Delrin crosses his arms and narrows his eyes at Sinruth's approach. After listening to him, Delrin continues to glare as he sternly states "It's simple when you don't twist the truth. When you bluff a parley in an attempt to lure us into a trap, I call your bluff. When you use a demon to cover your escape from justice, I hunt you down. And when a man is assaulted for no reason other than his race and refuses to fight back in the face of danger, I fight back for him. If you are in the right, I will be your ally. If you are in the wrong, I will be your enemy. How complicated our relationship is will be due to your actions, not mine. For now, I will give you the benefit of the doubt and trust that your talk of breaking away from evil is true. However, if I find your words false, I will act as necessary."
BACK IN THE PAST
Delrin helps up Altok, quickly scanning the ground for any drops of blood while he lends his assistance. If there's enough blood for him to collect a proper sample for the purposes of a scrying ritual, he'll send Altok on his way kindly and collect the sample. If not, Delrin will try to inconspicuously grab a small bit of cloth from the hobgoblin for the same potential scrying purposes.

Oloric replies to the warlock with an indifferent shrug, "All things burn. I burn with a passion for life. Have you ever been with a dragon? I fear you may also get burned. I would gladly discuss this in more detail. Do you have a place here? I am newly arrived and have yet to get a lay of the land."

Malik turns to the mage, "Speak your offer. And add why I should go against the council on your word? I expected little as a newcomer here. No trust has yet been built. I dislike building it on a lie without good reason."
In the back of his mind Malik pondered if visiting other Paladins was such a good idea. He wasn't very popular as his methods were cruder than many preferred. He listened hoping the mage had something good but guessing he may have little voice in the final decisions.

Alexandria stared rather blankly, offering a bemused chuckle before shaking her head. There was one question asked by her amusement. 'Do you realize who I am?' She promptly collected her things once her ploy was up, standing and taking a spot by Issarian, more or less looming behind him. "I have fulfilled my part of our bargain. I will be attending an assisting. Call this the cost of seeing you work. I am almost certain that this will be a bit more rewarding than crumpled trade vouchers. I will be foregoing my portion to ease the budgeting considerations, although we will presumably still be going by law of salvage." She then did something surprising for a noblewoman, she slid out a contract for hiring from her satchel, grabbing a pen from there. She would assist until the task was done, free of cost, although her notes did say that if she risks life or limb to save somebody or something, she will expect a bonus equal to the value of property saved, plus a bonus of five silvers per head per instance. Unlike most mercenaries, she also noted that 'own considerations are covered.'

The dwarf smiles at Izzy,"I will put you down for 100 crowns."
-----
Perf looks to Izzy, Alexandra and Malik. At Malik's harsher tone he immediately steps back stuttering. "Well we are to guards the western tower of Bordin's Watch. The place known as the tip of the spear. You will be the honored group who first fight the orc hordes."
The Paladin of Magnus from Perf's group claps the coward mage on the back,"No, my friend we will be the tip of the spear. The first shield of the Elsir Vale." He pulls the mage away.
"but Glorion we could the protectors of the Monestary. The shield of Magnus." The wizard is dragged away by the enthusiastic Glorion.

Alexandria extends the adventuring party work contract out to the group and waits for them to sign.

Oloric finds Jen accommodating to his wishes. "The Farstriders have a suite within High Hall. Maybe you would like to see how the other half live." If Oloric takes her up on the offer he will spend much of the evening in a luxury suite with Jen. The half-elven warlock displays an attitude of immediate gratification and a complete lack of thinking beyond the current moment and her wants.

Malik signs the contract. He will want to learn what this town has to offer afterwards

Izzy signs as well, of course. He'll be taking the payment in equipment; I'll put together a list later.

You spend the night with the best food, wine, and entertainment the dwarven city has to offer. The next day the parties march through the city and out to their missions in order they were drawn. The Farstriders leave first with the crowds of dwarves cheering them. Jen gives a smile and wave to Oloric on the way past. By the 6th group the crowd is leaving. By the 12th group you stand alone at the gate except for a couple of beggars in the shadows of the gate.
Please make a list of anything you want to purchase before leaving overlook.

Delrin looks over the contract and, finding nothing objectionable, adds his own name to it. Although, it would be hard to be certain he was signing his name, since the signature was a garbled mess. Then, he quietly exits the feast and retires to his room, eating and drinking from his own reserves since he still wasn't comfortable with eating at the feast.
The next day, since his funds weren't particularly robust, Delrin merely replenished his rations and made his way to the farewell parade. While he certainly found the whole ordeal to be excessive, there was nothing he could do but wait on Randir and hope that nobody nearby would make a bad decision.

The 1000 or 2000 in goods is total or each person?

Believe that's total, so between Izzy, Mal, Olly, Del, and Fargrim (if Alex is forgoing her cut) it's 200 gold or 400 in equipment. I'm assuming that's upon completion?

It is total plus those who find salvage/treasure receive the treasure or the dwarves retain the right to buy anything of special significance at fair market value. So if you find the Anvil of Moradin they would pay you for it. If you find some hobgoblin and kill him for his platemail, gauntlets of stormgiant power, and cool chain whip you would keep that stuff.
BIC Oloric is a little sad that no one sees his nice new banner as they leave the city for the Monastery.

As the group heads off on the trip Oloric arrives and speaks to the other 5. "After the cost of our banner and incidentals we will split 70 gp each from the goblin battle loot!"
Malik daydreams of gleaming platemails and giant powered gauntlets. Each crunch of the graveled road made by his horse another goblin skull is crushed.
OOC: Oloric took just gold and Malik took credit in hopes of having a platemail made once he has enough coins.

OOC: How far off is Malik from plate armor now? Since buying magic items doesn't seem to really be a thing in 5E, Delrin's pretty much as stocked up as he'll ever be, sans maybe some barding for Randir, so he'd be willing to donate his share of the last salvage and this job to the "Plate for Paladins" charity. Assuming it's a tax deductible donation, of course.

OOC: not super close yet. I would just get the things you need first. Probably will find an opponent with some or more cash pretty soon anyways or more gear to sell etc.
