Mission Two: Aegis

The Aegis must be really angry to threaten him that way. Slacker unplugs and ponders that infatuated is a virus.

Hearing the conversation between Analia and Stev Kem squeezes into the area,"What is a broken house?"

Analia looks up at him,"When the Empire claimed the Kathol Sector their were 5 major houses. Brakia was the Regal house with their Queen sitting on the high throne. Ik'Tal was their strongest supporter, Shador was a mighty house that held the strongest warriors, and Kathor was the most modern corporate house, Twa'Legra was the Twi'Lek house known for trade. House Karadol was a minor house without a seat on the Grand Council.

The Empire can in and Shador and Twa'Legra would not bend so they broke them. Most of House Shador's nobel family were arrested and enslaved. Their business and holding where split between Karadol and Kathor. Karadol became a major house, Twa'Legra was removed from the Grand Council and Shador lost most of it's power. So a shattered house is one without leadership and stripped of it's resources.

The Twa'Legra have been pirates and smugglers for over 2 decades. Scattered though the sector. You wonder if they can ever return to what they were. House Shador will never resist the Empire as long as their nobel is in their hands.

All of them could probably use a few weapons right now. We could make a small fortune with what is on this shuttle alone."

As Thirteen looks around for a combat knife, Stev notices his plight and offers to help. "Here, you can take mine. This one has helped me out in a lot of rough fights. It's old, but it's still as sharp as the day it was forged."

Stev opens up his pack, which Thirteen notices houses a rather impressive collection of various swords, vibroblades, clubs, and other primitive looking melee weapons that he will likely have to use an ancient galactic civilization history datalog to be able to identify later. Stev pulls out a combat knife that appears to be just the right size for Thirteen to utilize effectively.

"Keep it as long as you like. I'll be glad to know that it's still being put to good use. Just make sure to keep it in good condition with regular sharpening and cleaning. Too much blood left sitting on the blade could dull it, and then you could be in trouble."

As Thirteen walks away with his prize, Stev smiles. The knife did help him in several rough fights...when he was six years old.

Kem approaches Gunthar and brings with him the an E-Web blaster with the power cell disconnected. He has linked 3 shoulder straps together to drape it over the alien's shoulder. He begin to explain it's function to the large alien. (Intelligence check vs. 2D to see if Gunthar understands or will just swing it like a club at people).

Vallen squeezes through the group and plants himself before PD13,"I do not believed you have been trained or qualified in grenade procedures and tactics. Please hand over the equipment." The please does not match the tone. He then turns to Stev,"We don't arm droids. We are the New Republic not the separatists." At his age, Stev is pretty sure Vallen fought more than a few separatist droids.

Vallen's challenge has PD1 shaking in his boots a bit. (Coersion check 2 success 1 Threat). But Analia is looking a little irate and putting down the parts she was cleaning and standing.

Stev stands his ground against Vallen. "Look Sergeant, if Thirteen wants to be a Republic soldier, I say we let him be one. How many of the ship's engineers would VOLUNTEER to be in one of the most dangerous places in the assault? He wants to prove himself, so I say we let him. He'll be an invaluable asset if anything goes wrong with the Transport, so if a knife and a few grenades will keep him safer, we give him a knife and a few grenades."

"Also, Thirteen, the yellow ones are frag grenades, and the black ones are smoke grenades. Use the black ones to hide, and the yellow ones to make things explode. I'd be happy to go over the proper techniques with you so you can use them properly."

GUnthar has grabbed big metal stick that man gave him and put ropes all over Gunthar's body. Gunthar does not like ropes, reminds him of bad men who took him away from home and made him fight. But gunthar was good at fighting, so maybe not all bad. Man tell gunthar that stick should be pointed at N M E. Gunthar not good at spelling, maybe point at bad man instead seems others like pointing similar things at bad things that need to get hurt. Man tell gunthar to put finger in small loop, with thorn in. Finger no fit in loop. Man might be bad man trapping gunthar. Que help tho with mouth water. Maybe gunthar can use metal stick like weapon. But stick not easy to grip with one hand. heavier end easier to grip, but gunthar knows heavier end should hit bad things, and not good to grip thing at heavy end.

Gunthar takes ropes off, and grabs stick. and bangs it on the floor in time to his words "Gunthar hurt bad men"
