave in small groups to ships duties or whatever recreation they can find. Many make their way down the Belly of the Beast a impromptu casino opened by Loh'Khar aboard the vessel.
Thyte is there with them his face showing pain. "I'm going to the medical bay. Will is coming out of the tank soon." He moves out the doorway.

43:04:11 18:30 hours Medical Bay of the FarStar
The massive hutt Doctor Perriga removes the medical mask from Will's face. Thyte stands over the bunk waiting for Will to come out of the coma induced by the bacta tank. He looks down at the stub that was once Will's right arm and his legs missing from mid thigh down and knows he will never fly a X-Wing again. Once he is stabilized they will fit him for cybernetic replacements. There will be the months of learning to use the new arm and leg. He is have to learn to live with one eye until they are able to find a cybernetic replacement. Thyte remembers those long months. He pulls up a chair and waits for the pilot to come through.

Lodor stands up from his chair in the Medical Bay. He'd been watching over Blu and Que ever since he got back from the celebration, and after hours of thinking it over, he'd finally made a big decision.
As Doctor Akanseh walks past, he says "Doc, I think I need your help here."
"Everyone here needs my help. What is it?"
"I'll need your approval for a bit of special medical attention. You see, Que hasn't exactly lived the healthiest-"
"He was on enough narcotics to take down a hungry Rancor when he was brought in. Not even I could tell all the different things he was taking."
"Yeah, well, I've never really been able to talk him out of it, but this might be our chance to take the choice out of his hands. Could you keep him under in the bacta tank long enough for all of his withdrawal symptoms to end?"
"Are you asking me to make a serious medical decision without the consent of the patient?"
"C'mon Doc, we both know that this is the best choice for him. Besides, I'm his adopted kid, so I'm probably the one with the right to make decisions about his health when he's incapacitated anyway, right?"
Mechanics: Negotiation vs Cool. 3Avs2C. Net result 1 success, 2 threats.
Akanseh thinks for a moment, then says "I wasn't aware of the connection. Well...I suppose you do have that right, and it is the best for him. A warning though: we don't actually know how his Force powers could impact the recovery process, so we may not have a choice in the matter."
"That's good enough for me. Thanks Doc." Lodor then sits back down in his chair and leans back. Que may not be thrilled when he wakes up, but Lodor knows he's making the right call. Lodor only hopes that Que won't use his revitalized body to pound him into space dust.
"You made the right call kid." Lodor quickly turns to see Blu awake and attempting to sit up in his bed.
Lodor smiles and walks up to Blu. "Thanks, but it would've helped if you could've mentioned that earlier. You normally don't sleep in like this."
"Kid, if you take as many blasts as I did today, you can nap all you want. Hey, are you still worrying? I can tell, that worried look of yours hasn't changed since you were in diapers."
"Sheesh, with the way you talk, sometimes I forget you were born after I was."
"What, are you saying you look younger than me kid? In your dreams." Blu begins to chuckle "By the way, I think I get your concern, so I'll volunteer for bodyguard duty after Que wakes up."
"Do you really think he'll be that-"
"Not for him, for you. I have more experience with being stabbed with a lightsaber."

OOC: During the celebration.
Stev looks back over his shoulder at Sasha again. She was talking with Gammer and a few of the Shador men. The only risk there would be Gammer getting her buzzed, so Stev knows he has time for this quick task. He quickly fixes up his hair again, makes sure his jacket isn't too creased-well, more than usual-and then walks over to Theta.
Stev extends a hand and the shake's accepted. "Theta, I'm glad to see you again. I and the rest of the crew can't thank you enough for how much you changed the tide of the battle today, so I'd like to help you all out. The bottom line is that, with the New Republic taking control of Kolatill, there'll be a great deal of Anti-Empire propaganda going around. That's great for keeping Imperial loyalists from taking over again, but that's bad news for anybody who has ever been associated with the Empire, even if they fought against it later. So, since Shador should be keeping the planet more than secure, I'd like to offer you and your entire team positions as members of the FarStar's crew."

43:04:11 21:00 hours FarStar Command Meeting
Present: Kaiya, Gorak, Slyer, Thyte, Lo'Khar, Krudar, Lowffyyrhn, Beldon, Noel, Ranna, Erroll, Thane, Dr. Akanseh, Jessa and Stev.
The meeting is a more relaxed one taking place on the comfortable couches of the Officer's lounge. Kaiya leans against a gaming table her flimsi's spread across the space.
"First order is we need to shuffle some chairs to fill holes left either temporarily or permanently by this mission. Thane (and SLAV) is going to be staying on Kolatill to hammer out the specifics of the new republic treaty with the Noble Houses of Kathol. The High King has also asks he assists with helping him create a constitution to move the sector from a monarchy to a republic. We will be moving Lt Alta Dyson from bridge duty to be our lead diplomat. LtJG Sivu, Que when fit for duty, Samarion, Amura, and PD13 will move to Field Operations to bolster their team. Will Synar when fit for duty will be transferred to flight operations. We have new crew Makio and Dr. Sigurd will also bolster Field ops. Galflysi will provide a much needed hand in the medical bay. Gorak is also recruiting additional security team members from the planet population.
Last with my temporary move to Captain we will need a First Officer and a Field Officer. Lt Phillip Slyer will be acting First officer and with his promotion Ensign Stev will be Field Mission Commander.
The New Republic have sent the small task force that now orbits the planet and will relieve us of planetary defense and support. This allows us the ability to continue our search for Sarne and on the way hopefully find our lost crew members. The House Shador has provided us with enough gunnery power cells to replace the old ones and reroute a secondary grouping of cells to the trubolasers. It will require drawing power away from non-essentials in combat but will allow us to fire an double the normal rate. This will take a few days. During that time we will be sending a team to the Gas Giant to investigate Keeg's findings, have a team on planet gathering any clues about the Iron Fist, and possibly a special field mission.
House Shador has also provided astrogation charts all the way to Gandel Ott. They believe it to be the logical destination for Sarne though reports have come in from Oon Tien that Imperial forces have been gathering. Hopefully our investigations on planet will give us a direction.
For the next 24 to 72 hours our department priorities will be: Bridge, computer ops, and Engineering- re-examine every nut and bolt on the ship we can and try to make sure we don't have the complete fubar that happened with gunnery happen in other systems. Security- Recruit new members to bolster our crew and dig up what you can on the Iron Fist and it's crew. Flight Operations- We have the NR Task Force giving us 3 new fighters. We need to repair the damaged fighters and train up new pilots from our pool of candidates to replace Dasha, Pash, and Will. Some of you will be tasked to escort the Muvon to the gas giant. Field Operations- Will be meeting later for special assignment. Medical and Science departments will be assigned to the Muvon, be investigating fidings aboard the ship, or on special assignment with the Field ops.
We don't want Sarne to have a chance to advance his plans, whatever they are, but we need this time to get on the right footing to face this challenge.
Any questions, suggestions, gripes, comments?"

Pash, Lowggrr, Mathus good byes:
Slyer approaches each in turn and thanks them for the service to the New Republic and to the FarStar, after departing he reflects that he is becoming more formal and even cold with the responsibilities he has. He longs for the days when he was a more open about his feelings, war and his planet becoming and asteroid field did that to one.
Amura saw the three males departing, sorry to see them leave as they were good crew. He lingered with Lowggrr, he was a great warrior, before he knew it they had both let out a guttural mournful sound and the wookie grabbed him and lifted him off the ground. The sounds they both made intensified and he could tell some of the crew were scared, he did not care as they had been warriors together and he may never see him again.
Krudar asked if they needed any help before they departed, did they want him to look at any systems? He knew enough wookie to know that he was told don't touch anything and it is fine, he did not press the matter.
Sigurd hardly knew them and just filed past them with the rest of the crew.

Lowggrr looks to the Cathar and growls,"My blade will always stand with yours. Good Hunting Amura."
Pash shakes Slyer's hand,"Don't think of it as loosing your best pilot think of it as having less competition at the Belly of the Beast." He looks to Krudar,"The Shadormen have promised to fix her up, but if you clip Keeg's X-wing a little it would make me happy. Just maybe one wing he has four. Both of you watch over Sasha for me. She is the best crewman you will ever have."

Slyer when seeing there is no questions announces "Attention on deck!" Salutes the captain "Ma'am I can take it from here, I will have the Department heads meet with you in the wardroom in 30 minutes if that is fine with you?
Slyer outlines some more tasks, CPU scrub and back ups, sensors readings and use of what Keeg gave them, battle drill rehearsal schedule to test equipment, Comms and expectations of the newly aligned fighter wing. He has some more but does not want to inundate them. Tells them the captains tasks have priority.
As they depart to finish last minute details he tells Stev: "Good luck with the team, hope you do better than I did." "They are a great group and I would like to extend an open door to you on any questions, no rank involved just two leaders trying to get the mission done."
OCC; figure this is a good transition into the brief that has been posted.

Stev replies to Slyer "You have my thanks for that. Honestly, considering how you were able to complete your prison mission without firing more than a handful of shots, I'd say you did a far better job with them than you give yourself credit for. Let's hope I can keep that record going on the special mission the Captain's sending us on."

Noell speaks up, "If any of you have any likely pilot candidates, send them to me. We'll given everyone a fair test on the simulators, but it will not be easy. I don't want to keep losing pilots, so I am going to be tough on any new recruits."
After the meeting, he pulls Kaiya aside. "Listen, I know I can't say this enough, but keep me informed on the search for Kel. My brother saved my life more than a couple times, and I owe him. I am going on any mission to rescue him"

Kaiya grips his arm,"You will the second in line on any rescue mission. Even if we have to dive into the depth of hell we will find him."
"We have some good experienced pilots I'm just not sure I trust some of them with a hyperdrive capable vessel. Will they stay and fight or run with out fighter. I thought Pash was a solid crew member and he bolted as soon as we found his ship."

"I recommend we use trusted New Republic pilots for any long range reconnaissance. At least until we get more familiar with the rest. That means Myself, Ranna, Lopak, Gabby, and Chanariak"
